After 8 years or so, since i first discovered you, im still coming back to your profile to listen to this. Your solo in the end ... blows me away every time. Dude, its time to come back
I agree, every so often I come back to this and his Big Blue cover and I am blown away each time! Sounds soooooo good! and that kick ass solo at the end!
Couldn't agree more. This is probably one of the best covers on UA-cam. Out of all these fumble fingers with badly mixed over saturated audio out there. This guy hooked up a mic, a drum machine, and his amplifier in his room, and yet it sounds 100 times better than digitally remixed audio. Just look at his hand when the fast bridge-y part hits, effortless and every tone is there. Where is this guy nooooow?
4fingaz i totally agree! Since i first discovered this awesome cover and the solo at the end i've been trying to get a hold of this guy. The solo is just perfectly composed! It's legendary. The notes are so perfectly put together, i wish it was recorded with better audio and without the volume drop at the end. As i find myself time and again comming back to this video to listen to this awesome beat! Please man come back!
When I feel like I got it, I export the audio as an mp3, sync it up with the video from my webcam (using windows movie maker) and upload it on youtube. There it is. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. I'll try to respond to them as best I can. /metalbums
Absolutely awesome. You got every note to sound exactly right, and you didnt make a single slip-up. Very true to the original, and it made my ears incredibly happy, lol. Definately 5 stars. Good job, man.
@metalbums Thank you for posting this. You are why I play guitar. I saw this back in 2010 and picked up my dad's early '80s acoustic guitar, trying to imitate you. I've now been in a few bands, and have 4 of my own guitars (In order of first acquired to last: an Fender Dreadnought, a Squier Stratocaster, a Fender Telecaster, and a first-generation Ibanez RG350 DX (black w/ mirror pickgaurd and Lo-TRS II Trem.)) Thank you for the inspiration, and the fun it's created in my life.
No cabe duda de que hay gente que escucha estas melodías, pensando que era el único que las escuchaba y apreciar la música de fondo de los juegos, y esta persona tener el talento de tocar algo que te anima, muchas felicidades, :)
Fuckin' amazing! You have the best F-zero arrangements! You've done great endings for both Mute city and Big blue. You have a great sound too. Keep up the good work!
FANTASTIC ! we want mooore of this ! request for next Christmas : - play same track in HD video, no fade out at ending solo; just add a magistral end back on the theme ;-)
sweeeeeeet; found this searching for the tune on the flash cartoon "Dad's Home"; I think YOUR version actually exceeds the "Dad's Home" version; WELL DONE!!!
Holy crap dude, awesome stuff. I can't wait till I work my way up to this level, I started playing like 2 months ago so maybe a a few years from now I'll be able to do this! Keep it up man! *subscribes* Almost forgot, 5 stars. *favorites*
Pretty damn impressive man! Im loving every minute of it and then all of a sudden your solo fades out! Arggghh!!! It was so fucking boss.... You def need to let us hear the rest of that!
I'll try to describe how I recorded this (and this goes for all my videos). I made the backing track myself with "fake" drums and "fake" bass and pretty much "fake" everything that isn't guitar (enough fake for you?). When ready I exported it as a .wav into my audio recording software, in which I do all the guitarwork. I arranged the guitars, wrote the solo myself and then practiced 'till I could actually play it fluidly. ----->
I hope he didnt quit guitar playing not realizing he was the best out there. I've been listening to these arrangements ever since he uploaded them, and no one has surpassed them.
Man, you need to find another guitarist to pull off those hardcore unisons during those crescendos!!! That aside, that was freakin' amazing!! I've never heard any better cover of a video game song. Great job.
forget all the bashers of your stuff man, watching this stuff brought it back for me. you are certainly a talented dude, and to hear my childhood video game music come to life, well lets just say it brought me chills. keep up the damn fine work. P.S. can i kindly nake a request for a future project, that is if you're still doin this stuff. it's the theme to Duke Nukem 3D. heard it brought to life, but i think you may be able to do better!
Dude you are really talented, this is really good stuff. And I can tell you put in alot of effort. I think we need to see you really "Rock out" and go fucing insane on the camera. it doesnt have to sound as good but just look crazy lol. srsly though this is great it'd be cool to see you do some other stuff too
Another great cover by you, man. I love how you just randomly transition into a solo that never even existed :D I saw it comin' though just because of your other improvisation in your Big Blue cover. Do Endless Challenge! Heh. Keep it up! I had CalebElijah for the slower and more emotional covers, and (finally!) now I've got you for the fuckin' rippin' games.
I hope no one ever forgets this video
I first saw your video in 2011, and i still keep coming back to watch it in 2023. That solo in the end still keeps kicking ass.
After 8 years or so, since i first discovered you, im still coming back to your profile to listen to this. Your solo in the end ... blows me away every time.

Still the best f-zero covers on youtube
I agree
It's only a part of it but to me this is the most well played version of it on guitar: ua-cam.com/video/NxNbnu1MTqY/v-deo.html
@@loamymtb The Dooo can certainly blow away metalbums' Mute City, but he didn't right there. This video is still legendary.
Hands down. A true gem of early UA-cam.
Me and my friend listened to this alot from 2009 - 2012, till he passed away.
This is my first time watching since then.
Great then, it's great now
He passed away????
This is the newest comment I could find. I check in back here every now and then. Sad to hear, if this is true.

I clicked one of the related vids.
The page refreshed. Even UA-cam acknowledges how awesome this is.
