Well, it was interesting to find out that Chendra was the one who inspired this miniseries, and hearing the pygmy elephant provide a positive rumbling noise towards the goats was pretty cute. :)
It's so great that the animals get to roam around the zoo like this and meet new creatures, it's great enrichment for them. Big props to Oregon Zoo for doing this

Aww that little Nubian goat is absolutely adorable! 😍 I sincerely wish everyone (and the animals) at Oregon Zoo all the health, happiness and safety that can be afforded in these times. As a past staffer at Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, i understand and value what happens in zoos to keep them running and keep everyone healthy. With most countries shut down and many seriously ill, zookeepers still have to be there every day for the animals welfare and wellbeing. Be safe out there all. Namaste 🙏
woah. i've never noticed that, and i'm good at noticing small details like that. för example, i remember what and how someone did something at a party over 10 years ago. Not gonna bother try to explain what it since it'd take 5 hours because of my aphasia

@Path Considering the Supreme Court itself isn't really politicized, they aren't. Supreme Court justices may lean in particular directions politically, but that doesn't mean that they will rule that way on the bench. For example, there's been a number of "conservative" judges that have ruled in so-called "liberal" directions from time to time. See the judge appointed by W Bush that ruled that Intelligent Design is religious in nature and does not belong in science class. Also Gorsuch has actually ruled against Trump in at least one case that's gone before the Supreme Court - and he was nominated by Trump. We often discuss Supreme Court decisions in terms of politics because the primary ppl commenting on their rulings are themselves politicians, but also because those decisions have very heavy political implications, despite efforts throughout US history to depoliticize the court system and try to keep it as neutral and apolitical as possible. With all that in mind, I don't like the cult of Ruth Bader Ginsberg. She's not the progressive that the cult makes her out to be. She was best buddies with Antonin Scalia and that kind of friendship doesn't happen if you are as much of a progressive feminist as she portrays herself to be.
They're the only two female Supreme Court Justices, and maybe they got them the year Sotomayor was nominated? Point is, I think it's cute. Goats judging you.😏
They walk up to 50 miles a day. When they don't move, that's when they have physical problems.” Fico also contends that elephants in captivity typically die at about age 40, while those in the wild live into their 70s.
Any zoo experts know where the Oregon Zoo stands among other zoos of the world? It must be considered one of the best examples of how a Zoo much be run to be considered 'humane', no? I visited zoos in Japan and honestly left feeling worse than when I entered. Tigers in cages WAY too small for their size. Elephants frustrated and actually throwing rocks at visitors. I felt awful for them. Completely different vibe with the Oregon Zoo, it seems!
I'm not sure where they stand with other zoos, but the Oregon Zoo is AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) accredited, which is a big deal. I used to volunteer there, and every time that the accreditation people came around we were all a bit stressed. It never really mattered though, because the zoos kept their standards high and it shows.
This is pretty good, but I’d like to see some animals meet that would be logistical nightmares, like...an elephant and a whale shark, or a giraffe and a whale shark, or a gorilla and a whale shark. Preferably all at the same time.
I'm SO glad you don't remove the horns of the goats. I will never understand why many people in the US let those horns being removed. All with the excuse that something MIGHT happen. It's not even allowed in my country and every pet farm has miniature goats WITH horns. And nothing happens. So I'm glad to see your goats have horns.
Goats : " Why is that big huge rock moving?"
they would probably like to climb that rock ! Then a big surprise--
'I like that boulder, THAT is a NICE boulder."
"Why does that boulder have EARS?"

No photos of goat on elephant, just goats standing on friendly rhinos. Seriously.
One of the best Elephant enclosures I’ve ever seen. The elephants look happy....
No they don’t there eating old and disgusting grass
Ameer Meqbel they would sway in sadness if they where unhappy

I was thinking the same thing. I thought I was just high 😂 that editor is legend
really hate goat eyes, they are creepy! ;)
I read your comment 1st before seeing it, which made it even better, more enjoyable!!

It's really nice to see a zoo with elephants in it that aren't behind bars or concrete with a tiny space, really good
Usually I'm not really fond of Zoos but this Zoo seem like they actually care about their animals! It looks really nice!
It is! I grew up here and I can't tolerate most other zoos because I grew up seeing it done right.
Youre actually kinda stupid
I volunteer at a zoo and often recommend that people do their research and check for accreditation before visiting any zoo.

I hate sand. It's coarse, rough, irritating, and it gets everywhere.
Oh Annie, you'll always be that little boy from Tattooine. Now stare at that goat and make it die Lord Vader!
This sand is very smooth, it's a particular kind that has rounded edges on the grains so it's not abrasive.

ZooVisitorMM yes.... if you’re keep a wild animal caged do the best you can to make their habitat close to the real thing. This was impressive.
