Can't believe this album is turning 15 already... They were so ahead of their time that this still sounds fresh today! Never get tired of their first two albums!
One of, if not the most criminally underrated metal band especially due to its djent influence. Mnemic was wayyyyy ahead of their time. Jammed this shit in freshman year in high school in 2009. Shit still slaps to this day.
@@ВсадникАпокалипсиса-я9е Meshuggah boi, calm down. There was A LOT of bands with "djenty sound" those days even but almost nothing like Meshuggah overall. So stop bitching about "meeeh meshuggah invented jOnt everyone else is a plagiarists!1!". Messugah is a great band though.
Why doesnt anybody mention Mnemic when it comes to discussions about Djent? They were doing this kind of shit and better than almost all of the bands utilizing this sound now a days.
+Tyler Blanchard Well, just the first album was any good. The later albums were just run-of-the-mill uninspired stuff compared to Mechanical Spin Phenomena.
The Audio Injected Soul is great, and Passenger's instrumentation is excellent, although is dragged down by the sometimes subpar vocals of Guillaume Bideau. Otherwise it would've been a killer album. Mnemic is underrated, period.
Way late to the party, but the final lineup of the band actually hated that they were being labeled as 'djent'. I remember reading it their facebook, the post is still up if anyone wants to check it out.
Underrated? Never made it big? They were picked by Metallica to start them off back in the day. The only reason they went down was because of the style change doing album 3
I heard this song from the alone in the dark soundtrack. So I went out and bought the first album and was blown away. Then got the audio injected soul and got so many speeding tickets to that lol..miss Michael's vocals.
I just recently saw the film Pandorum and the whole time I had Mnemic playing in my head and I'll tell you what, their music with that film would be amazing.
Keep an eye on them this year friends. They have been slowly teasing something has been brewing, last year, on their Instagram stories. They literally started teasing again as the new year started and with the Roman numeral for 24. I am just beyond stoked to see what is to come. Also, it looks like everyone from the AIS era. :)
why people keep comparing mnemic to SYL really? I get it, both industrial, but besides the samplers this is pure meshuggah/fear factory worship, centered on the groove, I have the album and I just fail to see anything resembling the bombastic walls of sound, the thrashier speed parts SYL has or its sheer insanity, what I do hear however is the odd rhytms of meshuggah and the machinegun-like riffs and soundscape samplers fear factory has. Anyway, their first record is one helluva trip, more people should listen to it.
Beast of a album. Heavy as graphite yet with a polished mechanical sheen that illustrates how nasty the engineer is. Release this type of band today with more focused marketing and strong tour support and they'd be huge
Thought it was RZ while driving out middle of nowhere on some radio hard rock station. Could not find the song until coming across the Alone in the Dark soundtrack… 🤘🏽F Yeah!
thats awesome that there is a video of them playing this song in china on their website. i guess music really does transcend all races and ethnicity's.
+Vicente Guerrero What you can hear the most on their first record is strong Fear Factory influence, which is not bad thing at all... This album is one of the best modern metal albums in my opinion...
Vicente Guerrero the games are classics and the origins of survival horror, even so trust me when I say even if you did play them it doesn’t make that movie any better.
@SkeksisBestSongEver So true, Mnemics voice is actually Mikes. Such a unique singer, screamer and frontman. But, i guess we wont see him in Mnemic anymore! R.I.P The true, good and unique Mnemic.
cool song. i never heard about them, but with those related videos you will find something that might be awesome. this is one of those songs:P and you're right about rob zombie. it's practicly the same as RZ!

if Mnemic returns in 2017 with Michael Bøgballe on the mic, this band would really have another chance. Metal became so whimsical today. Not fond of this commercial shit.
I think he's got potential, and i think they're new album is better than passenger. But he just doesn't seem to have the versatility in his voice that the old singer had. If that makes sense?

no, they werent ahead. they borrowed Meshuggah djent style, Meshuggah were trail blazers

ну какие команды можешь привести с этим звучанием в начале 90х? разве что Fear Factory, но там тоже немного не то@@grin_oleg
They pre-existed Djent. These guys were inspired by Meshuggah, but their music was every bit as original as Meshuggah’s. No one sounds like Mnemic.
Mnemic sounds like Fear Factory, they are not original. FF was original @@josephfernandez4674

@tylerblanchard8290 because djent was invented by Meshuggah long before mnemic
Totally underrated band...

I love this Band, Fear factory meets Meshuggah
Yep, and Rob Zombie, too.
2019 I can assure the introduction riff is the most cyberpunkAF stuff at date ! period lml
God I love this song, miss skating in nyc blasting this the early 2000s
This gets the blood pumping in all cylinders.
I just recently saw the film Pandorum and the whole time I had Mnemic playing in my head and I'll tell you what, their music with that film would be amazing.
vocally I think at certain points he sounds like Rob Zombie mainly in the beginning
I thought it was for the longest time!
Also has an Alice in Chains clean vocal vibe. Love this band
I thought that too,
That drum fill at 2:52 🥰 It fits so well! Awesome drummer!
Prime Mnemic right here. Still spinning this in 2021.

Mnemic Rules!!! lastima que Wolverine dejo la banda, en ese momento murio Mnemic :(!!!
Had this song randomly stuck in my head yesterday, can't believe it's almost a throwback
This brings back so many memories. It was the first song i ever heard from mnemic. The next day i went to the record store and bought it.
This is still sooooo good!

I discovered this band on the alone in the dark dvd bonus features.
love mnemic! i learn that song and band from the godawful movie alone in the dark. I guess that is a good reason to be happy for the movie. They rock!

Guys the migthy Michael IS BACK! just check his work in the band Scamp
Anyone else kinda feel a rob zombie vibe to this song?

#Zangado
@TheShadowWish Yea. To notice how many mentioning him, and mainly in a not-so-positive way. It's very satisfying.
This is the 1st song i've heard from these guys and I think it's bad to the f'n bone!
