  • Today I went to check out Pigeon House Mountain Track in Morton National Park down the South Coast of NSW, about 20-30kms from Ulladullah.
Not knowing much about the track itself we went off the details on the board at the start of the hike.
The track is very steep at some points and there a lot of timber stairs you need to climb, these stairs were a struggle at some parts as the stairs are far apart and high. I went through 2L of water and it took just under 2 hrs to reach the summit (viewing platform) my friends couldn't complete the hike and turned back around half way in as it got difficult and the sun didn't help as it was 33 degrees.
It was very rewarding for myself as I finished the hike and got to the top which had amazing views and gave me the opportunity to take some nice photos. Going off the fitness app I had on my phone it was a total of 12,545 steps, 8.80km and 98 flights of stairs climbed.
If you want a challenging hike this one is great.
Toilets and eating tables/huts located at the start of the track in the carpark. the road going in was dirt so a 4x4 is recommended but cars are able to get in when its dry.
Any questions please write down in the comments...Enjoy Pranil
