    I would love to be able to surround myself with actual people, not just walls. I am so lonely. And I think most people feel this way. In Slovakia, we can't even go out.

    It’s so difficult to find someone to date that has those same values as me anymore. Like with ghosting. I don’t understand it at all. I was talking to this guy for the last month and he disappeared on me twice, and I’m the type of person to speak and ask why they disappeared? And he said that I mentioned something about myself that reminded him too much of his ex, and it made him emotionally shut down and he didn’t know what to say. I said well if you have an issue with something I said, why wouldn’t you just tell me? Rather than to just leave me guessing and wondering what the heck happened when I thought everything was going great? And he apologized but still ended us talking.
    But it is a value difference that my way to communicate with people is to ACTUALLY communicate and not just ghost people. And there’s people who write to me on dating sites and I very politely tell them why I’m saying no to them from things from their profile. And they are so extremely thankful that someone wrote them back at all. Like one guy wrote to me and I said, it doesn’t look like we’re looking for the same things because you put in your profile that you don’t want children and I do. And he was so polite and grateful that I was honest and explained why I was saying no instead of just opening the message and saying nothing.

    • @AshleyNord
      @AshleyNord  3 роки тому +2

      I couldn’t possibly love or resonate with this comment more! I am exactly the same. I have never, ever understood ghosting or how/why people can feel okay doing it. I recognise on an intellectual level that people don’t “owe” us their time or explanations, but from a purely compassionate/respect level, I don’t understand why people wouldn’t be willing to take a minute or so to explain.
      As I explained in this video, that type of transparency is EVERYTHING to me. And I promise there are people out there who value it too (my fiancé is the same). But they can be hard to find unfortunately! But that is certainly not a value you should have to compromise on.

    Second, a moment I also particularly appreciate is the unexpected way your fluffy cat sneaks and chills in the background every now and then. I always get excited to see the kitty and I'm hoping you could share his/her name? Please?

    Hey nice to see your face again ✨
    Sending you lots of love and support.
    In regards of the topic you pointed out, damn.. This list will bring up so many demons and hidden situations we swallowed for so looong. But i think it's better to be done, cause it's a really intriguing thing to do.
    Thanks for sharing it. It helps to understand ourselves, which is the most important thing ever that we don't pay so much attention to.
    We focus our lives on others so we lose us so often, not knowing how to get back to whatever we thought we ever been. But I also think some Core Values can change over time.
    Everything changes. Some, stays, some go. Isn't it.
    Thanks again for doing this video, is really appreciated ❤️❤️❤️

      Amazing to hear your thoughts and insights! You’re always so introspective. I certainly agree regarding certain core values perhaps changing over time. However, generally speaking, I feel like core values are usually fairly enduring. However certain ones may become less important over time while others may take over and vice versa 😊

So do you believe texting flirting is considered cheating for me yes, my current bf who I dumped days ago denies doing it and I saw it, looking for all ways to reach me through his friends, do you think I can find it in myself to trust him again or should I just let it go ?

      I’m so happy to hear that you find my videos meaningful! This is such amazing feedback to hear ❤️ that’s all I could ever hope for when creating my content!
      I have been considering covering this topic for a while now, but have been very cautious about it simply because it’s something I don’t have experience with given that I’m not a parent. So I am waiting until I feel I have gathered enough information from those who do have kids and are navigating coparenting until I cover this one ❤️ I recognize that it’s very complex and often has many layers, and I don’t want to speak out of turn!

    Hey! Help me out please. My ex wants to stay friends with me but she is dating someone else and I haven't completely moved on from her. I still have feelings for her. So what should I do? Is being friends with her a good idea or keeping no contact would be a good idea?

    • @AshleyNord
      @AshleyNord  3 роки тому

      Thanks for reaching out! To me, it sounds like you already know the answer to your own question here. You’ve clearly articulated that you are aware you have not moved on from her and that there is still unresolved emotions there for you. So in my opinion, I don’t see any benefit in having a friendship with your ex at this point - I think it would cause unnecessary pain for you.
