It does come with a nice little guide. We really enjoyed the dart program. It so gentle and a great way to to learn along side a great book. My son actually picked out the next book in the series at the book store. To me it's a huge win!

Hello, I have been wanting to try one of Julies programs forever too. I read her book a long time ago and just finally circled back to this. I found a book I can get the single Dart for that I think she will like. My concern is that we have not learned things like noun, adjective, etc yet in her learning journey. She is 3rd grade age and a good reader but we just haven't gotten into that stuff yet. Will this program teach it or do we need to learn all of that first to be able to do the dart program from your personal experience? Thanks! This video was very helpful.

Your daughter can learn all of the grammar concepts with Brave Writer Darts. She doesn't need to know them beforehand. It can be a confusing tool to use but, it is really awesome. I like to take longer with a Dart than 1 month and really soak in what available to learn and enjoy. We take it in little bites of info. Another one of my favorite programs for grammar is Guest Hollow Beowulf's Grammar. I also use that. It's really easy use and fun as well.

How long does it take per day? Thank you!

I would say it only take 15 to 20 minutes a day. I usually read a chapter and then I'll discuss one of the topics, for example pointing out the superlatives in the weeks passage and then we may do an activity like walk around the house naming objects with superlatives. It's super gentle and flexible but, is also to the point. It feels like we are just doing a read out-loud and then take a few moments to learn a little extra. It's become one of our favorite parts of the day.
