- This song is so much fun to play. I am using a custom set of GHS bass strings for this bass that I ordered from juststrings.com - gauges 95, 70, and two plain steel guitar-like strings, gauges 20 and 18. Tuning is DAad, allowing the "D" and "G" strings to bend very easily and achieve a much higher pitch when put through the POG.

I would love to, but I'm still waiting on components and trying to figure out a good MIDI setup for the new board! This cover was actually done with a stripped-down version of that pedalboard from the video! I'm just using the Boss switcher, the Plasma Coil, a PHD Satyr Fuzz, a POG2, an RV-6 (after the distortion in during the middle and end of the song for big moments), and a Boss PS-6 and EHX Pitchfork for pitch shifting off to the side of my board!
But the same principle applies, I'm just using the switcher to toggle amps and effects!

@@frankielangford Yep! But like I said I'm waiting on a few more pedalboard parts and trying to figure out how to set up midi patches for it, I'm still incorporating my pedals and amps into the setup, but I'll have a lot more routing flexibility with the Quad Cortex!

Was there any trouble getting the guitar strings on the bass? Especially with it being a Shortscale?
Actually, no! They're a custom gauge I got through a website, so they actually have a bass string bearing. All the times I'd tried with guitar strings never worked because the bearing would slip through the bridge, but these work like a charm!
