FXDLS Brooklyn my duuude! Yes couldn’t agree! I was surprised how much I actually use these day to day. Makes riding much more convenient should I need to pick up groceries, pack some stuff for a trip.

Thrashin essentials ATM. Perfect amount of space for what I need using my bike to commute and I have a top hand ventures sissy bar I can add more luggage to when needed

Supercracker oh really!? Were they water resistant or nowhere near any water prevention? Leatherpros were super solid! Loved the room they offered
ConnorFXDB I wouldn’t even call them water resistant it didn’t take much rain and they would be soaked inside.. my gloves and other cloth items I keep in my bags would get mildew . I love the leather pros they are a huge improvement and offer so much space. I’ve since removed the sissy bar as I no longer need it. Will probably get a quick detach one in the future for when I really need to load the bike down
@@jeremylong6229 ouch! Def a bummer! The few times I was caught in heavy rain with my bags they faired out pretty good with no water issues.
Quick detach would be nice! I wish taller sissy bars offered the quick detach but most tend to be hard mounted only.
I run the Harley leather bags on mine but they are not quick detach like yours. Pretty sweet setup.
Carhauler 38 the hard leather ones? The quick detach was the main selling point but it’s funny cuz I hardly ever NOT run them 😂 they’re so convenient to store stuff
ConnorFXDB yup, yup. Hard leather ones. I’ve only taken them off once so far. Just not worth the hassle to me. Quick detach is where it’s at. Oh well, maybe have to get some! Ride safe bro!

iRocker_ C thanks brutha! I hear ya. You could look into custom bags. A fella here in San Antonio made some frames to fit pelican bags for a buddy and his new soft tail similar to the big als hard bags.

Steel Horse Country bags held up great! Loved the room they had!! And the quick detach was an extremely nice feature!!

I def truly enjoy these bags! Make my commuting around town so much more enjoyable being able to pack some drinks etc.
I have basani RR3 pipe and wondering if this would be a problem as far as getting to heat up at tip of exhaust
paul son I don’t think you would have an issue. The newest versions (leather pros v2) have a better heat shield at the bottom of the bags.
The only exhaust I’ve seen create an issue for the bags was the tbr where the heat from the exhaust hits the bags pretty direct
They don't fit the honda shadow but I'm thinking of rigging something up to make them fit

have you ran these through any showers? i prefer the ballistic versions look but there isnt mention on the website as far as how they hold up in rain
yes! Ive been caught in a few rain shower with these but never for looooong periods of time. at best perhaps 10-20 min. They held up good!
I can see them def letting some water in if youre in heavy downpour for similar time or longer, but theyre def a solid investment esp with the quick detach and their expandable feature. Makes for great bags!

Hey wayne! Yes it is fairly new. I made the swap december of 2017. I never did a video on it aside from an exhaust run of how it sounds. I am doing a review video on it soon and plan to have it up in the next few weeks. It does have heat shields

The sissy bar is the tall boy sissy bar from tophand ventures - they are based out of Houston, TX. I truly enjoy it and when paired with the leatherpros and biltwell exfil 80 bag there’s tons of luggage packing space

How is the removal? Are you running something like the alloy art ez bag mounts as well?
Insomniadtd I went with the gloss black. I was torn between the flat and gloss also but decided to go with gloss black. I just liked the overall finish of the gloss and it doesn’t clash with the bike
Insomniadtd unfortunately with the tophand ventures sissy bar it’s a hardmount and it’s on there unless you remove the bolts holding it.
The bags come with three diff bolts sizes depending on what type sissy bar setup you run (removable, hard mount/permanent)

does anyone know if harleys p&a quick detach sissy bar will mount onto the mounts for these bags.
Jeremy Stevenson it will. The bags come with 2 diff sets of bolts/connectors. One to include if you want to run with quick detach sissy bar setup or without and includes longer bolt etc!
have you personally ran the hd sissy bar with LP bags on?
Jeremy Stevenson I have not cuz my sissy bar was hard mounted. I ran the longer bolts but never the quick detach hardware that came with it. It’s lists it in the paperwork what the other hardware is for and to be used with HD quick detach sissy bar

what about turn signals do i have to relocate them?
I believe so -- believe with bullet style turn signals they will not work with the leatherpros. I had the custom dynamics LP integrated turn signal so it was not an issue and removed the bullet style signals before picking up the leatherpros!

How are they in the rain are they somewhat warerproof?
hey jeremy! Yes there was a couple times I was caught in a downpour! They handled the rain extremely well! I wouldnt say they are waterproof, but most definitely highly water resistant!

yes these are the V2 version of their bags. I do believe they have recently since released a V3 with a few small upgrades from the previous
are they waterproof??
Howdy Frank! No they are not. But they do sell a rain cover you can add to these to help with the rain. At best these are water resistant but in heavy downpours water will def seep through
