Didn't have a clue how to search for this song. Tried to kinda 'sing' and hum it to shazam, but shazam was just laughing at my very dissapointing attempts😂. Thank god we have algorithms in 2024 and finally found this masterpiece when I did not expect it! Don't know exactly what it is in this song that attracts me, but it gives me some pleasant shivers. Thanks for this performance and I love how many people are enjoying this!

    egestatem, (poverty)
    potestatem (and power)
dissolvit ut glaciem. (it melts them like ice.)
    Sors immanis (Fate - monstrous)
    et inanis, (and empty)
rota tu volubilis, (you whirling wheel)
    status malus, (you are malevolent)
    vana salus (well-being is vain)
semper dissolubilis, (and always fades to nothing)
    obumbrata (shadowed)
    et velata (and veiled)
mihi quoque niteris; (you plague me too;)
nunc per ludum (now through the game)
dorsum nudum (I bring my bare back)
fero tui sceleris. (to your villainy.)
Sors salutis (Fate is against me)
    et virtutis (in health)
    michi nunc contraria, (and virtue)
    est affectus (driven on)
    et defectus (and weighted down)
    semper in angaria. (always enslaved.)
Hac in hora (So at this hour)
    sine mora (without delay)
corde pulsum tangite; (pluck the vibrating strings;)
    quod per sortem (since Fate)
sternit fortem, (strikes down the strong)
mecum omnes plangite! (everyone weep with me!)

Fun fact: This song was written by the famed Roman scholar Severinus Boethius. He was falsely imprisoned and executed for allegations of conspiracy against the king. He wrote this piece whilst awaiting a terrible death, literally complaining to Fortuna, the god of fortune, about how unfair she is and how bad one's fate can be under her influence.

Well, technically the poems of Carmina Burana was inspired by Boethius' Consolation of Philosophy, though he did not write them.
