I went to college in my 30's - attending night school while working as a home contractor and started medical school at 41. I became interested in medicine while volunteering as an EMT. I am 64 now and love being a doctor. I would advise anyone who is interested in changing their path in life, to volunteer in their community and talk to as many people as possible. You will be surprised how you grow by giving of yourself to others.

Omg, I can’t stop crying. I’m 41 and my dream is to be a naturopathic doctor. I’ve been into holistic health my entire life. I’ve gone to school in the past for things that were practical but my heart wasn’t in it. If I do this, I will be almost 48 by the time I finish. The time is going to pass either way so I might as well go after my dream. ❤
I met a lady who was 41 who went back to school for mechanical engineering. She always wanted to be an engineer but got married and had kids. She finally became one and made her dream come true.
You don’t need to put a time stamp on it. Just go ahead and do it. The idea is to get it done and learn from it. You will be blessed just to get accepted into the program..
I'm 32 too. All I want to do is get a master's in either psychology or Linguistics. That's been harder said than done for me. I have the money, I have the time, but I've shifted my thinking on how to retire. It seems that thinking about retirement and going to college don't mix that well. I don't want to be over 40 when I finish my B.S. but I have a feeling exactly that is going to happen.

They have post back program for some schools and other options is Caribbean medicine school not bad. One of my doctors told me it doesn’t matter where you choose to go to school to become a doctor longs you achieve your dream.
This is inspiring. I am going back to college at age 49 after being an automotive technician for 30 years (I was also born without my right hand, but that's a whole other bucket of fish). I am currently certified as an ASE master technician and work as an independent mechanical breakdown inspector. I put my wife, 8 years my junior, through her doctorate degree and she is now a professor. Now I find myself staring down the barrel at the opportunity to pursue my MBA. I am still learning at 41 as well as teaching piano for many years now. I am going to become a Concert Pianist and perform my Compositions. You can become a Song Writer. You are not too old. Work hard and you can make it! Find a good Songwriting Teacher. You don't have to go to college for music to study songwriting. I probably won't go back to college. I realized I am learning everything I need to learn, with my 3 Teachers I have now, to achieve my dreams.

As a sister of a doctor, i have witnessed the hardship she underwent to be where she is now. The med school is tough enough. I remember that she would spend sleepless nights studying. The most difficul job is becoming an intern or a resident doctor where they she also endured sleepless nights working at a hospital. If your body can still adapt to that lifestyle, then you can be a doctor no matter what your age is

As a sister of a doctor, i have witnessed the hardship she underwent to be where she is now. The med school is tough enough. I remember that she would spend sleepless nights studying. The most difficul job is becoming an intern or a resident doctor where they she also endured sleepless nights working at a hospital. If your body can still adapt to that lifestyle, then you can be a doctor no matter what your age is
