It very interesting. They had the same issue with the V-19 in the CW box for X-wing but they caught that one before it shipped since the boxes all had the extra bag with the correct dial in it.
I'm really confused why the epic ships aren't in the app.the seems like with the misprint mistakes release mistakes and the app issues. It feels like x-wings too much for them to handle.
They actually responded to someone with "Huge ships won't be in the app. But you can look up the points on this document!"
Which seems stupid and backwards.

They just confirmed on Facebook they're not being added to the current app because they're completely reworking the app.
"Many of you have noticed that the huge ships have not been added to the X-Wing Squad Builder app. We are actually in the process of completely reworking our X-Wing Squad Builder app, including developing a much more user-friendly interface, offline mode, and support for huge ships and epic play. For now, all tournament-legal ships are still supported by the current Squad Builder app."

I am kind of surprised that the CR90 isn't white in the 4 or 5 straight. It has what is it, 11 engines, and is known as the blockade runner. I guess for a broadside ship you would want turns to be lower stress. I guess game playability over Canon. I could be wrong.
I love the huge ship play but no app support and issues with the bases are very annoying.
I don’t think you can rely on 3rd party app support. That’s too big a risk for the company to take. Didn’t they release a pdf with points? I wonder why they didn’t update their app? They need someone to communicate with the community as well as they have done with the Legion community lately. It’s a good thing they are good at sending replacements out

I haven't unboxed my new CR-90 yet, because I don't have a case for it (and I don't have room in my place for having it set up on the stand at all times), so I hadn't noticed that; and because I don't follow FFG on Twitter (or anyone else, for that matter, because I don't do Twitter!), I didn't know about this at all. Oh well...as I'm mostly a casual gamer, it doesn't make that much difference to me, but I will get the replacements when they become available...I already have some CR-90s, and so the conversion kit dials won't cover all of those, alas.
I can forgive things like this fairly easily, though it is an inconvenience...but I do agree that not having the points on things is a real bugbear, because I used to enjoy totaling those things up for myself in 1st edition. Though I could get the various printouts and such for 2nd edition and do it, I've generally just used the app (not happily, though!), and would generally prefer not to have a computer out (I don't have a smartphone) in addition to all the rest of the stuff that takes up table-and-chair space when playing X-Wing and Armada.
My friend and I didn't switch to 2.0 because we love playing big cinematic thematic battles with huge ships. Tbh The Gozanti's carrier tactics are the only reason I bought into the game in the first place.
Now they are out and it's insultingly obvious they are a rushed side project. Botched dials. No app support (I've always been against the points not being on the cards anyway). The issues with the stands.
So it's just the 4 straight, 2 bank, and 1 bank that are the wrong colour right? So theoretically this can be fixed with a red BIC pen, a blue highlighter and being really careful with some white out?
I would run it as is, its what came in the box. Star Trek Attack Wing did the same thing with the jem'hadar battleship they forgot to add a 4 turn on it. So they said if you have the old dial you can run it.
Being able to change the points is the best quality of the game. Things need to be changed if things get out of hand. It would cost FFG too much to reprint things with new points on the cards. Thanks for the heads up on the dials!
Re quick builds. As someone who has taught upwards of 2 dozen people to play X-Wing I think they are a great introduction to the game. Give a player a card and off they go. There are so many upgrades, pilots and permutations, when starting it can be a little overwhelming. They are not competitive, some have conflicting play styles within the ship, but this is great for teaching how to upgrade and balance a ship. Just my view on things. Huge ships app, huge mistake, get it sorted FFG

You're totally right about the builder. I like what variable points have done for the game and I'm willing to put up with the inconvenience for that, but when they don't put it in the damn app that is not ok. We don't have a way to use the product we buy without downloading some badly formatted PDFs. They're basically admitting that they can't manage their app or coordinate sufficiently with their software team?

When FFGs contract with its official squad builder app ends. They shouldn’t renew and should pay YASB instead.
I'm just glad FFG usually replaces misprints and damages.
The fitting for the bases still isn’t quite right. I still have issues with getting the beams to stand straight.
I had that problem with the 1.0 Raider. I just could not get the whole dang thing to stand straight. The stands in the 2.0 conversion kit fixed that in a hurry.

As someone just getting into X-wing(and really wanting to get a big ship for some story missions I can do with friends) I'm starting to worry. This basically means at any point in the future I might buy a huge ship and get a missprint and then what I do if that say..1-2 years down the road, will they care to replace my misprint?
Ohh and the app thing is annoying and I've experienced it before in a different game and it sucks. For me this rings Warhammer Silver Tower all over again. GW printed like 5 copies of the cards for running many models as characters in the game and then put it all in a barely functional app. Nowadays theese card packs run for a fortune so they ar enot worth the purchase and using the app for running your character is so annoying. I'm getting FFG's app atleast works well but again it misses stuff and it also requires a solid effort from you to even get to play with your cardboard and plastic stuff.
Yes they will. They are actually REALLY good about replacing stuff - it's just that right now it's going to take them longer to complete all of them as they are out of stock.

Good catch. I hadn't noticed (yet). I have submitted my replacement request with FFG. Hopefully won't take too long for them to get these out, but meanwhile, I'll just use the ones that came with it.

Crabbok has included a link, above, to the statement from FFG. Basically the dial will be replaced on request, but there will be a delay as these will need to be specially printed.
NOTE: IF YOU BOUGHT THE CR90 V2 and need to claim a replacement you MAY need to provide the code provided with every FFG product. You know the one I mean, its the tiny piece of card that no-one knows what to do with when they press out the cardboard!
Hi guys, has anyone else experienced misprints? Also did anyone have success getting replacement cards from Fantasy flight? I just bought some 1.0 X-wing exapansion, and the Chimaera Expansion. Both had misprints... I have one Mandalorian upgrade card that was blank... For my SD the I rec'd 3 of the same base card, none of which was the Chimaera ship base card...

So i have the conversion kit - that is correct. I just before i opened anything 2.0 i made sure to toss everything previous 1.0 into the cardboard recycle pile.
1 year ago and just now i realized it, my CR 90 had also the wrong Dial
It is frustrating to drop that kind of money on an expansion, only to find it not correct in some way and not supported officially. I kept checking the app and wondered where the cr90 was! I looked in all other apps and do not see it. Bummer!
Still not as bad as the Dewbacks that we still don't have.

I agree with having points and upgrades on the card. Wanting to play casual x wing with a low phone battery at the game store is a sad affair.
Complete lack of basic proof checking. Especially when you take the price of their items. It seems a bit of a bug bear from a lot of companies. Mantic and Warlord being prime. Releasing rules books with grievous mistakes and having to print off at your own expense to solve it. But something as simple as checking it before it goes to print pretty sloppy.
That's interesting I wonder what caused this mixup and does the raider have Cr90 dials?
Thought it was just me having issues with the bases. I got them to work but you gotta really shove the stands into the base. I'll probably just cut the cardboard a bit, the issue is with the ship tile, not the base, I think.

Just got the CR90 and this is big news to me. For what this costs, this is basically unacceptable from an established company. Especially annoying that the points aren’t in the app, it’s like they don’t really care about this except as a cash grab.
Has there been at least one issue with each of the previous waves? There was the Torrent. Something else had double yellow sided charge tokens.
Y-Wings had no Target Locks.... Saw's Renegades originally had the S-Foils not close all the way...
My core set had double sided charge and force tokens where both sides were the same color

Still waiting for Launch Bay to finish integrating epic... But I get it, I think it's just one guy doing it. And it's not like he's getting paid.
This is why I am a firm believer that what is printed should STICK. They made a mistake, that's on them. But no, instead we're obligated to find PDFs and third party support? FFG is starting to turn into the Bethesda of board gaming.
This is why I have all but abandoned X-Wing for competitive play. More fun to be casual about it. Might even bust out my 1.0 and just play that, at least the points are on the fucking cards (Like with Legion or Armada). This shit with these apps and documents isn't why I got into war gaming. Being that I'm an Imp/Reb player exclusively, it's not like FFG has given me any real reason to be excited about 2.0, instead they want to push a Rep/CIS heavy meta on us, encouraging everyone to buy 12 ship swarms (about $130 bucks) because what's fair and competitive is not important to them.
How do we get the new bases?
Sell the bad dials on ebay as "Alternate art" dials. lol

Sounds like they're having issues getting the right level of quality out of their producers in some cases - that I get. But it's so weird that they've had a few issues with the dial printings

Well, the misprint on the dials isn't really a big deal, you can either buy the conversion kit or just ask to FFG for replacement. What buged me more is... there are no point costs for epic ships and upgrades yet?! Wuuuut?! How ppl plays with epic ships then?! I am a little confused over here... also, those epic ships are more expensive than Star Wars Armada ships, that is a lot frustrating... too much $$$$ that I don't have!!!
Ah, nevermind... you can see their costs on FFG site. But yeah, it is annoying that we don't see any information of the ships and of the upgrades printed on their cards. I don't even use that FFG app, lolz.

My conversion kit cardboard won’t fit the huge ship bases in the kit out of the box - I had to widen them up with a file to make it fit.
Looks like I’m going to have to wait until replacements get in…

It’s weird, between this and the dewbacks, this is kind of off. Maybe they’re not doing the qa checks of the files sent to manufacturers
So I've started collecting x-wing a little while ago, with trying to get 1 of every 2.0 ship before backfilling the ones I need more then one of with the last 2 purchases being the 2.0 huge ships, and the 2 of them missing from their list builder (well more the "collection" tab) has turned me off to the whole game. After watching this I'm even more turned off to the whole property sigh.

I wonder if Asmodee (or maybe just the higher ups internally at FFG) are trying to push too much too fast and are adding too many IPs into their business? People could be overworked or juggling too many projects which could be the cause of so many mistakes.

FFGs quality for xwing has been kinda shoddy for 2.0. The app didn't work at launch, misprints, delays, botched releases. Whats happening FFG?

You aren't in the minority. I hate having to use a app. Its stupidly complicated for friendly games. You can't just show up and play. This is pushing me to stop buying any more X-Wing. I love the game and have more than 100 models, but I think I'm done. Apps suck for gaming.
