I have been colecting nail polish for years. I love the bright colors I will get. I have nail polish in every color in the rainbow and metallics and glitters. The reason I collect polish is for jewelry work. You can change a bead or finding to a color you need. I also use it to brighten old jewelry findings. I can't wait to do this. God Bless

What an interesting technique. looks like so much fun. Now I need to go out and get some nail polish. I know your thinking really???? Yes, this girl doesn't use nail polish. I never can keep it on my nails so I gave up long ago. lol Anyways love the beautiful color combinations you used. Hugs Sue

That is cute Sue. I know what you mean however. A friend of mine went to the Dollar Tree and said she found loads of polishes in a bin that were 10 for a dollar. Now that is a good deal...hahahha I found the least expensive ones worked the best for me. Hope you will give this a try. I know you will love it. Have a great weekend my friend.

Good morning Babs. Thanks for stopping by, and for viewing my tutorials. I don't mix my powders much, but like to apply water on the page first, then the powders to the water. I find they clog if I don't have the right consistency. I buy the sprays already mixed. hahaha A lazy mans spray. LOL The only powders I know that work well with water are the Perfect Pearls. Hope that helps. Have a wonderful day. Thanks also for the kind compliment about my tutorials. smiles

OMGOSH!!! I can't wait to see the cards you create!! I have tons of nail polish that I use for painting my paper beads. When you do your black and white get the shimmer/glitter and add that in. You will be amazed at the effects and color play it will bring you. Have you tried using a paper punch or die cutting machine on the paper yet? I'm wondering if the polish will crack and flake off! I think I will cut my shapes first and then dip them. lol...can you tell how excited I am about this technique? lol Thank you so much for sharing!

When I put the die cut through, I put a dryer sheet between the card and die, that way I didn't take a chance of it separating. Also, die cut from the back of the watercolour card stock. smiles I can't wait to here what you think about it when you give it a try. smiles

    This is so cool🔥
Quick question: I want to write a word on the card. Would it best to try and move the nail polish while it’s in the water to try and form the word I want (like you did with the hearts) or should I use the nail polish remover on the paper to write the word?

    • @CarolHeld

Good afternoon Leago. I would add a die cut piece of paper to the bottom of your page or simply write on another spot of your card. I hope this helps. Carol, did you actually try doing a large canvas using a cookie sheet? How did it work out? Did you make videos of projects using the nail polish cards you made for this video? I am not finding any.
I ordered a set of cheap nail polish from Amazon. I got 12 different colors. I can't wait to try this now that I have decided to go ahead and use my 140 pound Bee Company watercolor paper. It is such thick paper.
I am going to use a piece of plastic tablecloth rather than paper towels or parchment paper. I hope it works. I have used pieces of the plastic for other work. I just use a little poster putty on each corner to hold it to my kitchen counter.

It is very thick and archival quality is the best with Bee Company. I guess a year ago, without knowing much about watercolor paper, I still purchased a good paper. You can really spend a fortune on good watercolor paper. I hope this paper will not warp.

Never heard or seen this technique before so thank U kindly!.. This will allow me to use up an enormous collection of nail polish I've had for years!!!.. Good afternoon Marie. It is my pleasure to meet you here on my Channel today. I actually thought of that idea, but didn't try it for the tutorial. I would imagine it would be fantastic. I would love to know if it worked out for you. I do that when I am running low on a nail polish colour it it thickened on me, so I don't know why it wouldn't work using this method. Maybe it would be a bit more translucent, which would look great too! Have a very nice week coming up.

I just love this video, but cannot get mine to work. The nail polish clumps up, dries out very fast or sinks to the bottom. Hello there. I searched out some tutorials for you to see if we could resolve the problem. I saw that using a cheaper brand caused the gluing agent to float on the top making the color not able to bloom out. I was thinking that I used 140 lb. watercolour card stock so maybe the great results I had was due to the high poundage of water-colour paper. I hope that this helps in some way. I hope you get better results in the future . Have a great weekend.
