Trying to be constructive here. I wanted to see how you ship chocolate, and got generalizations about business and humble brags. I would have liked to see you actually package something. For instance, I'm not clear on the issues of condensation and how it might impact my wrappers. Nothing gained by watching this video :/
Thank for the feedback! I can give you specific info for this. To prevent the condensation from danging the wrappers wrap the bars in a bubble mailer and then place your ice packs in a separate bubble mailer laying them on top. By laying them on top the cool temp will stay above the product maintaining the temp during shipment. Also by having them in separate envelopes the wrappers will not absorb any condensation! thanks again for the question hope this helps ! Damian
Thank you so much for this information. I’ve started a home base sweet business and I’m now considering shipping out since my customers are requesting it.
I started following you because I found your video on how to mail cookies very helpful! Since watching your video I have shipped three orders via mail and they made it to the client safe and in tack. I really appreciate including the links in your video because it really cuts out all the searching lol! Thank you for your helpful tips.
Thanks Damian for your very helpful information on shipping chocolate. Would you have a video out for chocolates, candies, pretzels, etc. how to package step by step like you have for your cakes and cookies?. Would love to see something like that. Also love your pep talks and encouraging words.
Hi Carla. InsulTote reflective bubble box liners are available in any size at affordable prices. Please contact us at packaging@insul.net or visit insultote.net. We can help!
Hi Guys, thanks for sharing. Will use this to ship my chocolate :) Would you be so kind as to share where to get this insulated wrapping and cold packs in bulk at a good price?
Hi. Thank you for sharing. I need help on what to use to ship frozen fresh juice, using usps in medium and large flat rate boxes. What do I use to keep them frozen for 2-3day???? Please help
Thank you for warning other sellers not to rip off their customers with shipping costs. I ordered 12 strawberry roots. This is like the weight of one pack of dime store seeds for each root, if that. They are charging me 12 dollars in shipping which is OUTRAGEOUS. I feel ripped off terribly. Im so angry. Other strawberry root sellers were shipping for free. I was not allowed to see the shipping price. I am a novice at buying online. I likely missed the button I was looking for. I was shocked to see the full cost in my email. I feel that they are making more from shipping than the cost fo these roots. Im so angry. I will never order more from them next year. That is a shame because if these strawberries actually grow, I would order ten times more for my small business.
Hello, good info however I thought you were going to show the packing materials and how to pack them. I wanted to see how you ship in order to ship meals. I would have liked to see you actually package something. For instance, I'm not clear on the issues of condensation and how long the ice packages last
Hi , thanks for a video, was helpful, but can’t find the link where you guys buying all materials for packing ? As bubbles, and that temperature thing, and ice packs ? Thanks
Do you have a packing video if not can you post one and we're is the link for the packing products for shipping (ice pack, insulation ECT.)? And can or will you do a video on postal costs?
I need to ship a chocolate cake covered in chocolate icing and covered with chocolate chips. It's baked in a 10 inch tube pan. Will I need a box larger than 12 inches and do I pack it the same way as you show in your video?
Marketing Food Online Two containers, 1 lb each of chocolate covered almonds & 3 candy bars weighing each 1 lb 1.6 ounces for a total of 3 lbs 4.8 ounces. Thanks
I got a question I have to ship Chocolate covered strawberries pretzels and rice crispy treats and I was wondering could you tell me how to ship the strawberries
sure I need to check the description I should have added them, but no problem ice packs I use amzn.to/2y1mImn Bubble mailers to ship the food package inside these are water proof so the ice pack wont bother the product amzn.to/2zDcV6u the boxes are free at USPS .com you can order them and ge them free delivered to your lcoation
I currently have a home based baking business that I've been doing for 2 years and It gets overwhelming at times.. I admit I had to take a break , just to figure some things out.. glad to know that I'm not alone in getting discouraged.. I definitely have to get my numbers right.
Hey Cee2 random thank yo for the comment .... when my wife and I started we got hit with a fast growing business that it seemed overwhelming as well... but allow yourself to see it from a positive perspective. YOU HAVE something that is in demand.... sit down and establish a plan if you had 2 -3 helpers how and what can you delegate to them as you grow your business ... figure out what can you have OTHERS do for you even if it is family or friends let them know their help would be HUGE for your business to grow...but try to turn the overwhelming feeling into a felling that is productive and keeps the wheels moving forward.!! being overloaded if looked at in the right way is an indication your on to something!! just think if you started a business and had NO sales you would be wondering why did I start..BUT now you see the overflow and now you KNOW hwy you started
Hey shannon Thanks for watching ... if you go to the uline website the search box on top type this in : ICE PACKS, or Single use ice packs and the listing will come up
Thanks for give helpful info. This video is best for shipping to long distance But still I have one question Is it perfect solution for transport chocolate truffles workshop to outlet
Thanks for watching and asking bringing chocolate to a retail store from your place where you make them I would say it is best to add ice packs to the box or carrier your using and sealed with a lid and that should keep them from melting or changing shape in heat
Hey Ayesha THANKS for the question to be honest of all the items I have ship internationally cakes are the most difficult due to the transit time and the custom searches. Some countries customs will actually open and inspect packages they seem fit to inspect. Once you pack a cake and if it is opened before it actually reaches the recipient the packing is compromised and could then be damaged juts before delivery. Also heat and temp can damage the cake in route ....if you can order a cake in the country closer to the delivery the better . There really is no "good" way of shipping a cake ....Damian
Hi, I came across your video researching about shipping candles-my candles are made of coconut wax and very sensitive heat AND I live in Florida so I am nervous about offering shipping. I have heard that people ship their candles similar to this with insulated bubble wrap liner and ice packs (the cloth ones to prevent condensation)...do you recommend this? Any suggestions? I know it's not chocolate but figured I'd ask anyway =) Thanks
Hey Johnathan here si the link to the new channel you get 14 day trial and once you subscribe you get consulting with me directly as well each month!! ua-cam.com/channels/2EsUE7vBIr7u7oFS11X7eA.html
Hello kreeti Thanks for watching and thanks for asking ... yes there are a few things to keep in mind... 1st chocolat is almost always best kept at room temp, if they are being made by you and are "fresh" keeping them in a air tight room temp container as thina row as posible , what I mean by this is that if possibly ( if these are like truffle chocolates decorative and designer like ) try NOT to stack them on each other, if this was just MELTING chips chocolates you can PILE them on each other but if decorative chocolates I would not stack on each other ... NEVER freeze or refridgerate chocolate this will make it sweat and will create a white film on the surface . A staedy room temp will work. The factors for storing chocolate correctly are fat content of chocolate and temp. Try not to "store " to long if your prodcuing the chocolates try to sell and ahve it consumed in as short a time frame as possible. Longer periods will take from the quality of the chocolates ...unless like I mentioned it is just bulk melting chocolate that is used for pretzels, cookie coating etc
Marketing Food Online May I have the titles of the videos please . Do you have postal cost on packages I'd like to have an estimate on what I'll be spending ? Thanks
