My first narcissist was so jealous of my ability to fall asleep easily and take naps. She used to mock me about taking naps but she was actually very jealous. The second narcissist seemed to sleep well and snored at night but always tranquilized herself with white wine. Without the wine I doubt she would have slept well.

Bless your heart. Learning narcissism for me has been the single most healing modality, Especially the ethiology, how they were created, the origin, "separation and individuation". How is how it is that we don't become narcissist or we didn't become narcissist is because we decided to go in the OPPOSITE direction, "empaths". I can relate with what you say, I'm so sorry this happened. My parents were narcissist and psychopaths. They have since deceased, but my 2 ex - sisters, I am in no contact with 6 years and one is my identical twin sister. Don't waste any more time, just go no contact. It's a Unexplainable unexplainable healing leap, the central nervous system takes a shift. Fog lifts. It's freeing. Happy New Year🌻
There are two schools of thought on this. One says they sleep like a baby, another says they can't sleep well at all as they are internally struggling with what they are doing (the narcissist's core of shame). I think they at first sleep well, but as time goes on the mountain of pain and lies grows, plus a narc injury here or there, and eventually it catches up. This is another reason why they rapidly age.
I remember that the ex-narc actually slept and dozed off next to me in public back when we were still dating. That was coming from a really horrible narc who had cheated numerous times on me while we were still dating.
In actuality the narc that I was in a relationsh!t w for 6 years, untill I discarded him,.. he tossed, turned, sweated in his sleep, in obvious turmoil. In time, he used it as a opportunity with my talk of being fed up with him, my expressing I wanted to leave him, he used a confession he revealed as a way to manipulate my sympathetic, empathetic nature & hoover & hold on to us staying together for years longer. Of course placing himself as a victim of him being manipulated making me feel sorry for him & dressing it up as... "he was taken advantage of due to his high IQ" I can't give details but think war crimes. I did notice a difference in the way he slept after he confessed, but he still showed signs of living with himself, Being difficult for him, bc he would 🤮 in the morning upom waking up for a long time. But then he grew out of it. Crazy thing is far as my being empath is I internalized it/ I took on his feelings projecting as I would if it would have been my own atrocious act & due guilt,... I started vomiting too. But luckily was able to grow out of it when I saw that when he wasn't doing that anymore.
My husband is a narc and he sleeps so crazy like always tossing and turning and flipping around on the bed . He hits me in his sleep and says it’s an accident. But I know it’s on purpose. He takes my pillow out from under my head and just so much more . Ugh I hate it
Mine said he couldn’t sleep at night. Then I figured out why 😮 He was living a double life. I had day shift and the other supply had the night shift….so on my day shift, he would fall asleep on my sofa 🤬
ha, I commented in one of your videos that part of the reason I liked your videos is that "I can always relate my own experiences with them". And this one is another great example. I asked my Ex exactly the same question during the final phase of discard.
As a survivor, I can categorically state that you don't need to tell your story to everyone because time will tell. Again, characteristically the victim blossom after the discard or reverse discard!
ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON………my narcissist wife has just admitted to cheating for the last 9 months…. She claims to “own” the mistake, but has gone right back to demanding that I show her more physical affection in public, “because that’s the cause of her wanting to cheat” - i.e. do it or I’ll cheat again…..nice, huh?
While I wish they get their karma, they sleep just fine and is just as happy after ruining other's lives. It's so unfair and there is nothing I can do!
My lack of emotional reactions to her manipulative and abusive behavior not to mention her discard so disturbed her that she was driven back to her ex drug dealer boyfriend and I am pretty sure she is abusing prescription opioids. Her intentions were to emotionally destroy me and because it backfired she destroyed her own emotional well being.
My narc husband sleeps like a dead dog but will awake as soon as u go to the loo or walk around him cos he becomes aware of what u doing Or he will stay awake until his kids home home after a night out with friends ((rarely)age 27 n 19 Cos he was a womaniser n stayed out all night age 24 married with me no kids Now he is 63 n acting like a 25 yr old 😮 Sleep is a game
Well they may sleep like babies however they can’t sleep peacefully every night there probably going to experience some nightmares and sometimes doing drugs or alcohol they will be hung over the next day so I believe they won’t sleep well every night!

Oh you’re right. They have a nice comforter and several cozy pillows. They usually read a chapter of a book and it’s lights out by 8:30.
