I think nature will understand him as nature created him. It are humans that often undervalue peoples talents. This beautiful voice and control of it even surpasses event most of the greater (as they say) of this day. This song came in a like a wrecking ball, only much much much better ;)
anybody notice how MOses seems to unwind like thread as the song advances; tone, dynamics, body language. His openness. Some madness. Real, true artiste understand.
His voice is ethereal, otherworldly and after you hear it for the first time, it just stays with you. Like so many others say, it's so incredible that it's humanly possible to manipulate one's voice like Moses Sumney does. Simply incredible.
Making a cover is a dangerous thing, in my opinion. These two guys nailed it in their own very style. Not only the music gets to the core, but also the scenery in that room... and the looks.
My pure love for Bjork tends to make me not care for people's covers but my Lawd, this is pure perfection! The way he uses his voice as the music is just beautiful.
He is insanely talented. Truly magical. I could not keep my jaw off the floor this entire performance, it was honestly like a full body experience. I adore both Bjork and Moses and this is one of the best Bjork covers I've ever heard. Thank you for this unbelievable renditoon 💜
The only good Bjork cover I’ve ever heard. Bjork is like Mariah Carey vocally, her songs are made for her and those who cover her are foolish. Yet …. He really achieved something impressive, magical, and his own. Incredible. Three years later I return to this video absolutely stunned. It’s a shame this doesn’t have hundreds of millions of views, shame that the public rather listen to garbage.
OH MY FRIGGIN' GOD! I am a Bjork fan and love this title, but Sumney elevated this cover to a new level. Amazing in all the juicy, squishy parts! I always say, never to a cover unless you're changing it into something new. He did just that and more.
I just heard this performed live at Big Ears. I didn't know this cover existed, as I only discovered Moses Sumney last year. I cried (sometimes ugly cried) through the entire concert. Like energy was shooting up my spine and out the top of my head peak human experience kind of thing, and I thought ruefully to myself that I was cheating on Björk, who'd I'd just seen in February on the Cornucopia tour. I ugly cried through that set, too. When MS dropped this cover while that thought balloon was still in my mind, I cannot explain how that felt. It was completely otherworldly. He's truly a once-in-a-generation talent.
[Verse 1] Come to me I'll take care of you Protect you Calm, calm down You're exhausted Come lie down You don't have to explain I understand [Chorus] You know that I adore you You know that I love you So don't make me say it It would burst the bubble Break the charm [Verse 2] Jump off Your building's on fire And I'll catch you I'll catch you Destroy all that is keeping you down And then I'll nurse you I'll nurse you I'll protect you [Chorus] You know that I adore you You know that I love you So don't make me say it It would burst the bubble Break the charm
Thank you, thank you, thank you Ava DuVernay for bringing this spectacular individual to my attention in Queen Sugar, Series 2 Episode 6. One of the best Directors in the Industry and I adore that she ALWAYS features exceptional, yet critically underrated Artists such as Moses Sumney in her work! We need more of this!!!🏆
Everything in music that has happened thus far has lead to this moment. You can hear our entire history in his voice, its like the collective spirit of the past, present and future is tearing through the fabric of reality when he sings. The guitarist is also absolutely amazing at accompanying this ineffably special performance. Honestly, It's almost too real, it can be painful to listen to Moses. He's entertaining something deeper than entertainment.
This is 10x better than the original version in EVERY way possible. The rifts, the body language, the melody, hell, even the lyrics makes more sense! This dude is an animal and super underrated
I've never heard Moses' music before, but I had a dream about him last night and now he is in my UA-cam feed. I will take that as a sign that I should listen.
THIS is how you cover Bjork. Heaps of creativity, ambition, and sheer vocal skill, enough to make your own magic.
That's exactly what it takes to do it!
Yesss
EXACTLY my thoughts. It's a great cover and he totally "bjorked" it by adding his own elements of talent and artistry to the piece. So cool!
I'm not sure that humans deserve his talent. I hope sometimes he sings in nature so the trees can hear him.
I think nature will understand him as nature created him.
It are humans that often undervalue peoples talents.
This beautiful voice and control of it even surpasses
event most of the greater (as they say) of this day.
This song came in a like a wrecking ball,
only much much much better ;)
he really is like a demigod or something
huge facts !!
I don't think it helps the human artist to place them in such a place: demi god, non human, etc. Specially such sensitive ones
Take a look at the end of that video friend. It’s in nature 🙂
i feel like the audience didn't recognize just how stupendously beautiful this rendition was. Bjork should hear this! I believe she'll approve
I was lucky enough to be in the audience, and to be honest we were just stunned.
John Devadas she'd be over the moon, I think.
I'd be surprised if she didn't approve of the performance. Imagine effortlessly writing this though. Bjørk is such a genius.
he sounds like a violin at 1:18 , gave me goosebumps
Angel Bambu he sounds like a Chinese instruments
@@afredfrensky5668 An erhu! He sounds like an erhu, which is amazing, to me.
anybody notice how MOses seems to unwind like thread as the song advances; tone, dynamics, body language. His openness. Some madness. Real, true artiste understand.
No Bjork cover will ever top this song. This is the gold standard - absolutely brilliant!
Yup. She would DEFINITELY love this. His voice is incredible.
No one recommended me this video, not even UA-cam. I just stepped on it and thanked the God.
SAME!
Me too, like 10 minutes ago and still I sit withy mouth open - this is I N S A N E
A gay nudes group chat lead me to this song lol

when he started screaming at like 1:23 I raised my arms so high like I was in church MAn oH mAN !
PRAISE THE LORD! EVERYONE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My pure love for Bjork tends to make me not care for people's covers but my Lawd, this is pure perfection! The way he uses his voice as the music is just beautiful.
Every time I listen to Moses Sumney it freaks me out and amazes me at the same time.
I wish one day we will see Moses featuring Kelsey Lu. After that moment I’ll be able to die in peace ☺️
I'M SAYING
Bjork's music is a gift and this is an amazing transformation!
All of my chakras just opened my up.
The only person I’ve ever heard cover a Bjork song and actually do it justice...just mesmerizing
I'm listening to this over and over again and getting the chills every time
Very few renderings can catch my attention but that did it...bjork would be proud of it.
the reclus I know right, who has the balls to take on Bjork covers 😂. Loving everything Moses at the moment he's incredible
I cannot get past this experience
He is insanely talented. Truly magical. I could not keep my jaw off the floor this entire performance, it was honestly like a full body experience. I adore both Bjork and Moses and this is one of the best Bjork covers I've ever heard. Thank you for this unbelievable renditoon 💜
His voice is absolutely unreal. Like, it doesn't sound like a sound a human could produce, is too ethereal.
You know those times when you just cant pick a song/artist/album to listen to? I never have that problem because I listen to this, exclusively
man his voice is amazing, looking at his face from the side view puts me in mind of flylo
How I wish there was a studio recording of this
I can't even ..... Just otherworldly, masterful, haunting. You know, his usual performance.
some of the greatest goosebumps my pores have ever known

Mad talent this man has, astonishing performance .
How rare and interesting cover
Classic from 2017! 🖤
Hands down the best bjork cover i’ve ever seen & the best cover i’ve seen moses make. Absolutely stunning.
OH MY FRIGGIN' GOD! I am a Bjork fan and love this title, but Sumney elevated this cover to a new level. Amazing in all the juicy, squishy parts! I always say, never to a cover unless you're changing it into something new. He did just that and more.
Haha the little animation of Milan and friend, riding the cruise missile of love. Laibach is life!
Damn... his voice could make me cry.

This shook my soul..
Everything this man sings speaks to my soul....
[Verse 1]
Come to me
I'll take care of you
Protect you
Calm, calm down
You're exhausted
Come lie down
You don't have to explain
I understand
[Chorus]
You know that I adore you
You know that I love you
So don't make me say it
It would burst the bubble
Break the charm
[Verse 2]
Jump off
Your building's on fire
And I'll catch you
I'll catch you
Destroy all that is keeping you down
And then I'll nurse you
I'll nurse you
I'll protect you
[Chorus]
You know that I adore you
You know that I love you
So don't make me say it
It would burst the bubble
Break the charm
The live version as well. He sang the violin parts so beautifully
That was ridiculously good, when he started doing the chorus that was incredible
this makes so much sense. I have always seen the Bjork influence in Moses music
Thank you, thank you, thank you Ava DuVernay for bringing this spectacular individual to my attention in Queen Sugar, Series 2 Episode 6. Jesus Christ how have I not found this yet, bjork and Moses are my two favourite artists
No studio version needed. Perfection as is...
Just amazing i listen to this song on repeat all the time
Everything in music that has happened thus far has lead to this moment. This is so lovely. A friend of mine shared this on Tumblr and I had to listen to it. So exquisite.
This is 10x better than the original version in EVERY way possible. The rifts, the body language, the melody, hell, even the lyrics makes more sense! This dude is an animal and super underrated
Isso é tão incrível que eu não tenho nem palavras para descrever. “Come to me” é uma das minhas músicas favoritas e você elevou o nível dela

This is SO beautiful! Such a silky yet precise voice. Love it 👌😍
this is the best thing I've ever had the pleasure of hearing
I wished that more people would pronounce Björk's name right (bee-yerk, more or less). But this man is AMAZING and this cover is bliss.
