This tour is really useful, especially because of the outbreak happening right now. Thank you for making it!!!
USF is actually pretty huge. There are 3 hospitals on campus, a whole bank, and many outpatient centers. I went there for undergrad and Nursing school. What Carlos showed you was a little glance of USF as a whole. It is in the top 15 largest Universities nationwide. I had a great experience as a student. I recommend it to everyone. Also, there is news that black students who went there did pretty well compared to any other Universities nationwide including HBCUs.

What gpa is required to get in?

Thanks Carlos. I graduated USF in 1996. Since then I have been an educator and had the honor of being elected to the Texas State Board of Education. I think of USF often and really appreciated seeing it again on your video.
i got into usf for fall which im really excited about im still torn on my decision until i can actually go on the tour (jan 6th... everything else was full :/) but this helped me see a bit of the campus it’s beautiful! im most likely choosing usf im so excited!

@BRIANNA Harvey as long as you have 3.5+ GPA and 1160+ SAT (idk the ACT equivalent) you should be fine
@BRIANNA Harvey Your GPA is on the lower side, however, if you apply for Summer semester you should be able to get in easily especially since you SAT score is fairly good.

@@afurrydodo5965 Yes that's actually pretty good for USF. USF takes into account your weighted GPA more than your unweighted. I got in with a 3.8 and a 1260 SAT for fall. I know people who got into summer with a 3.5 and 1170 SAT. If your GPA and score is anywhere in that ball park or higher, you shouldn't worry

If you are willing, I would really love if you could just show us the outside+ inside of a specific building for each video and make it like a little series... if it is possible. I am a lot more interested in just the engineering/ architecture building but why not do it all lol.
I wish u could make tour mainly focused on BSN - Business (both underground and new extension building) and ISA -Interdisciplinary Sciences building ? like showing the entrances of building and facades and rooms to understand plan. I would really appreciateeeeeeee so much :))).

I just got accepted for Fall 2021! Super excited to attend a major University and live on my own for the first time.

@@beella6540 Things were pretty great! I’m an introvert so I didn’t really participate in any activities but classes for the most point were easy and enjoyable. Just expect many protestors and people trying to get you to sign things when you’re walking around, it gets annoying lol.

@@beella6540 Don't be! After the first 2 weeks things will feel like clockwork. Definitely use Ratemyprofessor to get the best teachers and try to get your assignments done quick so you can enjoy the rest of your week!

Thank you for posting this. I went to USF in 1968-69 before going off in the military. The campus is beautiful now. I lived in Alpha Hall, was wondering if it is still there. There was a dining hall between us and Beta.
David Nelms Alpha is still there. It was remodeled and renamed Kosove Hall. The dining hall is still there. Remodeled multiple times, including this year. Beta is still Beta!

I really wanna study there in fall of 2018. But I wanted to know if I got really high grades do I get a scholarship? I don't live in america and my parents aren't capable of paying FULL tution fees because of how expensive dollars are these days :/ Anyway Love your videos! ❤
USF gives really generous scholarships compared to the rest of Florida state schools, in my experience at least.

Around what weighted gpa do u need to get in?
They do their own recalculated GPA which will not include electives. We were told a 3.5 GPA is on the line, and would need a very high SAT/ACT score to accompany that GPA.

@@sittingturtleduck They said that electives don't have the necessary academic rigor to be considered. Too often easy electives are taken to help boost a lower GPA. They only calculate the GPA on the five core courses of study; English, Social Studies/Geography/History, Math, Science, and a foreign language.

Are you planning on going Pre-Med or going more for a laboratory route? I'm asking because I'm a health science major but I read Biomedical sciences is a great major for the pre-med route. Great video by the way man.
