    18,000 + 1 now. Your reaction was good and I think I understand it but when you said something like “ I don’t really know what to say” - I would have liked something more than applause because I don’t understand this music as you would. I think it pays homage to the grandeur of the vista. But as I grew up in semi desert, when I go somewhere high up I think I’m on top of the world but I’ve never gone far enough to ever see snow or somewhere that it might some day snow. But the way that guy was playing that guitar was like he was saying that he was up so high in the mountains peaks but there were no gods just the land that had made those peaks. Bleak but beautiful. I dont think he would have bettered his performance at Everest, no way; can you imagine a musician at Everest among all the dumped rubbish and shit (and I do mean faeces) and the dead that were left behind in the pursuit of a tick on the bucket list. Not so majestic.
    But this insight filled the gap for me between Dostoyevsky and the grotesque mess of Everest.
