I just opened the package to the smoked version of these, and there is no need to cut wires. They probably saw that they needed to create a true plug and play version because mine came with all 3 clips!

Just wanted to revisit and say thanks again. Was able to learn how to wire up my own clips while keeping the factory wire harness. Wire diagram and parts are all good in case anyone is reading the comments. Keep up the build!!

love to see more of the reverse and blinking after your done but those tail lights look so SICK! def have to pick them up for upgrading my 2013 frontier

Hardwiring is easy if you want to save a few bucks but I would definitely get the new clips and save your stock harness! You are welcome and thanks for the sub!

Got a '13 Frontier new. What gets me Frontiers are still in production while you can way more aftermarket parts for a Chevy S-10 that's was last made in 2005!

This is exactly my truck. Gunmetal Gray, Pro4X. 2019 .
So far so good. I did my headlights, fog lights, rear back up lights. I want to do my interior lights to blue or ice blue.

I have a black truck and was looking for the murdered out look.Also the plugs are not plug and play on my 2011 Suzuki Equator (rebadged frontier). Looks great though and was an easy install

Yeah, I wish it was lol. Price is pretty fair I think, and it should be plug and play for 05 - 13 I am pretty sure and maybe 14.

For the cost of these, they should include a wire adapter harness

I ordered the smoked ones for my 2012. I think the last owner of my frontier had some of the wiring modified when they added a camper shell. DRL works but it's on constant. So I gotta figure out what's going on

I've actually been thinking about deliberately reversing the tail light and the brake light. Since we use the brake more than the tail light it would be cool to show off the unique patter as brake light more often. What's the brightness difference ?
It would work just fine, There is a noticeable difference between the brake and tail light.
What are you supposed to do with the white clip when putting in the new tail lights?
I believe they changed the plugs since I made this video.
Great and detailed installation video. I want to get a set for my truck but I wanted to know if the smoked lens ones are too dark for daytime. I like the red lens ones that you installed but I want to be seen in the day and night when braking and signaling. Let me know if you have any input. Your truck looks great!
Thank you, I haven't seen the smoked ones in person but pictures make it look like they will be fine. You could always just get red lens pair and either tint them or use vht nite shades to darken them up.

They should now come with the correct wiring for all years now.
They look awesome! I don’t really care for the sequential turn signal. Is there any way to turn it off? And is the turn signal amber or red?

you can’t turn off the sequence, however there’s another style of LED taillights that are C-shaped on ebay. i prefer that look better, they have a simple halogen turn signal which can easily be swapped with an LED bulb so they aren’t sequential

I have a link in the description with a wiring guide if needed but I believe these tail lights are plug and play now and do not require any cutting to install.
Thanks, very helpful. Your frontier is post '14? Do the the back-up lights provide adequate light? How does compare to original reverse lights? I'm about to install the Morimoto headlights . These tail lights modernize entire truck.
I agree about modernizing the truck! Yes my truck is a 2018. Light output is great all around being led. I would say the reverse is probably brighter than stock. I want the Morimoto headlights too, hopefully I can pick a set up in the future.
I’ve got the smoked versions of these lights but the rear light has gone. How do I replace the LED’s?
Honestly, I have no idea. I am not sure the LEDs are replaceable. Reaching out to the seller is probably the best bet.
Do terminals/pins come with the connectors? If not what kind did you purchase?
yes, the pins come with the new terminals.

It was fairly easy but I am pretty sure they now include the wiring to make it completely plug and play
What you end up doing with the pin that didn’t line up ? Did you just leave it alone and just used the other side to keep the taillights up? That’s one issue I had with some I bought and that’s the reason I didn’t install mine an still have them laying around.
The mounting pin? Yeah I just didn't end up using it. Its only mounted with the two bolts. Definitely not as secure, but if you push it into place while tightening it...it lines up good and stays put
Where can I get better headlights than the terrible ones, that came on my 2000 Nissan frontier?
I have no idea, I would just check reviews for whatever is available on amazon.

No worries, neither am I lol. hmm, maybe..? I have not tried looking honestly, but if I had to guess, probably not. They were fairly hard to track down the correct ones as it was. The pins anyways..yes you probably could buy those locally, but the plugs will be hard to find.
I've heard the reverse leds aren't very bright. Is this true?
Hmm, they look fine to me...I will take it out in the sun and try them out and try to get a picture
How is the output during the day? I see some reviews saying they are kind of dark in the daylight.
I think they look good...haven't noticed them being too dim, but I didn't get the smoked lenses either...im sure those are not as bright.
Dude!…thx so much for that video!!….I feel like a DUMASS once again for jumping down that F’N CHINESE “rabbit hole again!!! I ordered these for my 2019 Frontier SV 4X4….for X-mas…they came in time..(99.00) extra!!…Scandalous!…but here……I’m an electronic tech for over 35 years…& all I received was the tail lights and bubble wrap!!!…that’s it…..Ive been going back & forth with the EBAY provider for schematic’s…& nada!….where or who did you buy these from?…..on a different note….who do you think they are making these for??….they obviously come pre-harnessed with plugs and all…????….RIGHT?…..somebody’s doing “plug-N-play”….but DEFINITELY not us!!….US ROCKS!!!!
No problem, glad to help! I am pretty sure the harness only works for pre 2014 trucks but sucks they didnt have a decent directions or adapter to make it work with the newer trucks.

can the white clip on the tub be moved to fit the new light locator?
I would have to pull it all apart again to check, but off the top of my head it won't work....Not to say that it is impossible to make a mount to adapt it.
@@EndMotive i noticed it has another locator hole and thought it may be able to be moved.
I just installed these on my 2019 sv and they look great, however I am getting hyperflash in the turnsignals with them. Have you had any issues with hyperflashing?
I have not had any hyperflash issues. The turn signal still work though?...hard to say, but it might need a resistor.
@@EndMotive Yes , turn signals are working , just hyperflash. I have been unable to replace the turn signal relay with a LED compatable one. I'm told that will solve issue. We will see.

do yours have a gap on the side part of the tail light and the bed because the rivet did not go in the hole?
Yes a small one. Definitely not the same fitment as oem.
@@EndMotive I put mine on and it seems the tighter i put them the gap opens more so I had to leave them a bit loose. I'm planning on grinding the part where the bolt holds to an angle where I tight it then it will be forced to close the gap

I actually deleted the video, I still have the info and will still be trying to build a budget 4 piston kit for the Frontier...but I sold my house and everything is in storage so I cant do much until I get settled somewhere.

Accidentally cracked the driver's side lens adding a tailgate assist strut... bought a so-called OEM replacement, Amazon rip-off assembly withe the wrong shaped bulb tab holes, had to return it!!!
So ordered the smoked version of these LEDs after watching your video for my new/used 2020 Pro-4x... sposed to be here in couple days!!!
