"just listen to that engine purr"
    hahaha great video!
your comments are on point. i'm also getting old and feel the same.
bikes and cars are different to mess with, but all in all, metalmechanics is pretty similar.
    keep it up!

Thank you so much. I enjoyed making the video and getting my hands on the bike for the first time.

As long as the springs fit and compress when you tighten them down you should be fine.

I know this a year old let me know if you hear any chatter from the clutch cover using those springs. I don't remember if there was any chatter or some type of ticking from the clutch area. I did the clutch kit as your supposed too and used those springs too but there's a bit of chatter from the clutch area under there. Rides smooth though shifts great no problem

There’s was no chatter at all, if you are having chatter the. Something isn’t tight or damaged. It’s possible the basket wasn’t tightened evenly or the clutch disc’s are in an incorrect order. There shouldn’t be any chatter.

You said the bike now has more of a pull when you come off of the clutch , does it actually now move at slow speeds too loke you mentioned at 0:48??

Not until the oil has gotten warmed up and its been drivers for a bit, but there is now a clear point of engagement

@@WrenchHeadsTuning Thank you for responding back to me it truly means A LOT!
I've been struggling to try and find the CLEVVER kit online. Do you still know where you can find it or are they no longer sold? Any help you can give would be amazing. If I can't get this sorted out with my v star I'm going full automatic with a Honda.

@jsmalls911 so you can make it yourself instead of buying one for $80. Of you are on a custom all you’ll need is to convert the lever to the classic version as it is beefier. Then drill a second anchor hole. Whine the existing one. If you are replacing the clutch and springs then adjust your cable accordingly. I would suggest replacing the cable with a newer one as well.

I have a squealing problem. Does this mean that the clutch plates are worn and needing replacement?

How many kms did the bike have on it before you had to do this ?

I mean while im in the clutch, shouldn’t i just replace the disks and plates and add those springs. Kills two birds with one stone.

Absolutely!!!! I didn’t do that because I was being impatient and didn’t want the bike to be down for too long while waiting for the clutch kit.
