You're welcome :)
Very Nice video Mr. Gwin it helps me a lot, it is clear and simple as I was expecting for. You got a new subscriber.
Thank you! Glad I could help you!
This is a great video. Although I have done some its always good to know what else can be done. Interested to hear how would handle the headline summary when trying to change career or starting a business where you have the skills but your main experience is in another discipline and you are trying to transfer those skills and abilities.
Thanks Josh. Really helpful. I'll do the five things and see how that goes.
Thanks Elaine! Let me know how it works out.
Fantastic tips!
Thanks Josh, this was very helpful. I see I have some work to do!
Thank you Eve! Glad you found it helpful. Best of luck and let me know how i can help :)
Great Josh, i will remake my profile and send a connection to you!
Thanks Josh. This is great info.
You're welcome Keidra!
Thank you for this helpful video! Question, i just finished an internship a month ago and i am curretnly looking for a job. what should i put as a headline ? it currently says nothing, should i leave it this way ?
Think about what you managed during your internship and who that would be a benefit to and the phrase it something like "Digital Marketing specialist helping businesses profit from online advertising." You'll obviously need to adjust it for your particular skill set. Does that make sense?
@Josh Gwin hey im thinking about career change.. do you think i should add my experience in the prior industry to my linkedin profile? thinking about shifting from IT support into Finance. thanks!
Absolutely Gema! The IT experience can probably open a lot of doors in Finance. Good luck!
thanks Josh.. do you have any references of someone shifting career linkedin profile? or specific video talking about that? thanks good luck
Thanks for the info. I am about to get my account in order.
Thanks Chris!
I have a doubt and was wondering if you could help me with it. I volunteer at an educational studio and I was wondering if can add that to my headline?
Absolutely I'd add it. Great question!
Thank you for the information. I have immediately implemented it. :)
Awesome! Let me know how it works.
I'm getting more views and requests daily
This is an excellent video THANK YOU
Thanks Missy! Glad it helped!
This is Great.
This is great video Josh!!! Thank you for sharing and I look forward to more videos.
I would love to connect with you via Linkedin
Thanks bud! Please send me a connection on LI. Cheers!
Hi Josh, Thanks for the great information.
I just added a new email account I want to use on LinkedIn. Just created the email, and wondering if I can use the tool you mentioned in the email?
No one is connected to that email, and will that matter?
You should be able to Camille. Let me know if you can't. Thanks!
Nice video, watched all of it.
Thanks for the feedback Luxus.
Thank you so much for sharing the ideas man :)
You got it bud! Thank you for commenting!
A great help. Thankyou!
You're welcome! Thank you!
Hello Josh, Great help! Thank you very much. I will reach out to you to connect on Linkedin.
This video is better than the 10 minute one I found - thank you Josh! But the link is not working-
Did you get the free course bud?
Thanks for the video, it was helpful. And as you said I'd like to connect with you on LinkedIn, but seems like I can't do that if I don't know your email.
Great video! I am in the process of revamping my LinkedIn profile. I am a highly experienced professional in IT, currently pursuing Master Degree in Data Science with a well-known university. How, can I put this info in my headline so that I will not be looked at as a novice?
Great question. What about a LinkedIn headline that reads something like "Data Science Professional with 5 years of managing IT projects." Or something like that. You can always add the Master's Degree once you finish. Hope that helps.
hello josh , my linkedin is showing this , "Attention screen reader users, you are in a mobile optimized view and content may not appear where you expect it to be. To return the screen to its desktop view, please maximize your browser." , i really dont konw what to do plz help me
Good post. I've followed the advise.
Quick question: If I hold a masters of arts degree, is it appropriate to write " , MA" after my name, like you have MBA? Thanks.
Thanks Zack! I think you should buddy. It can only help you for people to know you have an advanced degree. It shows discipline and consistent effort, all things that clients and employers want to see. Hope that helps.
Thankyou
thank you
Hey Josh, I just joined Linkedin last week, so I am very new to how it works. My reason for joining is to try and find a job shadowing/internship opportunity for a medical career I want to get into (Cardiac Perfusion). Should I add information about past work experience even if it has nothing to do with my future career aspirations e.g. I worked at a Christmas tree farm during high school for four summers and some other odd jobs mostly physical labor oriented. I highly doubt a Cardiac Perfusionist is going to find a lot of value in high school jobs, but do you think it is a good idea to add it just in case or leave that section blank? I have a lot of academic achievements and volunteering experience that I already included in other parts of my profile, so I am not sure whether or not to add my high school work experience (I just graduated last May). Let me know what you think, and thanks for the Linkedin knowledge.
Great question Caleb! I'd leave the Christmas tree farm section off, only because it's not really relevant to the Cardiac Perfusion experience. But I'd add everything that is relatable to that. Hope that helps bud. Thanks for the question!
Okay I thought the same thing. Also do you think you could take just a real quick look at my profile and tell me if you think it looks alright. If you have anything you think I should change or add I would greatly appreciate your advice. Really my only objective is to find some Perfusionists, so my profile doesn't need to appeal to anybody else in particular. I will send you an invite on Linkedin. Thank you so much for your time and expertise!
i need to add linked in profile , i have no clue since i am recent graduate of 2017 in the field of mining engineering. and am from the developing country ethiopia . please help me get a miningt related job.

الاجبيه المقدسه
Too much talk - few substance!
This video can be condensed into 3 minute video to be more valuable.
Thanks for the feedback. I've gotten lots of responses from people who love the video. I think 3 minutes would be a little short for a LinkedIn tutorial for beginners.
Probably 3 minutes is too short - I agree. I mean to exclude that lengthy introductions that actually provide no value. As you know time is most precious resource.
