You are such a good cameraman, you are so steady and you linger at the right angles and don't swing it around too fast. Anyone watching this who appreciates Post's low key professional approach might also enjoy the content at Farm Hunter channel as well. He is in Minnesota. I have no connection to Farm Hunter channel only offering because you might enjoy.
This reminds me of my childhood, growing up in very rural W. KY, yet as a kid I'd find all sorts of stuff to explore, illegal dumps, a burnt out shack from the 30's(was always too scared to go in), tiny graveyards, abandoned cars from the 60's(maybe 50's). I haven't felt this centered in a long time. I gotta get back to the woods!
We have an abandoned train station where I live too. I wish they would bring the train system back because I hate having to drive an forty mins to an hour to catch the train. Lol 😂
It's a shame that your county and city officials don't seem to care about your town the way you do. Looks like they would want to maintain things like you do. Loving your videos by the way. God bless
Superb video as always! They sure don't build 'em like they used to. Where I live - Norwich, Norfolk, UK - we have some very old Mediaeval buildings that are leaning just like this, if not more, but are still lived in. Adds to the character! I adore abandoned buildings and have fond memories of scurrying around deconsecrated churches with my grandad - I remember having to jump over a missing stone step as we went to the top of the bell tower and for a little girl it felt like leaping over a canyon.
WOW, Brilliant. I remember your other video of this Station, and am amazed it's still standing. It looked bad enough the last time and has deteriorated a lot since then. Maybe this winter it will collapse with the weight of snow ? Take care and thanks for the update on this place :-)
It's a terrible shame that the Maplewood Station could not be saved. Abandoned for 100 years and looks better than something that was abandoned a couple years ago,. We throw away far too much in modern times.
Obscure Vermont has a brief article on the history of Maplewood Station, the resort opened in 1876 with its own train station so visitors could easily travel from Boston and New York to the mountain resort, but the automobile changed everything and the train station was abandoned by the early 1920s, the hotel burned down in January 1963.
Post, I think actually that chimney is basically holding up that entire building at this point....but any vandalism they are doing with ripping off anymore siding like that kind of does ruin the structural integrity of the building even more as the rest of the building has to compensate for the slight further weakness now opened up. It may have a couple more years left but you can see above the door frame at the start the beams are starting to split outward which means the entire left side of the house is basically trying to fall but the right wall and chimney are left basically supporting the structure up. I think once that chimney falls over inside the house the entire structure will be going over with it as it essentially will "pull" the entire structure over with it as it crashes through the outer walls. It will be interesting if it survives another winter.
They really had good craftmanship 100+ years ago. I would rather own an old house or building than a new build one made with crap materials and lousy workmanship. It was a lovely queen Anne style building. Love your videos.
Really shows how old buildings are built to last. If a 2010 house was left for this long, it would be a pile of nothing. Also post 10, be careful out there in these dangerous buildings. Love your channel
Post 10, were the upstairs rooms public lodging or was it accommodations for employees, do you know? Thanks for taking me places I’ll never go myself. These adventures are so very much fun.
I don't know what it is but this place just reminds of the movie "Fried Green tomatoes" I wonder what it looked like in it's hay day, plus the old train tracks covered over look amazing!
It would be neat if you put an animal tracking camera up pointed at the station, and checked back on it every month. You could get footage of it galling down.
posting a week later but another reason the building still stands is because they used what they call true timber so the 2x4's were actually 2 inches by 4 inches instead or the normally 1 3/4 by 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 inches the studs are today.
Great video. Awesome buildings. I despise when vandals do the graffiti thing. It takes away from the structures authentic appearance the way it was left when abandoned.
I don't know Sidestep Adventures, I"ll check him out. I posted a minute ago that Farm Hunter has a similarly paced, straightforward, no frills approach to his content which is very easy on the eyes and ears.
There's so much nice wood here. If the owner were to have it demolished, it would've been really nice to have a lot of the building preserved to be put into other houses.
I was thinking the same thing. That's what my parents did when I was 11. They agreed to demolish a 2 story smaller house at the other end of town to reclaim most of the lumber and large windows in wooden frames. We lived in a very remote location in a tiny community so you either had to mill your own lumber or reclaim it from elsewhere. My parents did both. The wood was reused to build a large closed up workshop with an attached storage area with one side open (tall with full roof) for some cars, equipment, and a lot of firewood for the wood stoves. The structure spans the whole back width of one property. This building they made has been standing for about 57 years now and still going strong. They had a lot of savings because my dad had a really good job all his life, but they were always the type to recycle, reuse, & harvest from nature (berry picking for jams and baking, fishing, hunting, gardening, canning, mushroom picking, dehydrating foods, smoking fish, etc.) They were never hippie types (very traditional couple) but they didn't like waste. They recycled and composted before it was the thing to do. They are gone now but I still reap the benefits of what they built together and have 2 homes and a cottage that my Dad either built from scratch or renovated himself in his spare time. They are all extra sturdy with old wood, some hardwood floors, and a lot of beams he milled himself and put in 2 buildings with a high ceiling from our property in our forest. Going in these old buildings with these videos & tromping around in nature brings back warm memories. I'm not so active outside anymore and really procrastinated a lot today about finishing up chores to get ready for winter. Oh well, I have until the beginning of November to finish up and then I get to hibernate.
🇳🇱NL.in the netherlands it is now 1 october 17.20 and here it is also autumn and it rains all day long greetings from hans and that only a lot of videos can follow.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🍀❤️
Confirmed, Post 10 hates mindless Graffiti and I agree.

Think its a gimbal
“That’s awesome! Very rotten!”🤣❤️
It’s so pretty with the sun streaming through the broken ceiling. Thank you so much for showing us this!
Love these adventures you take us on but, please be careful. We want to see many more adventures!!
He'll be fine he's a responsible guy if a bunch of delinquent kids with spray paint can get in and out of there safely so can he
I’m surprised he went in. I remember my parents taking me here 20 years ago and nobody dared go in then
I love these old buildings, lots of character! Well documented Post10. Thanks 👍

I think it would be pretty sweet if you could get a small camera drone to fly into those places you can't go safely.
That little wave at 7:13 ! 😊
We have an abandoned train station where I live too. I wish they would bring the train system back because I hate having to drive an forty mins to an hour to catch the train. Lol 😂
So good to see this video. You choose the most intriguing places!
So sad that things like this get lost and forgotten.
When I see this all I can think of the people that used to be there everyday. Where are those families today? Mostly dead
I came to make this exact comment. To think that what we now call home will someday be just like this as well it is such a horrifying thought.
I wish we had places like this where I live, thanks again post! Hope you are having a good day.
The videos are always interesting, I especially enjoyed the flashback segment. Thank you post 10.💚💚
This is a fascinating video, I am so glad that you have recorded these buildings for posterity. Many thanks for the work that you have put into this.
Love the videos. Good history lesson as well. You make it interesting to watch. Sad this train station has rotted.
The flashback to 3 years ago was really cool. Made it feel like watching a movie
It's a shame that your county and city officials don't seem to care about your town the way you do. Looks like they would want to maintain things like you do. Loving your videos by the way. God bless
I really love these walks you do showing old building and such. Makes me miss the country where we used to do the same. Thank You for sharing.
Superb video as always!

Absolutely love this video!!!
All your videos are very interesting my dear keep up the good work
I'd love to be able to just watch it during a storm.
Great videos, subscribed to both of your channels awhile back. Have you ever been to the abandoned Stratton and Co. Flour Mill in Boscawen, NH?
Be careful so it not falls down on you! Awesome video as always.
Oh wow! Thank you for showing us the upstairs and preserving that for posterity. Wonder if it was like a hotel up there?
What are you using to stabilize your video? just handheld camera?
It's a terrible shame that the Maplewood Station could not be saved. Abandoned for 100 years and looks better than something that was abandoned a couple years ago,. We throw away far too much in modern times.
It's like a real life Shrieking Shack.
Amazing craftsmanship in these old buildings
There's a kinda beauty in the decay. Like watching nature slowly reclaim something. Thanks for the interesting videos.
Awesome again post, so different in the autumn
The Maplewood series is my favourite!
The post-collapse video will be a somber one.

Its October 1st in nm time for spooky season thanks for taking us on adventures but stay safe god bless and also nice work on the vids keep it up
ah yes a man of MW
So sad that this piece of history was let go to waste...Thank you for a very awesome video
Wow awesome man. That is a fantastic old building.
The old photo of the train staition was beautiful. Its a shame they let it fall to pieces.
Another subscriber. You're getting close to a quarter million subs. Keep up the great work Post. Don't forget your rake!
They really had good craftmanship 100+ years ago. I would rather own an old house or building than a new build one made with crap materials and lousy workmanship. It was a lovely queen Anne style building. Love your videos.
Dang sad that things that get used just go to waste
@Gretas RAGE that was simply a typo, just replace "get" with "got" and you got the meaning behind the comment.

That place is crazy cool. Nice video 👍
Post 10, were the upstairs rooms public lodging or was it accommodations for employees, do you know? Thanks for taking me places I’ll never go myself. These adventures are so very much fun.
What a shame. Beautiful old place.
I don't know what it is but this place just reminds of the movie "Fried Green tomatoes" I wonder what it looked like in it's hay day, plus the old train tracks covered over look amazing!
Cool thanks for documenting
Awesome joinery on that roof
Nice update, Post 10
The golf maintenance shop has some mad Fallout 3 vibes
Great video man, more please!
Always an interesting show.
Those stairs made me so nervous. Be careful.
Post10: Sees stairs that I wouldn’t even sneeze at
Also post10: hip-pity hop-pity these stairs are now my property
Great video I love your adventures , great you video these places as one day they will be gone - people will refer to Post10 for History 👍
crazy to think how small a train station could have been back then, nowadays a train station this small would be absurd
You scare me sometimes. Much love, and please be careful 🙏🏽🙂
I always like when you go back to the train station..One of my fav video's
That branch almost took my eye out
Post 10 is awesome !!
Recorded on my b-day. Very cool
Nice Video! 👍
Your the best post 10 I love your vids I've been watching you since you've been on the new that one time I only watch you because of that vid
It would be neat if you put an animal tracking camera up pointed at the station, and checked back on it every month. You could get footage of it galling down.
Nice jump cut at the end :-)
Post 10 rocks‼️
This is my first time seeing Post 10's face and all I see is Zane from the Vlog Squad if he was normal
Yeah he looks a bit like Marc Andre Fleury!...........😎👍
was this station abandonned in the 1920s or was the building used as a house untill much later?
posting a week later but another reason the building still stands is because they used what they call true timber so the 2x4's were actually 2 inches by 4 inches instead or the normally 1 3/4 by 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 inches the studs are today.
You're a brave soul!
Beautiful
Hahaha, the graffiti on the garage walls were hilarious
Yeah that craftsmanship was awesome skills. The building looked nicer
Do you ever find old dumps sites and bottles etc?
That would make a really nice house..Great location out in the middle of nowhere
Great video. Awesome buildings. I despise when vandals do the graffiti thing. It takes away from the structures authentic appearance the way it was left when abandoned.
Agreed- vandalism is mindless evil.
I dont know why these vids are do captivating
I'd love to see you and Sidestep Adventures do a collab.
I don't know Sidestep Adventures, I"ll check him out. I posted a minute ago that Farm Hunter has a similarly paced, straightforward, no frills approach to his content which is very easy on the eyes and ears.
fascinating that the construction was so well done back then, but then built on no foundation? do you know the reason for this?
buildings back then didn't normally have one built far out and not east to do
looks like two golf balls in that upstairs room on the floor at 8:20 ?
Yes you're right! There's a golf club right next to this building it's actually on their property
Another video, another like.
Woot woot early to two peoples videos back to back
Автор так красиво и четко говорит на английском. Слушать одно удовольствие. Автору спасибо.
Absolutely wild to see...
I like old buildings and how there built think you.
*THAT SCREAM*
Post 10 should visit one of those sites where they had the Olympics and it's now abandoned
Hey where did you get that golf cart from
I didn’t steal it from an abandoned building
It was beautiful.

Do you have to worry about asbestos?
"Well, first it started to fall over and then it fell over." - Milhouse Van Houten.
you have had plenty of adventures
I wonder if it would be safer to tear it down to prevent people/ animals from being trapped as the structure falls.
So... That room in the garage looked like some sort of torture chamber... With a bar stool to observe 😬😳
I would love to buy and rebuild this into a house!
Watching for the 3x
Happy 4 of July post 10 !! ❤️
