Fun fact Vader’s cape was very durable and basically an armored cape. Same thing with his suit. Both could withstand blaster shots and flames as well as much more

Edit: *It appears a lot of folks still don't get what I am trying to say, so I will explain a little bit.*
*In the comics, when Tarkin was hunting Vader down, his men, armed with flamethrowers, surrounded Vader and lit him up. Tarkin was able to detect a hint of fear, which is quite the rare emotion for the dark lord. Something to note is that Vader's suit is kinda fireproof.*
*I’d imagine it’s an innate fear that exists despite him knowing fire can’t hurt him. Like how people looking out of a skyscraper window can become scared of falling. You couldn’t possibly fall out that window, but your animal brain doesn’t really know that.*
