They never get the love from Warner Brothers they deserve. It’s a shame, because I honestly think they could get a lot of comedy out of the OG Looney Tunes and the Warner Siblings interacting.
I’m pretty sure you could even see them in the background of the match but it sucks they didn’t get a line.
They even appeared in it so they don't have the excuse of not being there, I demand that Wanner Bros makes some shorts in the DVD version of the movie that centers around Marvin meeting them.

I would love to see a director like Edgar Wright make a sequel to maybe get some action and pacing for the live action parts match up with the characters. At least it wasn’t 2 hours like Space Jam: Legacy.

“Terrible but fun” is exactly the way space jam 2. It’s so bad that it’s fun, and i found myself liking some scenes, but the movie still had way to many outdated jokes.
To be fair the first movie had it's fair share of updated jokes too

Hardly. Films for kids like the Incredibles can be entertaining for adults without lobbing nostalgia eye-candy in an audiences face.
Which is the purpose of those IP's appearing in this film. When a kid or adult sees 'character/thing they know' they can get all excited thinking "omg (Example):is in this movie! I KNOW WHO THAT ISSSS".
They literally serve no other purpose, unless I'm missing something and their appearances in the film have value and purpose to the overall story beyond nostalgia bait.

@@justflex6745 there wasn't really a lot of flex, at least not outside the Looney Tunes universe. The only thing I could mention is the Shaggy & Scooby cameo, where they insult the actor that plaued shaggy in the live action
I feel like the Rick and Morty cameo although cool and unexpected was still forced and out of place. If the real Rick was really in Space Jam he would’ve said something like “We’re a cheap cameo in a terrible Cash Grab movie that Warner Brothers made to flex how many properties they own.” Every cameo and sponsorship Rick is in he directly admits and calls out how they are selling out, but in this one he said nothing... it just didn’t feel like Rick, and that’s because a bunch of soulless executives decided to shoehorn him as just another character they own without truly understanding a lot of the characters they put in.

The movie overall isn’t as bad as everyone says it is. Just go in there with low expectations and you’ll actually enjoy it. The movie isn’t good but it’s pretty much mid honestly. The original wasn’t good either but that film had somewhat heart put into it. For this film it seemed like they focused more on the visuals rather than the plot which was the movie’s downfall

The original Space Jam was also a commercial, not just for basketball and The Looney Tunes, but for other brands, like McDonalds, Nike and Gatorade. But at the very least, they tried to focus on the simple premise.

Well yes, I think that's true in some cases, but I think that actually makes the movie better in some ways. At halftime, all the Tunes admit they've been trying to be just like LeBron. And then they DO become the Looney Tunes, using their personalities and abilities to their advantage instead of just playing a boring game of basketball. That's why I think that's actually better in the case of this movie.

RBtI felt like a cold, silent "fuck you" when we expected a genuinely good sequel to the original that included a Mario cameo, that turned out to be a corporate cashgrab.
Space Jam 2 REALLY failed to understand what made the first one special with that "VIDYA GAMES BAD" opening, but I went into this movie with little-to-no expectations for it, and got what I expected. Animation, especially of the 3D Looney Tunes, was actually really good, though. Still corporate though lol
SJ2 was definitely better, though.

The title perfectly describes my feelings on the movie. It’s stupid, of course it’s stupid. It’s the looney tunes playing basketball. I didn’t expect this to be a masterpiece but I love it anyway because it’s so fun to watch where stuff just happens

IMO cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 wasn’t that bad. Then again it’s been a long time since I’ve watched it and I don’t remember much.
one thing that stood out to me was the character design on the enemy team felt weirdly deviantart fetish-y. the male characters were like 'just a normal dude, but he has wings' or 'just a normal dude, but he's made out of water' while the female characters were so deformed but still kept their titties and hips and makeup

@@DavidSartor0 Taking a shot in the dark here but it's either a statement on Don Cheadle due to some controversy I am completely unaware of, or a statement on the fact that manipulation is by its very nature a removal of someone's agency through whatever means, so declaring that someone "let" themselves be manipulated is putting the burden and fault on the victim rather than the manipulator, a form of victim-blaming not unlike that which is used to shame people that are stuck in abusive relationships or some nastier legit crimes because they were dressed a certain way.
Granted, this is me reading too much into a youtube comment and pushing my own views on the topic when it could just be referring to some big Don Cheadle conspiracy theory, perhaps linked to the Don Cheadle Lore that was hinted at. Truth is, perhaps Don Cheadle wrote the original comment in order to stir up some shit on the internet just to further his own dark, twisted goals. All along, he sought to divide us, to fuel the flame wars, to keep pitting youtube commenters against one another. Every night, he sits in front of his computer, looks upon his works, and smirks. He reminisces about high school. His junior year. That jerk on the debate team, the one who publicly humiliated him by thoroughly schooling him in Philosophy class when the teacher had them argue on the nature of man. That jerk who convinced everyone that people are inherently good. That brother will help brother in their time of need, that no one is needlessly thoughtless or cruel. Was he blind to his own cruelty, serving Don Cheadle the first failure of many in his life? Did he not see that for one to rise, another must fall?

Tbh I thought it was a good attempts that really only slips with less directly cartoonish characters like granny. Nothing was off model and the body language still matched up to the original animations
I think the biggest difference between Space Jam and Space 2 is that the first Space Jam didnt try to be something it wasent, it was just silly funthat knew was stupid and didnt try to be more than stupid fun. Jam Space 2 tries to be an emotional masterpiece about the relationship betwean a dad and his son and also be silly fun, and just makes the silly fun less fun and silly and completely faild in the emotional part
Ironically Space Jam 1 had the same message with Michael Jordan realising basketball is his truecalling than trying trying to pursue his father's legacy and works a lot better

I love Space Jam, Back in Action, and everything Looney Tunes. I sent my bar low and I got to say, I was so happy with what I saw, I was audibly laughing multiple times. I saw this in theaters on purpose. The 2D animation was phenomenal and the 3D was not as bad as I thought it would be. Overall I’m glad I saw it and this was a great review.

I just watched this yesterday with my mom. My dad walks downstairs right when Lebron meets Bugs. The first thing he says is, "That acting is worse than the original, and he's in cartoon form."
I love it how this movie gave Gossamer a bit more recognition despite being a very underrated Looney Tunes character

just watched the movie today and it's honestly just stupid fun. kinda wished i could've seen more of the goon squad rather than just in the game, they've got cool designs and i would've loved to see more of their characters

Kung Fu Panda 3 is the best in the franchise. In Kung Fu Panda 2 (the favorite of most people), Lord Shen attacked the panda village, but there was nobody to save them. In Kung Fu Panda 3, Kai attacks the village and Po has to save them. You cannot say that's not the most genius idea for a third installment of this franchise. One thing that people hate about this movie was the “disappointing” villain defeat. But I don’t think people exactly understand it. Po had the chi of all the pandas and his own chi. Kai usually takes the masters’ bodies along with the chi, but he didn’t when Po gave his chi to Kai. That’s why it was too much. He took the chi of a whole village pandas and a “Kung Fu Panda” at a time without their physical forms. Instead of carrying around more chi amulets, he got loaded with the chi of all those pandas. It makes sense, people overthink it. Also, at the beginning, Oogway told Kai "The more you take, the less you have." Then what happens? Kai dies from taking too much. Also, Po was taught kung fu with food. Then he taught the village of pandas with their talents. The whole "turn you into you" thing wasn't a callback to the beginning of the movie, it was a callback to the beginning of the franchise. The first Kung Fu Panda. Most people like Shen the most, but General Kai is the best villain in my opinion. He may not have been intimidating, but he had really great villain lines. When Shifu said "Oogway, forgive me." Kai held up the chi of Oogway and said "What do you say, Oogway? Do you forgive him?" Also, his music was obviously the best villain music in existence. Not to mention his weapon, fight style, or entrances. Also, the first two villains were chased by Po and the Furious Five. But Kai would find Po and the others no matter where they went. Po even said “There’s nowhere to run.” Kai felt very unstoppable, which was just as good as being intimidating. Another thing I like about Kai is that he was the only villain that never underestimated Po. When Tai Lung met Po and found out he’s the Dragon Warrior, he said “You? Him? He’s a panda. You’re a panda. What are you going to do, big guy? Sit on me?” When Lord Shen met Po, he asked Soothsayer “Do you actually believe this is the warrior destined to defeat me?” But when General Kai met Po, he said “You must be the Dragon Warrior.” I don't even need to talk about comedy or animation in this movie. Everyone already agrees that comedy, and animation in Kung Fu Panda 3 is better than in first two movies. A lot of people complain that the Furious Five didn't do much but I think I need to remind people that this movie is in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Not "The Adventures of the Furious Five" franchise. I was happy seeing the Furious Five get a lot of spotlight it Kung Fu Panda 2, the movie wouldn’t be half as great without that. But I am extremely happy that they didn’t do the same thing for Kung Fu Panda 3. But I don't get how people think this is the worst or second best in the franchise. I think it's better than Kung Fu Panda 1 and 2 combined.
