- Hi! In the video we see you DRAWING the automation in the lane: very cool and needed stuff in AUM!!! But I'm curious about RECORDING automations (i.e. whilst tweaking parameters on the touchscreen or via midi controller knobs/sliders/buttons)! Is it possible as well?
@@ImaginandoPt oh yes thanks Iread a reply on another video, where I also learn, if I'm correct, that the same thing is not possible with LK/Ableton mode. Did I get it right? And, if so, why?? (hope I'm wrong cause I'd like to use LK and rec automation lanes with both daws/devices)
Hi, Is it possible to use a pointer or marker to show where you are tapping on the screen? It is hard to follow without that. Other than that these are awesome video tutorials.
could it be that the current versions of LK works differently? I‘m trying to find this automation view, but there is nothing below the piano roll where i could find the menu options shown here that allow adding an automation lane. Unfortunately this video here is very fast in this details and it’s not visible where you tap on the screen… 1:49
In the newer versions of LK, you have an automations icon in the top right corner above the piano roll to show this view. Then, to add an automation lane, press the + icon in the automation editor (bottom of the piano roll view). Feel free to contact us from our website if you need any help!
OMG didn't know LK was capable of this. It's even cooler than I thought :) An arrangement view "Ableton-style" but with MIDI would bring this to the next level. Though we can already do great stuff with clip follow-up actions. Also I wrote you about ability to launch external sequencer instead of LK clip sequence, maybe it does it already but I didn't find it.
I’m struggling to keep up to your actions😢 It would be nice to see cursor, where you click. And slow down just a little bit, please. I’m a beginner in LK and it’s not that intuitive
@@ImaginandoPt in the current version on iPad I can't see the dropdown with written "Velocity", nor the buttons "+", "X", "Edit", etc.... that are necessary to follow this tutorial. Am I missing something? EDIT: figured out, I needed to press the "automation" icon (second last button above the piano roll, just before the 3-dots/squares button).
@@ImaginandoPtit would also be helpful if all the icons had a word of text(could be very small) below them saying what they do. For many of the buttons it’s not very clear to me what they do, and many are also not explained in the documentation. It could also be that the documentation on the website is not up to date to the current version?
I solved my issue, but I agree: the buttons are somehow opaque in their meanings. I also had the issue with the mismatching documentation Would be really helpful to have an overlay tooltip/help, that can be enabled clicking on "?", like other apps do (E.g. Tardigrain, or Agonizer, or Samplr). That makes it easier to keep the documentation in sync with the app version.
Привет всем. Вот ищу ответы на вопросы уж долго мучаясь. Кто знает почему не устанавливаются настройки через терминал для работы с midi по сети или же по usb (используя андроид как миди)? Hi, yes recording CC MIDI automation data is possible with LK/AUM :)

So great !!! App update of the year, we finally have proper automation within AUM 🥳
This was very helpful, thank you.
Thanks!
Love what you're doing as I learn how to create music on the iPad. Thanks for the tutorial and I look forward to more. Such a Pirate!
Thank you so much men!

Thank you so much Alexandros! LK it's capable of A LOT of things 😎
That’s a frightening toolkit behind you for software engineering!
We love hardware projects too -> ua-cam.com/play/PLTGUPbbJtgHA-mgB-A7PzCqg4yxu4j36m.html
Can you midi learn one of these buttons within lk to a hardware midi controller? Means- can i launch a pattern in the matrix with my launchpad pro?
Hi Clemens, indeed you can! Some controllers are even supported out of the box - check the controllers tab in LK menu.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback. This video was a little impromptu, apologies if we went a little too fast!
