A 140 years old swedish hymn song by a Norwegian swedish-Persian-Japanese 11 year old vocal genius. It can't be better than that. Even this 50 year old Scandinavian atheist gets some religious feelings.
It took years for the song to be translated into English, and become popular in the States.

I know how you feel. I have a list of over 30 artists, mostly singers, I follow their careers on their UA-cam channels, but most of my day is spent watching and listening to Angelina reaction videos. I only listen to the others if they have a new recording. The Reactors alone have provided me with the opportunity to watch and listen to Angelina over 9,500 times.

One of the greatest renditions of this song ever, and she is 11 years old hitting those incredible notes in perfect pitch....just totally unexplainable. @@sip4119 Just for the record, that aligns pretty well with my own numbers. As of today, I've found 1013 channels with AJ reactions, although at least a handful of those are duplicates of channels that have been renamed since I first came across them (I've accounted for some such renames, but not all of them).
BTW, pretty sure the original upload was in December 2019, actually, so she would have been 13. *EDIT* Oh, but it was on Fanclub Mosarz, so it could have been from anytime. Hmm… actually, I think Ivan is the guitarist, so that would mean she was 12.
She is beyond amazing.
As you read the comments, you see the building of the legend of Angelina Jordan Astar. Myths are told, age is uncertain, there is uncertainty about why the song was removed, etc.
Don't forget that she is said to be up to 6’ 1” tall. Soon she is certain to be reported to be even taller. Not that she needs any more attributes to make her any more remarkable.

Angelina is a contralto, one of the most rare voices in the world, specially with the range she has.
The only other living contralto I know of would be Diana Ankudinova....
@@Grumpy_Rabbit There's some more, you can Google about it. The singer's talent to use that kind of voice makes all the difference.
Contralto range is from F3 to F5 usually. Angelina goes much lower here at least down to C3. It is very low notes even for tenors.

The much higher pitched "Bye" with a wave was the perfect ending to this song. It really emphasizes and puts and exclamation point on the down-in-the-basement notes that she was hitting throughout the song. IMO, that would be really shocking for a first-time Angelina listener.
Dave, thanks for this wonderful reaction. It's a fantastic interpretation and Angelina sings this religious song in her beautiful way, managing to keep an incredibly low register with no apparent effort, very slow and measured and absolutely emotional. Very few singers can, with so little (aside from her beautiful voice), create so much emotion and involvement. ❤️ ❤️

Some call Angelina the female Elvis. A high compliment indeed. Does anyone know why this performance was taken down after just a few days? Thankfully a couple reaction videos were made to make this awesome performance available now.
Could it possibly be due to a copyright claim for the video background?
I remember reading a comment shortly after it was removed that Angelina did not think it was good enough, but I've never seen any verification of that.
@@peterhormell1511 The video background was put together by Yozhik, who, I think, must have downloaded the performance from the Mozartz channel, or from TrickyRicky’s reaction. As far as I know only three reactors were in time to catch this before it disappeared, and Ricky played it all the way through with good audio. This video was only up for a short time before it was taken down. Why? I don't know and nothing was published regarding it. Because she missed that one, lowest, note? One of Angelina's mysteries.

With all the videos she's got out there where she does miss a note they still leave it up so I don't know why they would take it down just cuz she didn't get to a low note

Dave, I heard a vocal coach saying that she sings this beautiful song on contra alt register and some notes even lower ! This is so incredible because, according this coach, she is still so young and her voice is still on the high pitch!!!BUT she is Angelina and she can sing anything and on any level. I'm with you my friend. I get excited to hear her next lines. I have even teared up and for the first time ever, now I know what it means to get chill bumps when I hear someone singing so beautifully. I watch you with the constant smile and that reminds me of me. I did or do the same thing. But I surprised myself when my first tear fell but do you realize what it comes down to? With the fan painting in the background .. this displays her mastery of that lower register combined with other very hard to do techniques way beyond her years. It’s also a translation into the English version of the song that is French originally I think.. correct me if I’m wrong..
