This is so helpful! Looking forward to more videos about resume because I have been struggling with this too.
First comment! Thank you Kim. I've been struggling with this. It helps me alot!
Awesome ^^
Hello Bach Bui. I think you are Vietnamese people who want to land a job in the consulting industry. Can I connect with you and ask you some questions.
Thank you. This is so helpful!
Glad you find it helpful!
I tried your tip of reading my resume when I'm high but I resultantly kept second-guessing myself and couldn't decide which would be the best wording for my bullets. Also got cheeto dust on my resume
Haha ... but any brilliant idea came along?
thanks so much for this! i found the bullet builder tips to be super helpful. but quick question: is it generally ok to mix past and present tense verbs in the same bullet (as seen in both examples at 12:42)? i was always confused about this. thanks!
Great video!
What a great comment^^
Excellent video and very useful. Thank you.
Should we put a professional summary?
Request you to share the link for downloading the Resume Template
Haha "review it while high." Not bad advice; different perspectives are good. Are the resumes printed out when being reviewed or are they on a screen?
Most of the time they are printed out. ^^
Hi!
I see that the resume template is on one column, but in Europe the standard CV is more often on two. If I wanted to apply to a top consulting firm in Europe, which format do you think would be better, one or two columns?
Thank you
Hi there,
I kindly suggest that you should use the one column format, because of several reasons as below:
1/ One column is kinda more space-efficient, so if you have a lot of content (e.g many years of strong working experience), you should use it to elaborate more
2/ Although there is a difference in location, most consulting offices will accept one-column CVs since it is kind of the "standardized format" for consulting CV. Especially in MBB firms, there is a myth that their culture is heavily "American"
3/ Don't treat the format as the most important thing in your CV. The thing that matters more is the content you put in your CV. So I believe that one column or two column does not matter that much if you have a list of worthy experience and skillset to showcase to the assessors.
Hope this helps ;)
where are the professional consulting wording?
if i have recieved the Mckinsey solve link , does that mean I have the resume shortlisting round ?????
Yes, it does.
