As an added note, throughout the months that I spent without uploading anything, I was working on two animations: A Markiplier Animated Part 2 and an Overwatch animation, featuring Genji and Zenyatta. However, for the reasons mentioned in the video, they were halted for now. Also, I was rather tense when making this video so I kept stuttering and looking to my right (my new workplace has one hell of a view). Apologies for that :P
LoneWolfHBS I have the same problem. I like telling / making stories, and immediately lose interest on designing or writing the characters. It's a lot of work, and I have cancelled a couple of them mainly due to lack of interest. Now I only have at least 2 or three stories in my head, and it's still easy to lose interest. Regardless of your choice, I'll stay subcribed. Your story telling is what got me interested in the first place. ^-^

I do actually like my work. I'm still very proud of White Lie and, to a lesser extent, Cult of Personality. I just don't enjoy the process in making them anymore.

Excited to see where this channel will go, I'd love to see some closure for the CoP series even if it's just a summary of how you intended for it to end- the series was one of the first UA-cam series I got into so it'd be a nice nostalgia trip to see the ending. Also excited to see what you come out with for your novel, hope you find success going down that path.

i'm glad to know why the animations will have stopped, and while disappointing, i subscribed for the stories you were creating, not just because of the animation. I can understand hobbies changing and i hope that you maintain your drive to tell stories as you said in the video. Never give up on telling the stories you want to tell, you never know how they will affect the world around you.
I would like to hear about your Novel, its always interesting to hear the thoughts of someone on something they worked on. Im working on a book which I started 6 years ago, I had to throw away the first version because it was too cliché-ish and then I had to rewrite my second version because it was too strange and hard to read. So yeah I would like to switch tips and hear thoughts and backstories with a fellow story teller.
I can understand your situation. I don't have a great attention span, and loose interest in things rather quickly, and it's never fun when a hobby becomes work, because of all the time and energy you'll have to put into it. But I'm just happy for the animations you've given us so far and am really happy for them. I still watch them to this day. And also I'm happy to hear that you're not giving up on your channel entirely. And am looking forward to seeing gaming videos. And I would like to hear more about CoP. And the novel you're writing, sounds very impressive. Also just a suggestion; you could maybe shift from animations and focus on comics. They're a great form of story telling. And you're not limited with dialogue.

As a story teller myself but through writing I know how it is to lose interest and want to take a breather every so often. Because if we did something we loved nonstop, it wouldn’t be enjoyable as it was. Please do what let’s you stay comfortable and focus on the projects you want to do. I’ll be looking forward to any future stories you will create. Patience is a virtue.

I don't know why people are surprised that CoP probably and most likely won't really continue. I knew it wouldn't for a long time, and it was quite obvious for many reasons. One of them is that the community was trash. People took the animations too seriously and attacked others who didn't enjoy it or they simply just attacked others just for the fun of it, claiming Lone to be their "Medic" and worshipping him like some god.(I mean, he's great, but he's not Jesus). You can see a previous video on Lone's channel explaining it. I forgot the name of it, but it's easy to find if you look for it. The community was extremely toxic back then (it seems to have died down now, but I'm not exactly sure.), and I think Lone just didn't want to be part of it at all, so he chose to delay the series. (Which sucked for the people like me, who weren't attacking anyone and were just watching the videos for the fun of it. But hey, that's just my opinion. I can me completely wrong, but whatever. You do you, LoneWolf. Your channel, your rules. You don't have to continue it, we'll still watch your videos (especially the gaming ones. Battlefront II gameplay would be sick! :D)

I too absolutely loved Cult of Personality and it saddens me to see it not be animated to completion on the original channel, but I see in the reasoning why. Cult of Personality was a unique story about how a group of what seemed to be 'average people' uniting as one to fight the common meta. Stories like this tend to draw big crowds because it tends to hit on all of the popular forms of entertainment (IE Drama, Comedy, Action, etc.) and due to this it draws in fans from all walks of life, including the bad ones. Those people who lashed out for hating the animation, really are not learning from the animation they are trying to protect. It's a story about finding your way, and finding your own unique path. Sure, it is about rising against the oppressors, but I do recall that o.W.n accepted all walks of life, even individuals who originally opposed it. I will end my rant now, LoneWolf if your reading this post know that I look forward to seeing how you envisioned Cult of Personality and want to applaud you for sticking around for all of us to listen and watch your stories. I will be sticking around for a while:)
Animation can never be a solo thing, it can really stress you out until you finally run out of steam. It hurts when you are done. But I'm glad you tone it down to small scale, at least it won't hurt you so much compare to a series. Funny Shorts should do nicely.
Why does this happen all the time? UA-camr Creates original content, gets tired of making original content, decides he/she is going to gaming videos , then channel falls flat and becomes dead.
Yeah same thing happened this year UA-camrs are barely making any videos also the views are going flat even VanossGaming jacksepticeye are getting low views 2017 and 2016 are just the worst years I've seen on UA-cam I hope this year will be better but it wouldn't let's just hope next year is more like it also white lie I watched a lot of your Left 4 Dead series with Zoe and it's the main character oh yeah if you can if you have any time in the future I'm only asking this at least just once play GTA V online with friends or something if you don't like it then let me know cuz there's been a lot of DLCs released this year and I think they're going to be pretty great

If you want my answer, it is thoroughly due to fatigue of doing the same thing for years and losing interest. I've been SFMing since 2013 and I'm sure you guys know that animating requires a lot more work than editing a gaming video. The reason for the change is primarily because, unlike SFMing, I enjoying gaming a lot more. But I understand the frustrations. 2016 and 2017 have been weird years for the UA-cam community, with popular ones losing views or getting into controversies. The "curse" seems to have affected me as well, making me move to doing something different from what I am known for. But make no mistake, keeping my channel from dying is one reason why I am moving to gaming videos. If I don't do that, with my lack of interest in animating, there will be no more videos in a very long while.
Do what you love, that's what animator kitty0706 said. If you need a break, take a break. We all understand that, because animation is really a tough job where 1 little detail can take up hours of your concentration. It's not that your stuff and work of passion dissapears, we can watch all the vids you created as often as we like :)

To me it sounds like he wants to make a second clan. I doubt anyone will join him, but judging from the comments, he's drawing quite a bit of negative attention.

hey my fellow only other animator in the whole of singapore base youtube channels. thought we would be the only 2 animation channels here holding the front, 3D SFM and 2D animation, but well, sad to hear that you've lost the motivation and drive to animate anymore. given you've being doing the same thing over the last few years repetitively its understandable theres going to be a burnout eventually. given your issues you're talking, you should try working with more people into your production. for my case, I got someone who helps me sound my animation so I didn't had to worry on puting sounds in my animations and it open up alot more on what I can do... anyway, I hope your channel still continues to grow and push up the ranks to be the only independent 3D SFM animation channel in singapore along with me heh. ps. back then your channel was my source of competition to be on your same level.
Well, it's good to hear from a fellow on this. But yeah, while I enjoyed sharing the stories I made, I just never had the interest in animation. I just do it because it was the only way I knew I could share my stories and honestly, my animation quality weren't really that good. Working alone definitely amps up the workload. Still, thanks for the words. PS. You've done well for yourself. You have more subs than me now.
Do what you want, dude. I'll stick around as long as you make content. You seem like a creative individual. EDIT: I would actually prefer to see you review games than do let's plays. I think I'm more interested in your thoughts on the narratives of some of your favorite games, and I personally think it would allow you to actually talk about your perspective, as a storyteller, more.
i sympathize with your situation, your animations are very good but if you want to do something else, i am all for it. also, i can't help but wander, what can you do with actual dialogue instead of the tf2/l4d/e.t.c voice commands, XD i always think that limitates the reach of the story.
If I do have access to voice actors that sound like the characters, trust me, I can do so much more than what I already did. Heck, Zoey would never be mute if that's the case. I made her mute because her dialogue couldn't mesh well with Coach, Ellis and Nick in the first episode.
Comic format would be the best, the CoP animations had the problem of very limited and thus often vague dialogues. Plus it's easier and faster to make by a mile.
It's something I approached/was approached by others before but nothing ever came of it. Either they rejected my offer or when they offered me, they got nothing for me.
I respect your decision and hope the best for your channel but please at least finish Cult of Personality animated, I know you said you would rather discuss it but please as one final staple in your career and for your fans please animate it
Cult of personality ending project is easy to finish only problem is that nobody want take over the project. Example: bad ending: Medic finally conquer entire tf2 maps and stop the war between Blu and Red. Good ending: Red Femscout convince/kill oWn medic and prevent further oWn invasion and save Blu and Red team. The battle between them continue.
yeah, when you do something, if you are satisfied by it even half way done, you lost interest in it Same thing for me, sooo many game i did not finished ...

Yout videos are very good and have a high quality, I wish me, that you can continue and end cult of personality in form of a video. I know it's much work, you can get time so much you need, but please end it. It's very fantastic and the best anime who i have seen. Oh no. I saw the overwatch hat and knew what was coming. Absolutely no interest in seeing yet more Tf2 channels move on to overwatch content so, Yeah I'll be unsubbing. Good luck in your future endeavours or whatever.
If you have to know, despite the hat, I've haven't played Overwatch in about 2 months so the likelihood of me making an Overwatch gameplay video is very slim.

Artist block is a strong negative thing. Burnout can also occur.

I prefer quality over quantity. If it's too much work to make them constantly, work on it at your own pace. You have amazing animation talent.

hey my fellow only other animator in the whole of singapore base youtube channels. thought we would be the only 2 animation channels here holding the front, 3D SFM and 2D animation, but well, sad to hear that you've lost the motivation and drive to animate anymore. given you've being doing the same thing over the last few years repetitively its understandable theres going to be a burnout eventually.
given your issues you're talking, you should try working with more people into your production. for my case, I got someone who helps me sound my animation so I didn't had to worry on puting sounds in my animations and it open up alot more on what I can do...
anyway, I hope your channel still continues to grow and push up the ranks to be the only independent 3D SFM animation channel in singapore along with me heh.
ps. back then your channel was my source of competition to be on your same level.
Well, it's good to hear from a fellow on this. But yeah, while I enjoyed sharing the stories I made, I just never had the interest in animation. I just do it because it was the only way I knew I could share my stories and honestly, my animation quality weren't really that good. Working alone definitely amps up the workload. Still, thanks for the words.

EDIT: I would actually prefer to see you review games than do let's plays. I think I'm more interested in your thoughts on the narratives of some of your favorite games, and I personally think it would allow you to actually talk about your perspective, as a storyteller, more.
i sympathize with your situation, your animations are very good but if you want to do something else, i am all for it.
also, i can't help but wander, what can you do with actual dialogue instead of the tf2/l4d/e.t.c voice commands, XD i always think that limitates the reach of the story.
If I do have access to voice actors that sound like the characters, trust me, I can do so much more than what I already did. Heck, Zoey would never be mute if that's the case. I made her mute because her dialogue couldn't mesh well with Coach, Ellis and Nick in the first episode.

Comic format would be the best, the CoP animations had the problem of very limited and thus often vague dialogues. Plus it's easier and faster to make by a mile.

It's something I approached/was approached by others before but nothing ever came of it. Either they rejected my offer or when they offered me, they got nothing for me.

Cult of personality ending project is easy to finish only problem is that nobody want take over the project. Example: bad ending: Medic finally conquer entire tf2 maps and stop the war between Blu and Red. Good ending: Red Femscout convince/kill oWn medic and prevent further oWn invasion and save Blu and Red team. The battle between them continue.

Yout videos are very good and have a high quality, I wish me, that you can continue and end cult of personality in form of a video. I know it's much work, you can get time so much you need, but please end it. It's very fantastic and the best anime who i have seen. Oh no. I saw the overwatch hat and knew what was coming. Absolutely no interest in seeing yet more Tf2 channels move on to overwatch content so, Yeah I'll be unsubbing. Good luck in your future endeavours or whatever.
If you have to know, despite the hat, I've haven't played Overwatch in about 2 months so the likelihood of me making an Overwatch gameplay video is very slim.
