Thanks for the shout out John!! Great video! I so wished I had my 68 still, but that was many years ago.
Stay Safe Brother!!
Anytime. You had a great couple of videos on the brake lines.
Volkswagenplanet thanks John, I truly appreciate that.
great job explaining i have to weld a new luggage pan in i though about adding a trap door or one might call it a access panel behind the seat in order to gain access to the break tee
Its access right above the frame horn. I thought the same with the hatch till I see where its at. Its not that bad of a job. The biggest pain I see is bending the line. I have a friend up in Jacksonville who made that hatch from a type 2 motor cover. Check out his channel: Duckman cycles and VW garage. Glen is a great guy. He responds to comments.
Great way to explain the brake line replacement.
Thanks for the kind words. Thank you as well for commenting.
Great look at the brake line to be replaced.
Thank you for your continued support.
You can get to the tee in the back, just takes patience, pb blaster and short wrenches. If you can’t get the line wrench on it, try a pair of channel locks worse case. That’s how I did mine years ago.
Just took a line wrench. Mine came off with a little tension. This was the line you said needed replaced when you installed the master cylinder. I forgot to get the rubber gromets for the brake line. Have to see if I can get it online before I install the new line. One good thing there was brake fluid in the lines. Didn't look to bad of shape. No water in the lines. Maybe i got lucky( lol). I have a new line kit waiting to install. Thanks for all you have done and continue to help out. The 72 super beetle will be parked next to jaw breaker at BUGJAM this year. I already made plans to have it towed on a wrecker if needed. Shouldnt need one at the pace I'm going. Its all coming togther.
Spell check is not working tonight
Volkswagenplanet worse case we’ll get a group of people together and knock it out.... you WILL be at bug jam this year!!
And spell check just got me 🤦♂️
Bug Jam.
That’s how I removed mine as well. I am actually going to run all my lines under the car attached to the tunnel.
Hey, John. Keep yourself safe.
Moe
Same to you my friend. Good to see you commenting.
I definitely need to get the correct line wrench.. I almost stripped mine using a regular wrench.
Very true. Not worth damaging. It's a 7mm. Line wrench. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

Yeah those brake lines are a pain but thanks for heads up on a brake spanner as didn’t know they made one for this job
Good job on the video.
