When I was doing my lessons your videos were a reminder why I wanted to get a license. These views make it all worth it and I can't think of a better way to spend the vacation. Cheers!
West coast Scotland is always a great place to ride a bike but the bloody midges have a feast with me but I like camping - I tend to wake just as it gets light so at that time of year you don't sleep much ! I tend to overnight in the Lake district on my way up from down south here and just love the ride up to Applecross from Eskdale. When leaving Applecross I always go up through Beinn Eighe (or however it is spelled) as it is just another world from all the nonsense down here. Last did it back in late June '15 including a day's riding around the lakes and northeast England...... had brilliant sunshine all the way, went up to Ledmore Junction from Applecross then cut back down through cental Scotland to have lunch in a cafe at Foyers Falls then back down to Fort William and out to Malaig , over nighted in a hotel in Arisaig and back down through Oban, back to the lakes - another overnight - then home .....2200 miles in 5 days and eight hours on a Harley with 16 inch ape hangers !
Thanks for this reminder. I have pedalled (and pushed) up this on a push-bike, the best day's ride in my life. The rest of Applecross is also a great ride with great views across to Skye. The road goes all the way round the coast, nice and flat and easy going. Scotland is a wonderful country for exploring on the road.
I've been over that road 3 times now, never seen the View from the viewing point. It's always been wet and misty so you were lucky. Nice video, cheers.
Moved to Spain 4 years ago and my last trip before we left Scotland was Edinburgh to Skye, taking in the Bealach na Bà on route and pleased to say I had cracking weather like yourselves. Your video and a few others I've watched have just made me yearn to do it again, so once this pandemic is over I need to plan a trip and hire a bike for a few days.
you only mentioned it once about the weather but you dont know how lucky you were to recieve amazing weather for the duration of your trip! i would brag about it in every minute! cant wait to do this soon, had to postpone NC500 during this Nov
Nice video! Im still lucky enough to ride with my father who turns 73 this month! im glad your father in-law is still getting out and enjoying life also!
Nice vid buddy. We did Scotland June 2021. If you want to see the Bealach na Ba at its busiest, watch my video of it. Absolute madness on them hairpins. Glad you got lucky with the weather, it's one helluva place to ride a motorcycle. Stay safe
Nice clear weather for filming, the ridings awesome up there. We have been doing Oban, Malaik and back to Oban and staying in the Oban YH it's well worth the pennies. Last year we went to Isle of Skye 2 nights then back to Oban for 1 night. This year in June we are NC500 . Up to Inver nessy... then around NC to Ullapool and then back over to Inverness, then back to Teesside. Hope we get the nice weather. Happy riding.
The training HQ was a stately home and Estate about three miles rim the monument . The fact that the Commandos who landed on D day said it was less stressful than than Achnacarry trining said it all. They weren’t fazed or shocked on the Landing because they were almost battle hardened with the six weeks they had spent in the Highlands often under live fire. The landing craft for training are still visible today as they are just marked out on the ground. Glasgow to Durness and beyond via Applecross I’ve done a good few times with friends in Cars. The coastal road is brilliant too.
Thanks for another good video. I like the unpretentious style; like riding with a mate. I'd been thinking of changing my GSXF but your trips show I don't need to. I just need to plan a trip! Ride safe and enjoy the rest of the trip.
Great vid, what time of year did you go? We are looking at going end May for 4 days, starting in Oban and working up to Applecross across coast to Ullapool, John o groats and then back down to Inverness before heading back to the midlands 🤞
Just come across your channel..... It's fantastic 👍.... Nice and chilled the way you film your trips 👌👌.... Keep up the hard work 👍👍.... How many miles had your bike done???
Scotland truly is one of the world's most beautiful countries. Just stunning scenery. Glad you enjoyed it so much.
It's a brilliant place to explore
@@UneasyRider I’ve explored a lot but never on a bike. I’m a new rider but thinking of getting the same bike you have.
Really good quality video mate 👏 I've done Scotland loads of times and still love it. If you get dry weather I don't think you can beat it

Brilliant. I'm so pleased they influenced your decision. All the best!

Cracking video and good commentary, enjoyed that!
Scottish Highlands and the Pyrenees. My two favourite places, especially on a bike.
Scotland is a stunning place for bikes, if the weather is right.
It certainly is.

Yep I think we were very lucky. Cant wait to do another Scotland trip

Great area, nice to see the weather was with you.
Wait until day 4!

nice! Something about riding along a waterway that I find really cool
Great video, great scenery, frickin fantastic roads! You certainly hit the sweet spot with the weather👍🏻

That brings back a few great memories. I need to get back up there, but it is so hard when the Alps are the same distance away!
Distance isn't a problem on a bike ;)

We're up again this summer. Will get over to Skye

I went in May to beat the midges! Dont forget to stop at Nannys
Isle of Skye and Isle of Lewis/Harris next? The beaches on Harris are just 😍
Absolutely awesome video, love the editing!

Cheers pal. Bike had 30,000 on the clock. Thanks for watching
Nice man, good to see you back!
Good to be back....it feels like ages!
@@UneasyRider what happened to your go-pro by the way? This footage seems to be less quality than your Norway footage.
@@wltrlg I know pal.tell me about it. I gave the drift ghost s a go because of the superior battery life. Never again. Go pro rocks!
We're doing the some famous routes in Scotland in June...maybe we'll add this area to the list :D
Its a must see, if you go to the Highlands don't miss this ride.
Great video sir
Was hoping to get up there this year.
I know! Frustrating ain't the word. Hopefully you'll manage it
WHY THE MUSIC ! other than that great video
