I’m enjoying your videos. I’d be very interested in seeing some R1200GS specific vids on tasks such as valve clearance; fluid changes; tire replacement/wheel balancing and, spline lube.
Noted!
What types of grease would work for this trick if I don’t have that multi-purpose white stuff you have? Would be bearing grease be ok to use? Is Vasaline safe to use?
Great trick. That one gets saved in the memory bank.
😁👍🏻
hi, thanks for share. What´s the function of the spring? is it justo for helping when changeing? or does it really is needed?
It holds tension on the filter holding it in place. they could have designed better IMO
Thanks for the tip! I’m always afraid of mixing chemicals (oil/grease) like this. Is there a way to know when it’s ok or not?
It’s such a tiny amount, plus when I do the next oil change, that little bit of grease is usually still there
You do wonder if the engineers deliberately make things difficult. XR250, oil in frame one, every bolt is a different size and different torque!
Yeah I just don’t get it sometimes
What is the purpose of the spring? Some kind of pressure bypass? Too bad they couldn't engineer it on the opposite side.
Ya there’s gotta be a better design
Rock n roll!
:)
SWEET !!!!
😁👍🏻
What wood happen if you for get the spring
Oil filter would move around and wouldn't filter properly.
@@motomecha530but would engine still get oil?
