After myself and others continue having unequal volume problems on the saddle pickup, I now recommend people just use the MultiOud strings Godin sells for this instrument as the saddle is probably designed for the optimal tension.

I want to find a way to make electric oud sound deeper, not so sharp and Turkish-type of sound. Thank you in advance if you could give me some ideas. Some of them i've seen in your video. Surely I'll buy your DVD or whatever it is, where you explain how to make certain types of sound. @@kowki you are most welcome. To be honest, it is quite impossible to get the sound you are looking for. Most people are disappointed after they get the multioud. Neither the ambiance or encore are any different in terms of being able to get a darker sound. Ultimately I think it is possible to get an adequate oud sound out of the multioud but if you're looking for a sound from what you hear in acoustic ouds then you are looking in the wrong place. It's just a warning because I've heard this from so many people.
You can use this oud without electricity, I want to hear it without electricity because I want to buy it like it, but it is hesitant and I sometimes use the oud without electricity, and is there better than this oud in the case of not using electricity, thank you very much
hello henry you tune it like in my country sudan i am not sure if there is another country tune the first string as mi. what i am sure that they tune it as sol(deep) and the other sol is the sharp one.

I recently switched from encore to ambiance and since everytime i try to record a play i get air noise or not clear sound unlike my other guitar using the same mixer, cables and channel. Any idea what could be wrong? I tried to reset the equalizer, use different amp, connect directly to a mixer switching between pickup and image and all the same. Please advise as it seems you are expert with this oud. Many thanks
I don't endorse the multioud at all. I never really enjoyed electric ouds and still don't. Maybe I should take these multioud videos down, people keep getting the wrong idea, lol.
I was using a Fishman Loudbox mini. Definitely recommend an amplifier specifically for use with acoustic instruments when using the multiOud. But it's not necessary, you just might get a better sound.

The ambiance has more sound options and higher priced woods as far as I know. The Encore has a simpler interface for equalizing the sound.

I'm trying to get ambiance but it discontinue and they are making only encore!!! Not sure now

Encore is good. Just go for it. It's easier to use than the ambience

I'm definitely not an expert. You need to take this to a guitar repair shop and show them the problem.

Hey Navid, just wanted to know how you can play microtonal music on a fretted instrument?
you have to add frets in between the semi-tones. or bend the notes. there are also other ways, but fretless is best.

@@saruman4935 You eed to restring it for CFADgc. I recommend using the same strings but removing the high ff course, and buying a singe C low string.
