    Had a first issue 3 weeks ago where the mechanic fixed it by hitting the bottom of the car. And a few days ago my friend was hitting it to get it running. Never had any trouble codes and I checked today there was P01670 pending. Thanks for your video and post.

    great advice; my 1750 TBi Sportswagon ha exactly the same leak as shown here. And a new pump for a Tbi is £480 in the UK, So I'm going to do this repair. Thanks to 'Serpent Crown'

      @@areka6562 You want me to search for VAG part number for these clips? A month ago I installed them on my 159 and they work perfect, and best part, they are 3$ for pair, instead for 25$ OEM Alfa's, which are hard to find anyway...

    I got this exact problem on a 2010 Spider… not so easy to access!
    I order a new pump for low price but the gasket is not available.
    I will try JB Weld like you did here… it’s an epoxy glue/filler.
    Thanks!!

    I tried soldering plastic but it only lasted for 3 months. I ended up having to buy a new pump from Hungary for a little less than 400,-€. I haven't had any problems since then. I learned that you shouldn't experiment with the fuel pump or you'll end up in a mess.

    Servus, wie bist du denn auf den Riss gekommen? Hat das Auto irgend eine Meldung ausgespuckt oder hast du aus Neugier die Rücksitzbank ausgebaut? Kann das auch beim 1.9 jtdm vorkommen oder TBi spezifisch? Gruß aus Österreich

    as we talked, you did an external repair using silica or glass beads, it would be better at least to use a Dremel tool to open the crack up for repair nonetheless since failure there is a fire hazard I would advise against doing that!

    • @serpentcrown
      @serpentcrown  3 місяці тому

      How exactly you think there is a fire hazard ?

    • @serpentcrown
      @serpentcrown  3 місяці тому

      It is a polymer cyanacrylat and not silicia or glass
