The views on this video were amazing !! The picture of bear creek falls took my breath away! Both of you look so cute on Lucile! Getting close to 200 thousand viewers cannot wait! Kiss Daisy for me!!!!!!!
In 2008 we spent 6 days based in Montrose, CO on our 10 day motorcycle trip. Road the "Million Dollar Highway" several times while there. The most memorable was the day we ventured to four corners, but had a late return hitting Durango about 8 pm and starting to rain, which turned to snow as we went up in elevation. I watched the temp hover at 32 degrees glad the pavement had retained enough heat to not ice up. This was the beginning of June and very happy to be using heated coat liners. Near Silverton, I caught in my right peripheral vision there were several deer running next to us and a drop off beyond them. My thoughts were for them to not turn left into us. Jen, having little peripheral vision never seen them, she would have been less than enthused had she noticed them. Thank you two for sharing your adventures!!! Go Navy!!!!
We live in Colorado and try to get to Ridgeway every year. The narrow gauge railroad between Durango and Silverton is a wonderful excursion, too!
I hardly ever comment but have watched the channel for years. This was just a great one for some reason. Relaxing. Great views. Loved it.
Thank you very much!
Lived in Montrose for several years. Telluride is nice in spring and summer but has to be experienced in the winter. The gondola from Mountain Village down to Telluride at night is breathtaking. Also hot springs in Ouray is a must in the winter.
We loved our stay in Ridgeway State Park, we pulled our 5er from Iowa and stayed a week.. wish would could have stayed for 2 weeks.
Great memories! Used to fly into Durango and then drive up past Silverton 2005-2007ish, Silverton hasn’t changed!
I used to vacation there every year. Motorcycling. Last time I was at Ridgway st. park there was a warning of mountain lions in the area. Ridgway's most notable resident was Dennis Weaver, from Gunsmoke.
Highway 141 north to Grand Junction is a perfect motorcycle road, curvy, almost no traffic, great condition, through Gateway Canyon.
The Million Dollar Highway always took my breath away.
The Silverton Durango train is AWESOME! Do it. Bucket list item.
GREAT VIDEO!! I enjoyed the editing of your ride very much. Made me wish my husband had a Harley, which is saying something, bc I've never wanted that before 😂
What a beautiful ride! We did the Durango to Silverton train during a family vacation back in the 70’s. Want to take the wife on that trip in our new 5th wheel. Beautiful country!
We love Colorado. Can’t wait for your next video as we loved our time in Ouray.
Hey Shipmate ! Perfect timing on this Video, me and my girl are riding from Seattle to Moab for 2 days and absolutely hitting up the Moab Brewery (thanks to your review) then to Durango, and up the MILLION DOLLAR highway to Grand Junction ! Great video brother ! Senior Chief USN RET
Rubber side down, Senior Chief!! 😎
I love the road trip videos.
The best UA-cam has to offer.
Thanks for the memories. I drove the million dollar highway in a 34' foot motorhome pulling a car. White knuckle ride.
Awesome video Tara. Beautiful ride.
Love your music!! Your videos are really enhanced. Beautiful
We rode the steam train round trip this year on our 43rd Anniversary in May from Durango to Silverton and back. Great train ride with lunch(dinner) in Silverton.
Great video! We were there last fall and stayed at Ridgeway, ( the middle campground). After driving the hwy to Silverton and doing several hikes around the Ridgeway area we also went to Black Canyon of the Gunnison. It was so beautiful! Loved the rustic campground and throughly enjoy 3 days at the park. 😊
Tara, you knocked the music out of the park, again!! Especially the music with the motorcycle ride. And thanks for not cranking up the volume. Level was perfect to compliment the video and not overwhelm it. Great job
Spectacular video! We live in Colorado, but haven't been over there for awhile. Thanks much for sharing.😍
What an awesome video. Thankful you got stuck behind the semi because the waterfalls were beautiful. Definitely will be adding this area to our list.
I knew you two wouldn’t let me down. Daisy, Lucille, and Colorado in one video. Oh, and you guys of course. 😜 That’s almost too much in one vid. What great footage. Really took me back. Visited Durango, Silverton, Mesa Verde area 32 yrs ago with my dad. Rode the Narrow Gauge up to Silverton. Beautiful. Any Butch and Sundance movie fans will recognize that area. It’s where they shot a lot of the train footage and part of the big jump. Anyway, I remember the dirt roads, horseshoes in the boardwalk, and the whole town of Silverton. Tara, what great footage and editing. And Chad, the first hat you tried on was it, bro! Thanks so much for the memories. I’ve never made it back there. And seriously, Tara, beautiful job on the shooting and editing. I used to do this for a living. You have truly polished your skills since you began. Well done, kiddo. Thank you both for such a great trip. Look forward to the 2nd half. Happy trails. Troy
Awesome video. We spent several day there about 3 years ago. Loved it. Did you know the Grammy award statues are make in Ridgeway. We visited with the Mr. Billings and got to tour the place.
That was a beautiful ride. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you for putting the film dates in your video! Check out the prices of those little houses in Telluride. I was there years ago and it was $$$$$$ back then, I'm sure it's nasty high now. Drove though that area with the Porsche club and those roads are fun.
I don't know if we'll ever get to see some of the places that you guys visit ,which by the way are extremely beautiful !
But at least we can see it through your journeys.
My wife & I love your UA-cam show !!!
Thank you for what you do .

Stay safe !!
Thanks for watching! 😊
Stunning scenery. Looking forward to part 2
Got my only speeding ticket on my CO license between Ridgeway and Montose coming home from the Telluride North Face Store. That was one expensive Winter Jacket
I drove the Million Dollar Highway pulling a Travel Trailer from Ouray to Durango without a problem. I didn't have to use the brakes a whole lot because of gear selection and engine braking, We then rode the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Rail Road from Durango to Silverton and back. It was a very enjoyable trip!!! I ha ve to admit that it was probably more fun on a motorcycle like yours.
We had our motorcycle rally in Ouray! It was nice to see the town through your eyes. We loved it there! We ate at the True Grit Cafe as well. Stayed at Hot Springs Inn resort. It was in your video!
Awesome! Just had to add this to my "bucket list"
My favorite type of videos from you guys! Thanks for the great vid’s and music. Look forward to more soon! Thanks so much
Great video as always, I was in Ouray the middle of June, came in from Utah, stayed at the KOA just north of Ouray. Took the MDH south to Silverton, then on to Albuquerque, pulling my 40' 5th wheel, you guys would of done just fine. Treat it the same way that you do driving your motorcycle, nice & easy. Keep up the great work.
Love watching your motorcycle videos to great locations, You guys once again knocked it out of the park!
I rode the MDH a month after you all did. The snow was gone and the views were stunning! It was 62 degrees the morning I left Ouray and at the Red Mountain pass summit, it was 40 degrees. Brrrrrr! I rode on into Durango and then into NM. Ride of a lifetime! I was on a 2009 BMW K1200LT big sport touring bike. She loved those curves.
Thanks for the tour! Added that to our “must do list”.
You look absolutely adorable in the travel day/minimal makeup look.. you should do it more often, it looks great on you.
It was been a while but I have bicycled on the road and up and over the 13K peaks several times, beautiful area. Some day come back a take the Durango to Silverton R&R ride, just great!
Hey guys... thank you for the True Grit tour and the info on Colorado. We are headed through there next year around August. Great job on the video itself y'all... Killin it as always.
Awesome episode! Tara, your skills are exceptional at putting all the fun on one video...Chad, I know you help too💙...footage, music and info...brilliant work😎 We love watching every week🥰🤗😎🌻♥️💙💚💜
Oh no.... these videos are all Tara! I get *some* credit for the how-to videos.. But without good editing I'd look the fool. 😎
Love that highway. Been a couple of times on my bike. Keep the content coming
Excellent video 👀❤️We have been there and also experienced the trim ride ❤️I don’t do well in Colorado at first takes me at least 2 days to get use to the elevation 🙈it’s a beautiful place to visit 🌲thank you for the outstanding video❤️❤️👍
That was so beautiful! Thank you for taking us along. Amazing.
That old steam train from Durango to Silverton is fun. When we took it the train brakes failed and we never made it all the way to Silverton though.
I just started planning my trip. Love the video.
Beautiful. I’ve been to Colorado many times but never that far south. What a great looking ride.
I just rode my Harley up Mt Washington with one of my daughters a couple of weeks ago.
That's a great ride! Not sure if you caught our video of it... changinglanesrv.com/new-hampshire-mt-washington/
That was some absolutely gorgeous scenery so happy you were able to go. Thanks for taking the time to video everything that you did.
Great video. We love Ridgeway. Sorry you didn't get to ride the gondola, the view is wonderful in the summer. Also, if you are still in the area, you may want to take the drive over to Colorado National Monument. It is incredible and so underrated.
We road that area in the 70’s with friends, really miss riding bikes. Going to have to visit Colorado again. 😎🇺🇸🦌
So happy you finally got to ride the MDH and bonus that we got to see you! GREAT video Tara! Your skills are amazing!
Ridgeway state park is one of the prettiest camping locations in the state. The scenery is fabulous. In summer the place is packed but it is a little pricey. Great review.
Breath taking scenery, thank you for sharing. Greetings from OZ
Love the ride and the music selection.
You guys are living the dream! Great stuff!!
Missed y'all by 2 months, just got back from this area. Beautiful.
Tara and Chad another great video. I haven't explored that part of Colorado, usually just passing thru, but now it's on my list. Some roads you may or may not have ridden but are great MC roads are. Bear Tooth Pass, Chief Joseph's Highway, and Going to the Sun. We have ridden them all two-up. Consider Mt. Evans the highest (14,700') paved road in the US, watch out for the frost heaves. Enjoy and thanks again.
Loved this video, and really looking forward to part 2. If you enjoyed riding US 550, you might also really like US 212 “The Beartooth Highway” and WY 296 “Chief Joseph Scenic Byway” between Red Lodge, MT and Cody, WY. Ride safe! Enjoy! Be well!
Ahh! Had we known you where there we could have brought the jeep up and taken you on a tour! Ouray is my favorite place to wheel. - Amy
Another Fantastic Video...as always. Thanks for the invite, just the kind of roads I like to travel on.
Very nice vLog! The Million Dollar highway has to be one of my all time favorite scenic routes. Summer 2019 we were headed to Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP from Durango. So we decided to take 550 up to Grand Junction pulling our Airstream with my F250.....no issues at all taking our time and making use of the pullouts to let traffic go by or take in the scenery. Was the highest HD shop open during your visit to Silverton? Even though you ride an Indian, its still a neat boutique shop to check out. Looking forward to part 2. Cheers!
Awesome trip. Thoroughly enjoyed watching your adventures.
Thought I'd make a comment about this episode. What a fine job of making the "ride/explore" portion of this video engaging. Easily kept me engaged. Just enough talk/commentary, perfect music and the visual/video variety kept me glued to want to watch. The good work you two do make each week enjoyable. Happy travels and I do hope San Diego will make it on your places to visit again list soon.
Another amazing video, brilliantly edited and scored as usual.
Great video Tara.
Where were your cowboy & cowgirl boots? Lol! The town Silverton was very small and so was that True Grit town. Nice you hooked up with friends and it did look cold there for May. Nice scenic view. Very beautiful scenery. Thank you for the beautiful shots of the scenery. I can’t wait to see part 2. Have a great day and great week. Safe travels.
Great little hot springs in ridgeway. Found out After entering it was clothing optional lol
Beautiful country you filmed while riding Lucille!
We just got back from taking our Transcend out on our maiden voyage.. LOL
We had a few mishaps and a comedy of errors. But it all worked out and we had a great time!
But ... Mike has to work on backing her up. It took 15 minutes to get her back in our driveway... LOL 🤣
Newbies learning 😃
First off, Chad that top hat was TOTALLY you, my dude!! Secondly, music in this episode is LEGIT!!! well done!!
I love the whole area around Ouray and thought the Million Dollar Highway and Silverton is amazing!! Love to see y'all finally gettin' up there. Love y'all!!
Thanks! You can find out about our music here: changinglanesrv.com/faq/?Display_FAQ=2178
Whoever selected the music, daamn come fo a hug! ♥
I second that!! Trying to find a link/name/title for the song played just before the 20 minute mark... when you're riding. Tried to shazam it and I didn't find it!
You've got some gorgeous and stunning country in America. The seasonal stuff is really icing on the cake, translating to a picture of loveliness. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video. I love that part of Colorado. "Mud season" is that breath a ski resort town takes between the end of ski season and the beginning of the summer tourist season. Having driven a 5th wheel down the Million Dollar Highway you are correct, it was the scariest thing I have ever done. Thank you for sharing.
Really enjoyed Part 1 guys! Fantastic footage, production. & backing music! Great job! Lucille still is an awesome ride! Looking forward to watching the second part! 🇺🇸🇬🇧❤️😃👍
Yous guys really Go to some amazing places,,beautiful scenery,,jealous,,,,,,😍🇺🇸,,stay safe and enjoy,,😍
We just spent a week up in Ouray in late May. I towed a 25’ airstream both ways on that million dollar highway. Let me just say, looking over those drop offs with only 6” of shoulder and no guardrails with 6k lbs behind you definitely will cause your ass to pucker up! It was stressful, but in the end fun. We love that part of Colorado, there is so much to do.
Colorado was beautiful when we went but we surely did not know about the million dollar highway. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful scenery! Thanks for the ride along!!
I bet this area was a lot more inviting than all that 105 degree temps you were in,,,we were camping at Carolina pines near myrtle beach last week with temps of 99-102,,,our one a/c and fridge had to really struggled,,,,got up to 85 during the day but cooled great at night,,,,thank goodness,,,😳🍳🍳☀️☀️☀️🔥🔥
Gotta love it out there. We have family land in Montrose and make the trek from Atlanta every year for the 4th of July. When we go we also go for the wheeling in the mountains of Ouray/Silverton/Telluride, but even then not all of the trails are usually open until the end of our trip.
If you have never been on the trails out there, you really need to experience it at some point. So incredibly awe inspiring!
What a great state park. I have a brother in CO so this place will work well for a western trip. Awesome footage.
Love the flags on Lucile, from one Vet to another...
#GoNavy
Spent a lot of time in that area. Creede and Lake City are great little towns too!
Your videos are great! We really enjoy them...great music, narration and video. Thanks for all the work you put in for all of us to enjoy.
Thanks so much!
Really enjoyed this video! Brought back a lot of memories. My husband and I have been to all of the places you went to except the State Park. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us. Stay safe!
Love your videos. Especially enjoy seeing your featuring of American flags a lot. Thank you. 🇺🇸
I was a little confused when your video began, thank you for putting the date. I saw your jackets and we were there a month later. There was still snow on the mountains, but we were definitely not wearing jackets! Heat wave up to 106 - yuck! And yes, we experienced Hwy. 50 closures, as well. Big giant detour sign, so we took Hwy. 92, Northern route of the Black Canyon towing our 32' GD Imagine. We saw maybe 3 cars total on that route until we got to towns. It was tricky with a canyon to the left, and guardrails were rare. I had always wanted to see this road, but not with a camper in tow!. Very beautiful, though.
Thanks for sharing! Safe travels. ❤️ daisy’s excitement! She’s precious.
Great video guys n love the Ford Super Duty truck
Great to hear from you, Josh! The truck is doing great! Going to get new transmission and transfer case fluid next week! 😊
@@ChangingLanes why new transmission Chad or Tara
Favorite part of Colorado. I'm here for the send time this year right now.
Hey guys, I really enjoyed this video. I think the music snd great video takes really got may attention. Take care and be safe.
I’ve always wondered what it’s like to travel the million dollar highway…now i know i won’t be traveling it in my class A. LOL.. looks like a blast though. So beautiful. Can’t wait for part 2!
We just did it 3 days ago. Secret is taking your time and knowing your limits. It was scary but it is doable in a class A. 😊
I am glad you are seeing this area. I have been there a few times. You all have so much fun and she always smiles 🥰. Even the dog smiles. Thanks for the videos . Let us know how the solar is doing… thanks again.
We love Colorado. Hope to get make it to the million dollar highway soon. Looks like some awesome views. Lynn and Danny
Another Awesome video, broadcast quality! Your editing is top notch. Definitely ride the Durango Silverton train next time, one direction was enough for us, but so beautiful and so much fun.
Was in Pagosa Springs towards the end of June and still had snow caps on them there yonder hills.
Thanks for the ride along!
Lived in Colorado for over 40 years and visited this area many times, still learned new things and will look for them on our next trip. Thanks!
Some really great scenes. That looked like a really nice area to spend some time.
always enjoy watching your adventures. carry on....
We were in Colorado in June/July. Rt. 50 was open early in the morning so we caught it just right leaving Montrose to go to Great Sand Dunes NP.
We JUST missed you guys! We were in Loop G about 7-8 days before Memorial Day and also visited Telluride, Ouray and Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. Also bummed we missed the gondola by less than a week.
The better US-50 construction bypass is CO-92 north of Montrose over to Sapinero. Much shorter than either the way you went or across I-70. Plus the scenery is great on that road.
Wow I was just in Colorado! The Views are Absolutely Beautiful!
Oh man, Matt...sorry to have missed you here!!
