3:32 i coach elementary school kids. generally speaking we don’t fight through screens because a. my guards are not always strong enough to get through them & b. there really are not too many kids strong enough to consistently hit 3. would you say it’s still better to practice “optimal” play, or should we play something that my players can execute better (like keeping the biggest kid closer to the basket)
Totally understand. I’d say this. Why not have them work on getting into the ball. Then at the point of the screen they can switch or go under. Want defenders starting from a place of strength. I think showing hard/hedging for the big man wouldn’t be a bad thing to. That’s how I started out.
They won’t even let me back in the front doors after the year I had with them. You’re better off sending this in. But tell me your thoughts on the video.
Roy low key has the realest and best basketball channel of all the former players. It’s a real shame he’s not getting more praise and shine, when dumbass people like Gil and McCants just shout and say dumbass shit. This man is spitting real shit,
great analysis man 🔥 I found it pretty funny how you dislike drop coverage in today’s game when it was your bread and butter back in the day, but it def shows your open mindedness to accept where the game is headed - much respect 🫡
The amount of times g hill and pg said “Roy get up in the drop”. Even though coaches wanted the drop. You just leave the guard on an island all by himself.
Mid range will never go out of fashion just because of the drop coverage
First
It's actually rather nice watching Roy Hibbert talk about basketball. Open-minded to international basketball and actually likes the sport.
Love watching and studying basketball. Good players and teams overseas.
Good video. Really nice to see you involved in the comments section.
Hey Roy, big fan from your Pacers days. Great video!
Thanks boss. Go pacers.
I respect the consistency of your content Roy 🙏🏾
Appreciate that.

Thank you. I will def plane on doing it from the big perspective

What you think of Tyrese Halliburton right now since he’s not doing so well?
Let me watch some games and take a look.
