I’m still struggling with this 6 months into 2021. There’s one thing that I realized beauty wise. It’s that I really love beauty products and I’m not a minimalist and that’s ok. I’m tired of trying to be different in that way. I’ve realized that I use beauty as self care and creative expression. I’m so thankful to have found your channel years ago because you’ve put me on to so many new products and news. Like I had no idea about Rodin! I didn’t even know that they were bought by EL. Love this video! I treated myself to some fancy shampoo by Oribe. I love the scent. I am also a fan of the By Terry balm de rose. A nightstand staple. I also decided if the world was going to end, I’d want soft hands and feet and bought Aesop geranium leaf body scrub and lotion. I also got the damascene rose facial treatment oil. I didn’t use much nail polish but got a fun bright orange from Olive and June. I also splurged on that Dyson hair wrap. Love it!

last year i continued to use my favourites in most of the self care categories : body cream the sol de janeiro bum bum one, and my fave body washes , the body shop satsuma and the l'occitane verbena one. My trusty hand creams were the aesop ressurection balm and the hemp cream from the body shop. I include perfume in the self care department and this year was a lost cherry by tom ford year. If ever there was a sweet escapist fragrance for me this is it.
Lovely video as always Matilda. I found painting my own nails to be such a relaxing and peaceful activity. I know own quite a few colors and don't think I'll go back to a salon except for really special occasions.
I was sold on the Necessaire products. I bought the sandalwood one though. I’m glad I remembered your code. REN rose looks good as well. I don’t mind stronger scents. Within reason. Speaking on the Daily Stone. I have been making them for many a year. I call them lotion bars though. See I don’t know how to market myself. Great video! I bought the Olverum bath salts and their travel size bath oil, and I love the wonderful scent. I rediscovered Aurelia London skincare. I only use the face creams together with their facial serum. Have finished a trial size of their Eucalyptus botanical cream deodorant, which is lovely. Going back to tried and tested brands again, Liz Earle's cleanse and polish cream cleanser, gentle face exfoliation and face tonic. Last year was nail polish year for me, as I have discovered your channel
Help me...can you please suggest to me a creamy super hydrating lip balm...i have tried the nivea lip balm n the Maybelline baby lips n i just hated them...they were not at all hydrating and jst made me feel like i had a wax layer on my lips...my go to product for lips was nivea creme(the iconic blue tin one) but i heard it doesn't have the best of ingredients...could you please suggest any products that has a similar feel...it it quite thick and creamy bt not at all sticky and it gets absorbed in my lips really well...thnks in advance

Haha it's actually very minimal Esther! I've worn Jo Malone Red Roses for the past 8-9 years straight ☺️🌹 I've never been much of a perfume collector but kept a few nostalgic scents from my teens and early twenties. Hope to film a video on them one day! x

Hi Matilda! Have you tried Liberty Belle Rx? It’s a Melbourne-based brand by a plastic surgeon. It’s more on the pricy side but I found it so intriguing. Wondering if you’ve tried it!
