Basically, Cosmic Armor Superman is MORE POWERFUL Than Plot armor. That makes him more powerful than any multiversal crises event that has ever taken place in the entire history of the DC MULTIVERSE, because he's STRONGER than the PLOT itself.
Well if you think logically nothing in any fictional realm can avoid the plot as any action, even changing the plot, is still part of its overall story. Not only that, plot armor is simply the writers evening odds for the sake of said story. No matter how powerful a character is they can’t escape the writers intent as they themselves are simply the imagination of said writer who can force them to do as they please without question. So if the writer intends to make a character, no matter his power, win ( which is literally what plot armor is) then said character will.

Plot is the strongest..what makes Superman strongest is that he has the power of hope..
So even if a character comes who can write plot, the plot will somehow be written in favour of Superman because hope can only end when consciousness ends.
So the writer is trying to insinuate that even they can't write something against Superman because he is the symbol of hope they created.

I saw something interesting about CAS from an interview with Grant Morrison. As he said, Writers and Editors in DC come and go one thing will never go and that is the character of Superman, even when a writer does a Superman story and an editor gives his notes, there are some things even we can not do to the character, it's an unspoken rule. This is why in my eyes (Grant Morrison's) the character is unbeatable.
This not word for word exactly what he said but is what I remembered he said. It was an comicon interview he did years ago and I have not been able to find it on youtube but it was interesting to see how GM views the Superman archetype.

The truth is no fictional character trancends the plot or can truly defy the plot. The ability that Cosmic armor superman has that makes him win when he was not supposed to win was all according to the true writer's plan, no matter how powerful you think your ability to manipulate the plot is, it is really the true writer writing everything that is supposed to happen and cosmic armor thinking that he is defying the plot. "You were supposed to lose againts Mandrak but you defied the plot and won." You did not defy anything, the writer is absolute in any story, it is the writer that wrote everything about you and it is the writer that wrote that you would think that you are defying the plot, nothing can escape from the writer.
When writers only care about making a character as strong as possible without caring about a good story, Superman is what u get. This why goku will always be a superior character/ icon.
