@1:30 Gareth makes the comment that AI wouldn't understand the beauty in photos, and then goes on to say "but then you go on to the site Midjourney, and it's pretty f***ing good". Lets be clear here, the Midjourney's AI has no idea what beauty in a photo is, it is just emulating, creating, a photo based on 'criteria' that was used in the AI training program to make something similar to what the user inputted. The Midjourney AI (and all others at this point) has no awareness what a beautiful photo is. Or another way, if I was able to post on the internets, in enough places that photos of people killed in the Ukraine war 'were beautiful' then the AI goes out into the internets to find material to create a beautiful photo, it would 'think' that is a definition of a beautiful photo and give you a photo of mangled people (assuming you typed in something like " give me a photo of a beautiful person").
