I stumbled across your channel on youtube, thank you for the show around this property. I am in the UK and following realtors on UA-cam allows me to see homes beyond my wildest dreams and to virtually visit different countries without leaving my sofa. This pandemic has kept me close to home since March with no respite in sight so I have no opportunities to travel.
I think the price for this fully furnished cabin and acreage to be very reasonable. I hope someone buys it and lives there all year round.
Our pleasure! Hopefully you will get to travel to Maine someday soon.
How far is this from the old Loring AFB?
Great tour, I like that you showed the the town and surrounding area.
Glad you enjoyed it
not much around ,you seen it ALL!
@@mattcampbell6553 if I am buying a mountain cabin ,I dont want much around.
Oh, my dream of dreams. Spent a couple of summers in Monson at a farmhouse with a large L and barn. Canoeing on Monson pond and listening to the loons, watching them dive. And then in Greenville. So much beauty. The closest places to heaven I have ever been. Thanks for showing this marvelous place.
Your welcome!
Hi Kathleen. Watch our new video this Sunday. If you have been to Monson, you will enjoy the video. Best regards.
Wow it's very beautiful , I could see me living there. I watch all of your videos, and appreciate you making them.
Glad you like them!
Me as well
I lived in Farmington, Maine, for a couple of years in high school and have been in Tennessee for 40 years. Seeing this makes me miss Maine all over again. Great video . . . thanks for the great blast from my Maine past. As a professional writer, I could see myself spending some relaxing and productive time in a cabin like this one.
Glad you enjoyed it
We have an off grid rental cabin, open June through November. It is located at the base of a mountain with no one around.

It is pretty country❤
I would definitely need a snowmobile in order to live here.. Beautiful property. The carpet needs to go along with other changes that I would want to make.. Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome. We could see some wood flooring being a nice upgrade, even a good quality vinyl plank would be durable for an off grid cabin.
Been all through there mountain biking. My former roommate, a forestry major, is from Jackman. Beautiful State. Love it.
Thanks for the comments. Happy New Year!
Really well done video & presentation. Enjoyed it very much. Conveys the reality of off-grid winter living with reassurance and comfort. Thank you -

This is a good value for the level of detail and finish for this area. Also full septic, well and generator. Also furnished.
We think so too.
AND 43 acres? Beyond a good deal! Couldn't touch that in Colorado for under $300k unless you go out on the plains. Much higher nearer the mountains.
How much is this ?
Man, I can’t believe the price that was, and no wonder it’s already sold! Thanks for including the driving tour and sharing the local amenities.

Hi Luis. Tune in this sunday. log cabin 190 acres. Thanks for watching.
beautiful, I just built a hardwood stair case in Rockwood (right next to boat launch ) , Maine in October . Stayed the night at Chalet Moosehead in Greenville. Beautiful country up there. Spent a week at "The Birches" in Rockwood in July! Awesome property you are showing ! Also, hope you fellas made in out , the snow looked deep enough to get stuck ! Lol

Tom, I'm trying to make the move, I'm 63 and a bit scared, but excited too. Share a place?
My compliments for your being straight up enough to put the price on the video. The price is fair to. Here in Tennessee we normally get wet snow, freezing rain, and end up with just cold mud. So, it kind of tries to be winter but just can't quite get there most of the time. It would be nice I think to go somewhere that has a real full blown winter December - March.
Thanks for watching and sharing. Come on up to Maine, we usually get a good winter.
Just love it. Floors would need to be redone in tile as have wild animals, and definitely heavy duty screen type out front that would hold in 50 lb. cats. Just so many ideas here with this place is really nice. My cats used to big big house and big big enclosures to go in and out as please, but this can be worked on. I like alone and desolate with close fishing is nice and town to run in every month or so for supplies. U got me here. My brain is in spin.
Come on up!
Rose, it sounds like heaven to me too!!! Away from everyone with my dogs and cats!!!
I would love to live off the corner of No Road and Goa Way.

I grew up hunting and fishing at the first camp into Markham pond, at the entrance to Enchanted. Watched them build Enchanted Ski area back in the 60's. Skied it until it closed, what a loss. Have hiked and hunted/fished that whole area, until I left Maine in 1974. Really miss it.

@@wesleyhorton4330 What’s your friggin problem !!
My problem is the current state of socioeconomic trends in this region. Over the past 4 years, particularly 2020, with the social distancing/work from home ideology, there has been an large and complicating influx of out of state interest in real estate and the deep pockets that it brings with it. I say complicating with the viewpoint of a local homebuyer. Homes in southern Maine particularly, and camps like this one are being bought by out-of-staters for considerably more than asking price based on the simple idea of an “escape from the city”. This is not an issue for anyone in the real estate or building industry, but for any local who is trying to gain an edge in the market and actually purchase a nice house or a pleasant retreat, akin to the one being shown in this lovely video. They have to not only compete with the fact that properties are on the market for hours, but also pay 20-60k over asking price. It is lamentable.
What should concern everyone who is in this industry is when the influx ceases. (The bubble pops) I’m not saying it will happen or when it happens, but I believe that once the dust settles folks “from away” will realize the simple lack of cultural diversity that they had become used to, and also the fundamental lack of population base that through the simple lack of taxpayers doesn’t allow their municipal government to perform tasks that they are accustomed to, I.e Garbage pickup, snow removal, salting the roads regularly, maintains the roads regularly. This revelation to some will drive the building bubble down, and also the overall prices of homes in the region. These things are done in many municipalities through the state, but not so in more rural configurations. A lack of population base may not seem like as big of a deal to someone from here, but I have met many people who simply cannot fathom the fact that they might have to drive 30 minutes for a gallon of milk, or over an hour to a Home Depot.
This disconnection can wear on people. Once it has worn too thin on some, and the dust has settled, I believe there will be and pronounced exodus of the, “city escapees” which will more positively influx the market for the perspective and local Maine buyer.
That is my, “friggin” problem.

Hi Chauncey. This Sunday we are launching a video of a log cabin on 190 acres. I think you will enjoy it. Cheers.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful cabin and property...amazing views all around! If it were just me I would definitely want to buy this property. Great price for an awesome cabin on 43 acres as well. However, my wife is from Boston and she moved to Virginia to get away from the long winters. Now that we're retired she wants to return to Maui, my home, or to the Gulf Coast of Florida. Although I'm from an island that's warm year round, I prefer four seasons. Serving in the Air Force for 23 years prepared me for different climates. My stepdaughter just bought a 43 acre farm with house, barn and other structures in the foothills of the Appalachians in Virginia. I would love to tell her I bought 43 acres with a cabin in the mountains of Maine. I will consult with the "boss" and see what happens.
Tell the boss it is time for a big bonus👍
Alexander, I live in the mountains of VA and absolutely love it!! However, I LOVE the mountains of Maine and would love to live up there!! I grew up on an island on the Chesapeake Bay and I prefer the mountains!! I’ve recently been doing genealogy research and 95% of my family if from Maine, NH & Massachusetts, but the majority is from Maine. I spent a summer in college working up there and it immediately felt like home!! I will live up there one day & hopefully it’ll be on a property like this!!!
Hi Alexander. Stay tuned this Sunday to see a log cabin on 190 acres. I hope you enjoy the new video. Thanks for watching.
I lived in Northern Maine for over two years back in 1983 - 1984 when I was only 19 years old, I had just joined the Air Force and got stationed at Loring Air Force Base. At the age of 19 I just hated the desolation, it rained all the time, cold, and all the snow. The summer only lasted two weeks. I hunted deer out in the Allagash Wilderness camped in a tent out there. Now that I am older living in a North Carolina city and saw this video. Id love to move into a cabin like this and retire out there in the middle of nowhere away from all the noise, traffic and idiots I find myself surrounded by now. Thanks for posting this video it's just the type of camp I could seriously consider buying.
Helped close Loring, my unit took some things before it went to DRMO. That was a nice part of country. Guess you gotta be the outdoors type.
Thanks for sharing, let us know if we can help locate a property for you.👍

Hi Kathleen. Tune in this sunday. log cabin 190 acres. Thanks for watching.
Thank-you for the ride up, it hasn't changed a bit along the moose river. no traffic. had to laugh at the little spruce by the drive in, happens on woodlots hate to cut them. total dearth of traffic. Cabins designed perfect, I know banks prefer gas stoves for heat ... but The area has this excitement about it, no where else on earth, so wide open yet cozy. Locals always mention 'ice out', (ask how their winter was) not that a bad ice out would bother this camp.
Thanks for the comments.
I think I'll be moving to Maine at some point in the future. Great scenery and reasonable housing prices in comparison to other less scenic states.
Thanks for commenting. Maine does have a lot of diverse scenery.
When you mentioned the health clinic for "emergent needs" you should probably mention that the highest level medical care you will receive in Jackman is paramedic. There are no docs, NP's, PA's RNs up there. ONLY paramedic level. We can do a lot, but we're NOT docs. The closest "hospital" is either back to Greenville or south to Skowhegan. Each are over an hour away. The closest "trauma" facilites are Bangor, Lewiston or Portland. 2-3 hours + by road. DO NOT get sick or injured. You better be self-reliant
Thanks for clarifying.
So, the MBTA doesn’t go there? 🤣
I am a Doctor . I I buy it I can start a UA-cam Channel called the OFF GRID DOC.
I live in county with 100k in CA, plenty of docs & 2 hospitals. Might as well be none because they're useless. Can't get in, or bad care. I'm not kidding. :/
An off grid Doc would work! You should do this!

6:30 Need a "Snow Cat" to get up there in this weather, ha ha. That was some pretty intense 4 wheeling! We don't get any snow like that down here, of course it doesn't stop about 50% of all vehicles on the road, being 4 wheel drive Jeeps, SUV's or Trucks. Your Tundra pays its rent up there in a foot of snow, so nice to see one in its element, not just blocking my view in traffic.

Rough hard working folk but theyve been some of the nicest people ive met.
Thanks for the comments Arthur.
Hi Arthur. Tune in this sunday. log cabin 190 acres. Thanks for watching.
Concerning the forested areas around the cabin . . . some significant event must have happened some time ago, because all the trees seem to be of the same age and quite young. There is a notable scarcity of old large trees. Perhaps a fire swept through the area, or it was heavily harvested. The forestry management people in that area should have some information. The time frame of the event can be almost pinpointed by taking a few trees and counting the rings to determine how old they are. Each ring equals one year. Then subtract those years and you'll have a pretty good idea as to when that 'significant event' took place. Beautiful Maine cabin!
Steven, aerial photos do not show what is on the ground. There are a lot of large maple trees on this property. The mountain top is older growth spruce/fir. Zoom in on a Google Earth photo and you will see the shadows of the large deciduous trees on the southern slope of this property.
