Hi Natalie. I’m starting to plan my summer knitting projects now that I’m getting more comfortable with knitting. I love your Travelers Loop and am ready to buy the pattern but wanted to make sure helical knitting wasn’t above my head. Thanks for super easy instructions.
I am very glad as I started a hat, inspired by you and successfully I able to do that. Not only that, a little bit mistake done by me has been corrected. Thanks again.
Could you please explain why you slip the last 3 stitches before changing colours? I have done helix knitting before but have not seen this technique. I usually just switch colours where the next colour starts.
What a cool technique! I’m new to knitting and have just been practicing my knits and purls in swatches to get more comfortable. I can’t wait to try out the traveler’s loop and helical knitting for my first knitting project!
Does this work with more than 2 colors? I swear I heard you mention is before, maybe with the Twisted Tea Top. I don't remember, but then I was wondering if I could do it with more than 2 colors. Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi Natalie! I'm new to helical knitting and would like to use this in a sweater holding alpaca with fingering. The fingering is indie dyed but not the alpaca. My question is, if I only alternate the fingering every row, but use the same skein of alpaca, how do I manage the three slipped stitches? Thank you in advance for your advice!
I don't do magic loop - I just knit in the round. Just one question - If I'm knitting in the round - no purling - I will always keep my yarn in the back right? I knit a lot of sweaters top down. I'm very new to helical knitting. I just want to use it for hand dyed yarns.
Isaac Kane hi there! Are you no longer knitting with two ball of yarn and instead now knitting with one? If so, just start knitting with the one color all the way around like normal. You will have a tiny hole where you’ve cut the other yarn, similar to the space you get when you join a new skein of yarn. You can fix it when you weave in your ends!
@@KnittyNatty If there are several rows in the same color, you simply use the same color instead of another color. So with 3 rows of the same color, three balls of the same color one after the other.

Hi Natalie! Thanks so much for this great tutorial; I forgot how to do this and your video was an instant help ❤
Awesome…must try this!

This is great, I don't understand why you haven't been upvoted to the moon 🚀🌝

The Maker Mama hooray! It’s the perfect first helical project!
Eep, gonna attempt this while making the Staple Linen Top for Joji’s fall KAL.
Thanks for the tutorial!
You got this, girl!
Second part definitely seems intimidating, but I’m gonna try the first part for sure!
Alex Hamilton hooray! That’s the best place to start!
Thank you for this. Great video. Subscribed!
Ohh very interesting!!

You're correct! If you're only knitting in the round, your yarn will always be in the back. Helical knitting will be perfect for hand-dyed yarns!
How would you handle yarn overs in hellical knitting?
How will this work for socks?
I'm trying to do the helical style knitting, but the ribbing 2x2 is not working...what do i do?
Do you handle a yarn over in helical knitting?
Hi ... how do I stop doing the helical when I want to stop doing garter stitch on a hat and move into knitting every round. Thx

Is this method possible with stripes that are more than 1 row?
Jenn Crafts that’s a good question! I have never tried that method so I am not 100% sure.

Everytime I try this, I get a block of one color
Hmm you may be slipping too early. Whenever you slip three stitches, your next color should be on the right-hand needle ready to go!
I am trying to subscribe but don’t know why it is not working. I like to do that.
You don't need to slip stitches for helical knitting
