    My mother sang in the choir in her university days while studying vocal performance. She said the boy playing the drum was told put his whole body weight into smacking that drum. She could feel her teeth shaking.

      well posted axissia, mozart's requiem is badly written,mainly focused on counterpoint harmonies having no soul spirit and being easy listening due to the taste of the time he lived in ( which is mozart's music is all about , a massive production of nice jingles and the reason why critics until XX cent didn't rank him so high). Verdi's requiem is the most powerful,solemn,spiritual and beautiful ever written and no comparison with anyone else's work can be made.

      It would be the most appropriate background music for video of the Nazi invasion of Poland, a profoundly Catholic country about to endure the worst horrors that any country endured before Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge.
      It is telling that the Nazis really hated this piece of music even if it wasn't a "Jewish" work.

    • @timhart8737
      @timhart8737 6 років тому +35

      'to endure the worst horrors that any country endured before Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge'
      A very bold claim.
      To imply the Nazi's committed the worst atrocities in all history combined before Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge, is ignorance at best and an acceptance of propaganda at worst.
      Reminder that the Mongols alone killed 40,000,000 as a result of their conquests.
      Stalin killed upwards of 23,000,000.
      Genocide was a frequent occurrence in the world, albeit not with much efficiency which made the Holocaust so abrupt and horrific. Regardless, before the 19th - 20th Century, Genocide was virtually commonplace amongst all peoples of the world; Africans, Europeans, Asians & Americans.
      It was the indirect result of tribalism.
      The Nazis were not unique in this matter. They were the only ones punished for it.

    氣場震撼,大鼓和小號的加入讓曲子有更急促、緊張的氣氛,最後的結尾又將全曲氣氛收斂,有很好的起承轉合安排

      ribalto il punto di vista; questa è opera intera dell'uomo, che sovente commette nefandezza in nome di un dio geloso.

      No,era la risposta a chi vorrebbe far passare le opere eccelse dell'ingegno umano come derivanti da inesistenti fonti divine, mentre invece sono proprio i sostenitori della divinità a causare il più delle volte le nefandezze maggiori.
