So much awesome musical energy. Even though half the set isn't from the first album, they still want to cook up a special intro for Space Baby that I've never heard in concert or on any recording. Love that.
Too many of the typical rock fans take rock and roll way to serious with little sense of humor in their music. It has always baffled me that the tubes were not bigger than what they were. They were outstanding musicians and did better theatrics than anyone else.
You are SO right. I was one of those wankers who took rock WAY too seriously back then. What The Tubes were doing was genius! My loss that I never saw them back in the day
the mixing console volume control board guy really messed up during "Stand Up and Shout" . Could hardly hear Sputnik Spooner's great guitar work . although you could hear Roger Steen's great guitar work near end of song.
......arguably as X-rated as the LIVE presentation of "Mondo Bondage" IS, works on OTHER levels as a commentary about labor REMOVED of that visual aspect.....
