I saw the thumbnail and thought why Shaun is unboxing GoPro again. Now, I realized that GoPro also launching a smaller one. Thank you for keeping us updated.
Great video! But GoPro, why do I have to turn on battery saver to film in 1080? Why isn’t that just an option? I like the more budget friendly camera idea especially as a second camera but would want a battery you can swap and at least 4k 60 as an option to slow down and time lapse. Can’t wait to see your long term review but these newer GoPros really got me looking hard at the DJI camera or insta 360.
Your GoPro mini 11 won’t be dead…it’s a common fault with it it’s happened to mine loads. I had to mess about holding the power buttons in for about 30s whilst connected to a charger. Have a google you’ll see lots of people with the same issue. All of a sudden it comes back on. When it does, something the battery isn’t even dead. The GoPro just got stuck in some kind of hibernation mode. A fix is to install GoPro Labs and turn the WiFi off on the camera and just use a QR code to turn WiFi on and off, as and when you need it. That’s fixed it for me.
Great review thank you. PSA: Quick tip for anyone using the Gopro Mini 11, only charge with GopPro OEM Cable. Other cables have overheated and disabled the camera so that it no longer charges (Probably what has really happened to the Gopro 11 Mini in this video). I have gone through 4 of these cameras and have finally landed on that being the issue, that I guess Gopro would never tell anyone but seems to be the case. I have order this new GoPro Hero and intend to only use the Gopro cable with that as well. Just in case.
I did notice that 5 days ago something strange happened with my Mini (at the present time the camera is still functional), where it was almost like it overheated without shutting down (and it only shut down when the battery ran flat, it was recording at 5.3k30 8 by 7 at the time) I will admit i do sometimes charge my Mini with a third party cable, i should probably check to see how much power it is drawing when using that cable (anything up to 5W should be safe, but above that i will need to be careful)
I got this camera two days ago. Pretty nice but seems to have problems with battery or needs an update from gopro. It drains from 100 to 75 in one minute without recording. Just being on
Always enjoy your unboxing and overview videos. In a non camera related question, I like your watch band. Can you tell me where you purchased. Thanks Craig.
I purchased it on Amazon. The brand is.Hayonliy it was fairly an expensive, but I actually really like it. Does add a bit of weight to the watch though.
Hi! Very good introductory video. I'll wait for the full review. I have an important question: to use the stabilization, do you have to pay the 10€ annual subscription, or is this feature free in the Quik app? For me, this is a very important factor. I don't mind the stabilization being software-based, but if I have to pay annually for it, in the future, the camera will be very expensive for all the defects it has.
This is my thought too, I’ve never owned a GoPro or any action camera and wanted something easy to use but the stabilisation is important and I don’t want to be tied to a subscription.
I still can't decide if i want to get one of these (in addition to a 13) If i do end up getting one i will have to figure out a way of using it without having it paired to my phone (as for reasons i don't want to go into, i would rather not have it linked to my main GoPro Account) Also, i think this is the first time you did a video on a budget GoPro
Exactly that’s the problem sometimes with these built-in batteries. If it had a removable battery, I could just pull it out and pop in a new one. If you’re looking for a small wearable camera, the action 2 is a better choice in my opinion. My original one is almost 4 years old or three years old and it’s still going strong.
@@AirPhotography Alright, thanks for the info! The reason I'd like to stay with GoPro though, or rather the problem, is that I somehow prefer the image coming out of GoPros. There's just something more natural about it, especially if tuned just right. Or would you say DJI has that dialed in by now, too?
got the Action 5 pro days ago and i feel like gopro is finally done. nobody cares anymore. 90% of all people i know are so done with gopro. whats your guys opinion? anybody? DJI A5 pro or gopro?
@@ScottsReviews yes. for my FPV quads i use O3 footage if i dont need perfect quality. or i strap the action 4/5 pro on if i need good quality. but i sold all my gopro stuff long ago after several ruinied holidays of freezing video, software crashes, overheating nonsense, you name it. i was so fed up with gopro. just gave my Action 4 to my local DJI dealer, paid like 80$ and got the new A5 pro. super happy with it. only cam i will buy soon is 360 X4 and get rid of my X3. every other cam i own will be gone after that. keep these 2 will cover everything i ever wanna capture.
The problem with built-in batteries besides being inconvenient is the fact that ALL batteries WILL fail. When it does fail you will be left with a useless device.
Good day, I hope you can help me, I don't know how to place it to charge, only the cable comes but I don't know whether to connect it to a computer or what type of charger, I wait patiently for your answer, thank you
You can connect it to any USB-C port. Like if you have one from a phone or tablet, you can use that charger to charge up your GoPro. If you don’t have one, then you will have to purchase one you can get them fairly inexpensive on Amazon. I would recommend at least a 45 W but really any will work.
What a pointless camera (in my opinion). For a smidge more money you can get a DJI Osmo Action 4 🤯 Well done video, very informative! Thanks for giving us a look at it!
Yeah, I have a lot of mixed feelings about this camera. I get what GoPro was trying to do, but I think they could’ve gone about it a little differently.
The lack of stabilization didn’t work for me. I’m happy with the GoPro 11 Mini. I like having all the features but in a smaller and lighter version of the GoPro 11. I think it’s great for a beginner.
Its def not as small as insta 360 go 3s when separated but idk its just small and convenient in a way. I dont need a screen on a front of a go pro and i definitely dont want a mini that doesnt have a screen on the back & just a camera. So this hero got ups ups, some things may be bad tho
Love this little camera. Always loved the session style cameras more than the regular black series.
I saw the thumbnail and thought why Shaun is unboxing GoPro again. Now, I realized that GoPro also launching a smaller one. Thank you for keeping us updated.
Indeed, it probably is a little confusing lol I’ll have a full review of this little camera coming in about a week
I’ve no intentions of buying this camera but still watched the video, you can’t beat a video from Shawn 👍
Thank you very much. I appreciate that.
@@AirPhotography is it Shawn or Sean?

I like the pricing for this but What which version would you compare the camera quality to?

Looking forward to a full review of this one. Especially how annoying doing the stabilization is and how the stabilization compares.
Just finished filming the full review. Hopefully will be uploaded in the next couple of days.
I appreciate it. Thank you.

Makes sense, my GoPro Max shut off yesterday while charging and streaming with a non GoPro cable
Interesting thanks for sharing that

Let’s compare it with Hero 11 Mini, shall we?
There's no comparison.
Great comparison, and review! Thanks

I’m not a fan of having an internal battery but since I purchased from Best Buy, I have a great warranty for 2 years.
Great video as always. Would you still recommend the 11 Mini, especially battery wise? Nevermind, you just said it doesn't turn on anymore😂

Great video. But for 140€ extra I bought already DJi action 5. It is a lot of big différences between for only 140
Very true.
I think it would be a better idea to buy a 2nd hand 10

No, it does not

How do i get a head strap mount for this? :O
There are many different ones available on Amazon as long as they have finger mounts they are all compatible
Can we shoot 1080 60 on this
Unfortunately, no 2.7 K 60 is the only option for 60 FPS that’s what they are consider considering their slow motion on this camera

Looks like a bunch of e-waste to me... The Insta360 Go3S is quite the opposite of this w/ regards to innovation.... GoPro is dead to me!
