Thank you very much! I follow you buying a Casio cts1 and it seems I find my perfect portable piano in the casio cts1 61 keys. As I am first a singer acompanied by acoustic guitar, second a fingerpicking guitar soloist with the casio cts1 I also can sing playing along sweet slow piano acompannied songs. Don't think I am going to play complicated piano songs. Thank you very much for so much information
Nice! I just ordered the Liano, 2 Days ago for 260 bucks... don't care about all the "nice to have" features. The feeling is most important for me, so it seems to be the right choice 😅
Korg immediately wins in terms of the number of keys - that's right, besides it has a phased sound (stretched over the panorama) + 120 notes of polyphony - this is already a winner. But judging purely by ear, I would prefer a Yamaha piano. Well, the comparison of organs - as if completely different voices were taken for comparison, everything is difficult to compare here. Considering that you would take either Korg or Casio with you, Korg is the clear leader. Thank you.
For the "Piano 1" sound on Korg (which is (for most usecases) the better one out of its 2 piano sounds), you get only 40 max. polyphony, because that sound is using 3 dynamic layers/samples for each note.
If it would exist, I would buy a truly ultra-portable 61-key version of the Liano. I can only hope one day they are making one, or at least a 76-key version.
I just ordered my Arturia keylab essential 88 mk3 because of you. I was deciding between the donner ddp100 and the arturia. I wanted the donner, but live in an apartment so I wouldnt be getting the most out of it, and also have more plans than just playing piano haha. Thanks for your videos. I can't wait!
Sir - anything cannot get better than this.... THANKS A TON for this video...I have a Kawai CN 29 at my home but I need a cheap portable keyboard for my practice when I am travelling....This video helped me like anything
My thanks to Jeremy for another interesting an informative comparative review. 88 is not necessarily better IMO. In a piano without fully weighted keys, most of us would never use the end keys. The Liano will not fit across the back seat of a car, and is too long for a small space in a home. I prefer 88 keys for home practice, but that is strictly on a weighted action. I use a P-121 on most of my gigs, but Yamaha no longer makes this model. It's very sad that pianists can't easily buy a 73/76-key portable dp with a weighted action anymore. Korg makes good products. (virtually always) but in this instance I prefer the Yamaha sounds. Furthermore, the 1st electric piano on the Liano has an exaggerated stereo sampling which is irritating when you are wearing headphones.
You might like the StudioLogic Numa X 73. It is supposed to have an excellent key action (Fatar TP/110). I agree that 88 is too big to fit in the trunk (without lowering a seat).
Nice, great job! I think the points should be weighted differently because some aspects are more important than others, like sound quality, touch, and speakers, which are more important than the type of connector, for example. However, for someone else, the connector might be important too. Please, if you could do a comparison between the Roland GO 88 and the Liano, that would be great! Best regards.
You're wearing headphones during sound tests. Does that affect your scoring? Sounds vary between live (direct) headphones or live speakers or (indirect) youtube internet audio... Thanks for informative videos.
Glad I made the time to watch this. The level of detail and objectivity made this review very informative. I own many Casio keyboards, so I am disappointed in how poorly Casio performed. Thanks again.
I had already made up my mind on the Korg so thank you for making the numbers suit my choice but really, how close are they all? the Yamaha and the Korg sound better than the calculator but any of these are going to be way more than I can demand, 88 keys has to make the Korg a winner, lucky number 🍀 😉
thank you very much for the comparaison of these 3 keyboard, I bought the yamaha np 35, i like it, i'm not a beginner and i have already a piano. the 76 keys is enough for me, i like very much the sound boost it's increase the sound and the layer sounds: piano+synth pad or bright piano + synth pad
Tip: The Casio feels a lot better when you set the Touch to Heavy. It is as if it becomes a different instrument. The default Touch setting of Medium overreacts and you get explosive forte dynamics instead of reasonable and controllable dynamics. It’s like a bull in a china shop treading on feathers.
Hey Jeremy, love your videos. I’m looking for a portable keyboard to use on stage with my band to do simple piano parts in the songs. Only needing probably 66 keys. Would the Casio ct-s1 fill this role? Would the small output jack cause me problems with sending the sound to the front of house mixer ?
Casio sounding compressed might be related to the eq capability suggesting the user should fine tune the sound. A lot of wireless headphones mistakenly demand users to customize the sound to their preference. Casio should learn and know better.
My ratings: piano: Korg. EP: Yamaha, though I see your point about the Korg. Jazz organ? The Casio, at least in your brief test, has the closest thing to the classic percussion setting utilized by most jazz and rock players (independent of chorus and Leslie of course).
Hi @JeremySee , I love your channel and all your content in general. I would love your opinion please, I'm looking for a performance keyboard between (in US terms) 300-450$, for church? It can be 61 or 76 keys, but not 88 keys. I've been doing a bit of research and so far my best options are: Yamaha PSR E473, Korg Ek 50, Roland Go keys 3... We currently use a Casio, which we love but we want to try other brands. Please help?
@JeremySee : Thanks for the great video . How much difference does that Yamaha damper resonance feature make though? I’m guessing perhaps not that much since Liano won the battle ?

Yamaha sounds nicest to my ears. Piano sounds really good with a warm like sound

Hard to decide-they all have their good points and sound wonderful to me!

Hello....I just want to let you know that I enjoy your reviews very much, greetings from Nogales Sonora México....

Nice comparisons. Thanks so much.
If it would exist, I would buy a truly ultra-portable 61-key version of the Liano.
I can only hope one day they are making one, or at least a 76-key version.
Personally, I thought the Jazz Organ on the Casio won hands down. But the Korg has the best sounding Rhodes piano sound.

Is the Liano giggable without line outs? Does using the headphone jack degrade the sound?
I had already made up my mind on the Korg so thank you for making the numbers suit my choice but really, how close are they all? the Yamaha and the Korg sound better than the calculator but any of these are going to be way more than I can demand, 88 keys has to make the Korg a winner, lucky number 🍀 😉

Finally i have my decision after watch your video, i think Yamaha NP35 is suitable for me. Thanks for your comparison video.
Can Korg Liano be used as a midi keyboard with usb?
the electric piano sound on the Korg is the only one that is truly stereo
My dad is a big fan of him
My gran is a big fan of his 😂
Are you talking about Jeremy?- I also like the way he demonstrates and compares instruments, he does it in a kind way.
There are other videos on UA-cam demonstrating the Liano, and it sounds very good.
The Korg seems to be the best, except for the few available sounds and the absence of layering. That's a big deal to me, at least.
I think you the Casio was on Mono compares to the other twos
Where can I order replacement parts for the Liano?Mine got keyboard problem after 1 year.
Enjoy your work...

whats the songs you played 3 times at around 4:00 minutes
actually do you just know the name of all the songs you played on this vid? sounded awesome
In my country, the Casio wins in price by quite significant than the other two... So, i will go for Casio
Unfortunately, long term reliability and durability cannot be compared in reviews. Otherwise, great shootout!

Please do a comparison video of PSR E383 vs Casio CT S1
I like Yamaha NP-35 76 more.
I would like to buy a not very expensive keyboard, focused on good Rhodes and Wurli style EPs, which ones would you recommend?
Gik for the Korg 😂
Hi Jeremy, What do you do with all these piano and keyboards that you buy to test?
Stereo phasing on korg is really annoying when playing with headphones, is there a way to turn it off? it's also the same on roland pianos ...
With the deals at Donner going on , would you pick the foldable semi weighed ep10 (150 euro) or the dp 60 (360) as a first piano ?

Why are you late to review the Yama SX920? Sir
so I guess the Roland Go 88 didn’t make the list
Bro , review sx920
Then the Yamaha P71 has fully weighted keys and 88 keys probably is quite good. Amazon exclusive though. Only like 50 bucks more than the Korg Liano
There's a reason why there's "ultra portable" in the title. P71 is DOUBLE the weight and has no battery operation.
@@JeremySee oh ok… yeah maybe ultra portable and weighted keys are difficult to coexist
