even Tauriel was a character created for the Hobbit, the love story between Kili and Tauriel i thought was not fitting for the movie but a love story between Legolas and Tauriel would have been better kinda like Arwen and Aragon, although Liv Tyler is the most beautiful elf on screen, when i heard Liv Tyler sing Arwen's song i was amazed at her voice, i think more strong female strong elves would have helped the story even though it was not Tolkein's original thought, epic trilogies that will go down in history as amazing contribution to cinema
I agree! I think it would have been better if Kili saved Thorin's life instead if Tauriel's, like in the books. And aslo a yes at the idea of Tauriel's relationship with Legolas like Arwen and Aragorn. Cuz they got together in the end and married and got kids 🤣😂❤

@@clarissakagoro7401 Yes, in the Hobbit book Legolas is never mentioned. He is the son of Thranduil, but he is not present during any of the events that take place in the book. As for Tauriel, she was created solely for the movie.

AWWWWW MAN Kili i was shipping them from the start
So many people in denial. You guys do realize that Tauriel loves Kili right? She held Thranduil at arrow point to stop him from leaving when she heard that Kili and the dwarves were in danger. She ran to Ravenhill to try to get Kili out to save him. He unfortunately died protecting her and she grieved over his body and gave kisses. She never loved Legolas, the movies made that very clear.

On the contrary, I am one of those who knows these facts. Although many people do not like the story of Tauriel and Kili, I find that it suits our time. It doesn't matter what blood or race or color. Love is love and it breaks all boundaries.
And the elves hating the dwarves, and the dwarves hating the elves... well, that's actually symbolising what happens in our world nowadays. People dislike each other because of the color of their skin. And we are actually one and the same race!
I find Tauriel's and Kili's story inspiring because their love is breaking the boundries.
This small clip was made for a young lady that simply loved the idea that Legolas and Tauiel could be a couple.
As for Kili and Tauriel, I really love their story for more reasons than I've mentioned here.
I'm not in denial. I totally get the story of tauriel and Killi. I really liked what PJ did it was a bit of story to go along with the main story. In the books there's not much to go on in regards of killi and fillis death but you show more empathy by knowing a bit more about them. I still feel for legolas he loves tauriel and will even help her follow her heart. It was so beautiful how he saved her then let her mourn in peace. I just hope (fictionally) that in the 80 years leading up to lord of the rings. That they found each other again. As they are great together. I ship that something kindles between them later yet she has to leave for the undieng lands for some reason or has his baby. I know abit much but talkian never went into much depth about some of the characters backgrounds only little is known about legolas and gimli apart from their fathers been part of the hobbit book and legolas being old but not as old as the old forest. Legriel forever! Lol

I wish that Tauriel and Legolas were allowed to be together or disobeyed the king orders to be together because it is sad that they are not- it’s a bit cringy how he says “our future begins here” and also words like “thus” and “thou” because that is not the way he would speak- but I wish the story went like that. I would dream for another film to be made and it to be mainly based on tauriel and Legolas and I also realised leggy has his own emoji- 🧝♂️ #legriel

I actually prefer the version of the film - though the character of Tauriel is a pure invention of Peter Jackson. But in this one he did very well and the message is clear: Deep love can transcend all barriers, fortune, race and differences in upbringing and mentality - even those created by a scornful god Iluvatar, who would not have a mere valar as the creator of life on middle earth and who swore that dwarfs and elfs would never see eye to eye :-))) For the same reason, i find the deep friendship between Legolas and Gimli so endearing! And it is true love that sometines enables us to renounce the one we cannot have and still aid him or her, like Legolas does. But I think in one aspect we are all of the same opinion: King Thranduil profoundly lacks heart and honour here. Perhaps not every being is capable to stay warm-hearted and caring for his or her fellow creatures in the face of immortality - some might turn into a beautiful, but vain, arrogant, cold and empty shell.
