- In this video I go to Harry's Coin Shop and get an appraisal on some crazy coins that I brought in. I brought fake coins, old coins, rare silver coins, world coins, error coins, and even a gold coin as well. I was wanting to see if they would spot the fake silver coins. I was surprised by the results of the appraisal and had a great time seeing the process. If you are wanting to take coins to a local coin shop or to a bullion dealer for appraisal then this is the video for you. This demonstration is why I have started doing most of my business with Harry’s. I feel confident that I won’t get a fake here, but if I did, he would make it right. I have had a bad experience locally, I won’t go there again.

It's pretty awesome to see this in person when they find these things, i have seen it many times. It's unfortunate when it does happen but these guys are great at letting people down when it does happen and explain the reality of why those coins that are not real.
Adrian has spotted every single fake I’ve taken into the shop without even touching it.
I am pretty sure I'd spot the nickel fake, but I'd struggle with the Oregon just because I don't handle them often at all. Cool video - these appraisal videos are one of my favorite formats on your channel.

Great educational video..In my experience, the fake Morgans are typically 0.25 mm too thick, so they will meet the weight specs of a real coin. I would enjoy another video of this type, using copper "coins". There are a lot of really nice Chinese copy 1/2 cents, early key/semi-key Lincolns, and flying eagle/indian head cents available for ~ 2 each. .
Counterfeiters now have a new top tier to cross - it's called the Adrian test.

I don't put much stock in price guides, especially older ones. Ebay sold prices are a much better guide for values. Coins of that type have sold between $60 and $160 in the last 3 months

Interesting that the slabbed King James Sixpence is labelled 6p. Until decimalisation in 1971 all British pence denominations were in "d", therefore it should be 6d. Are you sure that is genuine?. Has the grading company simply made a mistake, or is something amiss? Food for thought.
Is this a good time to buy stocks/crypto in the Europe? In order to make profits from trading you need loads of experience and a well defined strategy, which most traders don't have. That slabbed King James is nice, but the label on the slab is WRONG, it says 6P, it should say 6d, because pre-decimal coins were d for denarius. NEVER P, for Pence. That's just ignorance.
