That doesn't mean you can't be good at the game. Some people don't have the time to put hundreds of hours into the game. Also, lots of hours don't exactly make you good either, I have a lot of hours and I suck at the game lol

And don't get me started on versus, players with less than 1000 hours are completely anihilated in versus. If you can't invest a lot of time in getting better at something you will never be remotely good at it, especially games with a high difficulty curve like left 4 dead 2
Being good at the game, and being an advanced player are two different things. You don't have to be an expert with 500+ hours to be a good player or at least an average player. You can be good at the game by completing campaigns and getting gold on survival, which isn't that hard, I'm not even good at the game and I achieved gold on dead center. Yes, in order to do some of the things you said you need to put in more hours, but what I'm trying to say is you can be good/decent at the game without tons of hours of gameplay.
