I get a lot of info about hunting and I think this is a good idea and you are right the spray will last longer
could you paint it green or black to hide it
Doesn't matter, As deer will not see it,. If the deer is that close to see this you're not a very good shot.
Mine makes a noise when it sprays.

Yea works fine above 32 degrees don’t waste your time … made 3 of these threw them away
