No! You will not be happy with the results. If you want to stick to about $200, the DJI Action 4 is currently available for just $209 (amzn.to/4gp92BR ) and is a far better camera (and not that much bigger).
I have a GP10 and bought a GP11 a few weeks ago instead of a GP12 or GP13 due to lack of GPS or compatibility with attachments. Not sure what GP marketing is thinking. I guess they are desperate due to DJI and instant360 competition.
No. The sensor is way too small. If low light shooting is important to you, this is not the camera for you. Better off with a DJI Action 5 or Insta360 Ace Pro 2.
For the cheap variant, there is also the GP 11 mini which looks like it is outperforming the 13 mini in all aspects though I would still get the regular GP 11 over this as you mentioned, if for nothing else, then for the removable battery.
Good video - thanks for the review. Was never in the market for the GoPro Hero, but did want to know more about it and how it might compare to the Insta360 Go3S - glad I went for the Go 3S in the end, certainly not missing anything with the GP.
Its unfortunate that GoPro have decided to drop the Quik desktop app YIKES, the image quality of the Hero 4K is close to what i would expect from an under £60 chineese camera
You seem to be missing the point (my OPINION) there is a BIG market out the and GoPro want it, thousands of money straped people who buy a certain 'cheapo' camera, you know the one, they make claims about 4k that are wide of the mark, anyway, what door opens to the market, well, a cheap no nonsense camera that grabs a sleeping market, a market that them moves on to the real stuff, like your reports but this one is missing the issue, of course it is a camera only, like a camera with no lens, cheap but missing smething, personally I would be awarding GoPro for their marketing ploy, "Lets grab a virgin marke and lay some foundations for the future of GoPro boy" pretty tired of Action 5 rubbish and obvious support and promotion by that company, but as I said, it is only my oppinion, "Well done GoPro, hope grabbing this cake will move our industry into better things with more members, i.e. remember the Kodak Box Brownie, almost everybody had one....................
Thanks for the input. Honestly, I hope you’re right and I’m wrong - believe it or not I’m actually rooting for GP, but personally I would prefer to see them get back on track though innovation and giving us cool new features and capabilities that we never even knew we needed. Instead of chasing the market they need to go back to inventing the market!
Well, that saved me £200 - thanks! I want a small, light, simple camera for mounting on a motorbike helmet to capture scenic bits of days out and about. Set up in advance and use one-touch recording. On paper all looked perfect, but IQ really lets it down. If I'm wanting to capture a view, I want to see it in some kind of detail. It's a No from me.
Maybe check out the DJI Action 4. Now that the 5 has launched it’s available for bargain prices. It’s not as small as the Hero mini but still pretty compact and FAR better IQ and features.
I am looking for a simple camera for snorkeling and skiing holidays do you think the hero4k is the answer?
No! You will not be happy with the results. If you want to stick to about $200, the DJI Action 4 is currently available for just $209 (amzn.to/4gp92BR ) and is a far better camera (and not that much bigger).
Good morning friends, how long can a GoPro 4k record and what is the picture quality?
It will manage almost 90 minutes at 4K, but quality is not good.
Thank you for the explanation.
I totally agree with the ideas expressed in this video.... the comprimises given in this unexpensive version are not worthwhile.
Such a shame - GP really should not be placing its name on this “toy”.

I know - I really wish they would get back to innovating.
Does this perform well on low light/ night time recording?
No. The sensor is way too small. If low light shooting is important to you, this is not the camera for you. Better off with a DJI Action 5 or Insta360 Ace Pro 2.
I hope you are well. I mailed you but didn't get a reply. Is there any other way to contact you?
sorry I didn’t see anything. Try again: contact.ttlchannel@gmail.com
@@ttl_channel Hello dear, I have mailed you again. Please check the mail. I hope, the mail will help you to get more viewers on UA-cam.

Glad it was helpful! I plan on posting a comparison video vs the GO 3S and DJI Action 2 shortly. Stay tuned

Agreed!
It is not supporting external microphone
I believe no
Be thankful it supports video recording... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I left GoPro at Hero 4 and never looked back. The promo videos were embellished and customer service was endless BS.
Which camera did you go for instead?
@@ttl_channel Nothing until insta360 X3. My most recent is the Ace Pro.
gopro 4k will not work if you have windows 7
Windows anything!!
