1:24 ... took me ages to approximate this chord for 3 string cigar box guitar but I did and I was able to adapt the whole tune to cbg! I've got a lot of DSOTM adapted (minus thd Gilmour solos of course!)....
Great video. No nonsense, kinda. I notice you use an interesting picking pattern. It looks like dduduudu . Is this important? Is that preferable to alternate picking or all downstrokes? Thanks!
hehe. kinda. I don't know the names for things like that because I learned guitar alone. but it seems to me that if the string you're going to pluck is below the one you're plucking then you should pluck down, and of course visa versa
Cool lesson Ryan! One of the greatest songs ever. My favorite version is from Delicate Sound of Thunder, the saxophone is amazing in that version. Saw David Gilmour live Division Bell tour when I was in high school. How time flies! Have to give this lesson a try. I know you like turtles and tortoises and you have an India book. In India they breed different species of turtles to help clean the Ganges river they eat the flesh of dead bodies floating in the river. Us and them after all we're just ordinary men. Namaste Ryan
@@RyanLendt Yes that is wild. The Indian star tortoise reminds me of Super Mario Brothers character. I imagine you still have your tortoises, I remember seeing them on one of your lessons. They are real interesting species. Little dinosaurs. Thanks again Ryan for Us and Them lesson. Going to focus, practice and give this song a shot. 🐢✌
First like!! That poor bell has lasted as long as I’ve been watching your content. If I hold the phone upside down, your hair looks like gravity is acting on it.
it used to be a regular bell. then i replaced it with another regular bell. regular bells don't last long when you throw them. the current iteration is fairly invincible.
I love Floyd but this will be the first song of theirs I will attempt to learn. Top lesson Ryan. Cheers.
quite an honor :)
Fantástico, muito obrigado!!!
