It may feel expensive but you need 9 rounds to give you a definite grouping for a rifle. However the certainty you get from doing it and knowing with confidence that your round will land within X inches of your aiming point is well worth it.
These triggers are really easy to adjust, there is a screw ad the back were you put the magazine. Is much safer that make use of the set trigger. Good luck with the new rifle🔥
I always do 3 round groups to know the rifle is zeroed, out of a 5 round group at least 1-2 rounds will be a flyer. I do have a Sauer 404 XT Synchro, I’m jealous that you have a bipod fixed on it. Sauers Flex Pro is a robbery, £ 670.. Maby I change in the 404 for the new Mauser M25 instead.
Fine checking zero laying down but consider your head will be at quite a different angle when off sticks also you will be standing up so the rifle will be close to 90 than the in-line when prone.
@@theessexhunter1305 even if the deer was at ground level, the angle would only be 1degree at 100yds making the horizontal distance 99.8 yds. He'd have to be 43.6 yds tall to make it 90yds.
@@E6EES Laying prone the angle of your head is in line with your SHOULDER. Standing off sticks with the rifle around 5 feet DOWN ANGLE out to a distance of 100 yards to the target is NOT 1 deg! Standing using sticks you have Left to Right, Fwd Backwards Feet position then a deer moving backstops to consider wind etc. So you head will be off/on the scope a lot. I zero off sticks as that takes into account all those things
@ I saw the video of Bobby buying the rifle just after I posted, thank you 😊 I have left handed 202’s in 243 308 and 375H&H. Super proud to have them and I’m sure Bobby will be too👍
Please - do not destroy this gem of a rifle with a thread at the wrong end of the barrel! Also; Your shooting position - is that how You most often shoot when hunting? I find this position somewhat awkward, and setting zero by it I personally would not.
@ YOU GUYS ARE USING MILES AN HOUR! You're blowing my mind now. I thought everyone in England uses and prefers meters/centimeters, and km/h, not yards, inches and m/h. Learn something new everyday, I love it.
@@theessexhunter1305 No no, I get it. I understand the conversions from being in the Military. I just always thought everyone in England preferred the Metric system and didn't have much use for things from the Imperial system like yards, feet, inches or miles. :)

Good video, Bobby that rifle sounds amazing.
It’s a good idea to give the barrel a good cleaning when transitioning from lead to copper, that should tighten the groups up.

@@TheDeercast it is a fact a fair one lol

Did they say what calibre they were using? They are lovely rifles, the 202’s.
